Ok, but…

Garbage in the bathroom and laundry was not dumped. Dishes in the cabinet were dirty. I washed them before using them. Tv Roku not plugged in or setup. Dish towel hanging from the fridge looked dirty, I didn’t use it. Not salt or pepper, no cooking spray or butter. Those are there now because I bought them and left them for the next guest.

Great location

Just as listed, located in a perfect location with a grocery store across the street and lots of places within walking distance. Owner was very responsive to questions. Older house but in good condition and clean. Not noisy and felt safe. Would stay again.

nice place in a nice Seattle neighborhood

We liked everything about this house - the location, price, value, and set up was pretty good. It lacked a few things like a microwave, and the over had not been working, but we were warned about that, and the owner did have a toaster over available for us. Check in was easy, and we spent 7 low key nights here. Our only snafu came when we had checked out, and the owner dinged us as "the worst..." for not cleaning up sufficiently, though her rules and instructions only indicated "Rules:- no shoes on inside the house- no yelling, loud music or partying- no overnight guests that are not on the booking- quiet time starts at 11pm to 7am...Checkout:- dirty dishes in dishwasher- all trash and recycle in the bins (the inside bins) We cleaned up pretty well from our perspective, but her comments indicated she had expected us to do much more, and she wrote, "

Excellent stay in Seattle

The house had all we needed - comfortable, spotlessly clean, and well appointed. I loved the blue walls with white trim. Host was very responsive and we appreciate that he agreed to two special requests that smoothed our trip greatly.

Cute old bungalow

Came to Seattle for a 3 day getaway. Accommodations were good. Location a bit noisy with being on the corner of a busy bus route. Grocery store right across street for ease of food needs. We do wish there was a microwave. Parking was easy.

Comfy bed, great location

We stayed in this great spot. Very comfy bed, plenty of space to sprawl even when friends popped in to visit. Nice architectural touches that let you know this was a well-cared-for older home. Even Off-street parking! And the neighborhood was great. Convenient grocery store across the street but also a very nice PCC market just a few blocks away with organic, bulk etc. We’ll be staying here again

I stayed at this property in Summer of 2024. Let's start with the good things: Plenty of space. It has a full kitchen if you want to cook. It also has a complete washer dryer set, which is an extremely useful feature. It is also close to a couple of bus routes, which makes transit simpler. Unfortunately, it is extremely overpriced. At a certain price point, things are to be expected. Though VRBO forbids me from mentioning specifics, the price point could have easily let me stay downtown or on a lake. Also, the host lacks a means of storing luggage. This is confounded by the fact that the property is large. There is plenty of space to drop bags, and I am extremely surprised the host has not figured out how to do so, especially when he has an electronic lock. In addition to this, the view/yard is of a street and doesn't match the advertised photos. Next, construction quality. The walls are thin, and I could easily hear most buses and cars that went past. Again, it would not be an issue at a cheaper price point, but I expect more quality at the price point. Also, the hot water tank is undersized, and could only fill up half the bath tub before the water ran cold. Lastly, the host does not communicate well. I had to contact VRBO directly, and even then he insisted on communicating through the app. This is the hardest time I've ever had contacting a host. Though this VRBO might be good for specific cases, it does not appear to be worth the high price.

Our stay

Great location. Chris was very accommodating. One thing to note is that some of the kitchenware had mold. We had a very pleasant stay. Would stay there again.

Great stay, convenient location.

We really enjoyed our stay and it was very convenient to Capital Hill and Madison Valley, where our activities were located. It's also right across the street from a grocery store and coffee kiosk (and easy walking distance to other restaurants). The house itself was perfect for the two of us with well-equipped kitchen, large dining area / living room plus a TV / family room. It was also great to have a dedicated parking space and a washer / dryer. A few improvements to mention... the master bed pillows were pretty thin and there's no microwave. The host told us that previous guests abused both, so now they don't provide a microwave and they supply cheap Target pillows. The water supply to the shower drops dramatically when you fill the dishwasher or washing machine. Finally, the basement level is also rented out, and walking around / noise will transmit from the upper floor to the lower one. This VRBO would be a top choice for a Seattle stay.

Cottage

This cottage was just as pictured. Very clean, good location. All the necessities and then some are included. The availability of a washer/dryer as well as a parking spot is awesome. Would stay again.

Good place to stay close to town

My partner and I stayed here while attending an event at the convention center, and we were very happy with the location and the unit. Check in was easy, there are a lot of good restaurants, cafes, and bars nearby, and overall it was a good experience. Check in was easy and communication from the host was good, he even sent a few recommendations for places to eat and things to do in the neighborhood, which was helpful since there's a lot of options nearby. Overall, great value for the price and definitely somewhere we would consider staying again if we were back in Seattle.

Safe neighborhood with many great restaurants and views of both nature, lake and city scapes. Close to parks, universities and right off major bus lines in all directions. There is enough local activity that you never have to go downtown but when you do - it's right there!

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

With this house it was really all about location and being close to everything from Lake Washington to the Arboretum to Capitol Hill restaurants and nightlife and downtown. It's even close enough to Light Rail Stations that getting to and from the airport is quick and cheap.
