Kom och koppla av i ett charmigt nittonde århundradet hem som har uppdaterats med alla moderna bekvämligheter och bekvämligheter. Njut av utsikten över Mt. Adams och Columbia River medan du lagar en läcker måltid i det moderna köket, lyssnar på musik på din iPod eller iPhone. Vi har just byggt ett vackert Ipe (brasilianska lövträ) däck vilket gör att utomhusutrymmet sträcker sig ytterligare.

Detta hem har nyligen renoverats med helt nya trägolv i hela och har gott om plats för alla. Wi-Fi är tillgänglig i hela huset, verandaen eller bakgården och det finns gott om plats för uteservering, rekreation (badtunna, volleybolls nät) och även ett trädhus i bakgården.

Golvplanen är modern och öppen med flexibla sovande arrangemang: på övervåningen finns två privata sovrum med queen size-sängar och en bonus våningssäng för barnen (eller större partier) med 2 våningssängar (en är en drottning, en tvilling) och en extra rulla säng för extra rum. Nedre våningen finns också en ny bäddsoffa i TV-rummet och en futon soffa på kontoret.

Arbetsplatsen på bottenvåningen har ett skrivbord och en kontorsstol med gott om utrymme för att få lite arbete runt kanterna. Det finns olika bekväma platser att sitta och läsa en bok, inklusive gungstolar på verandan, en solig balkong över trappan eller en trä schäslong på den privata bakdäcken.

Du kan äta utomhus under en vinrankskog, och njut av en majestätisk Mt. Adams utsikt eller det finns ett traditionellt matbord med extra blad och gott om stolar i främre rummet.

Det är en 2 minuters promenad till den fantastiska Hood River skateboard parken eller en 10 minuters cykeltur till Waterfront Park längs Columbia River. En 10 minuters promenad tar dig till huvudcentrets shoppingområde i Hood River, full av trendiga restauranger och butiker. Glöm inte att sluta med Mikesis Glass!

Denna stuga har allt: alla bekvämligheter i hemmet plus alla extras du förväntar dig på semester (Wi-Fi, bubbelbad, uteservering) och en downtown Hood River plats som inte kan slå, på en lugn gata ännu i gångavstånd till alla de bästa platserna Hood River har att erbjuda.

Great Stay!

Was in town for a quick getaway with some girlfriends & we enjoyed staying here! It’s close to town, was clean and we enjoyed the hot tub! The owner was very pleasant to deal with and I’d highly recommend this house!

Great ladies weekend

We had a really great stay in this house. It was fully stocked with plenty of bed space for a girls weekend in Hood River. We walked in to town, soaked in the hot tub, enjoyed everything Hood River has to offer! Will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful house, beautiful town, great hot tub!

House is great - has lots of beds, two full bathrooms and a full kitchen. Central air (heat and cool) and hot tub are great as well. One of the rooms has a beautiful view on the gorge and river.

loved Hood River

A group of 5 were in town for a wedding in Hood River. We had a wonderful stay at this house. It was spacious for three different groups, and we enjoyed plenty of space to socialize around the events of the weekend. Would be happy to return again sometime.

Fantastic Family Accommodation!

What an awesome house in a superb town. We had a really wonderful three days here and wish we could have stayed longer. We have three kids and the house was perfect for a family with tons of space for the kids to play as well as cosy nooks for adult relaxation. Tons of character, light and charm in a convienient location. Exceeded our expectations. We hope to return for a week next time!

Great experience overall, location was great and ample space for our group of 6 adults and baby

We loved our stay at this house for New Years weekend. All the rooms are upstairs, and the sound is well kept downstairs when the door is closed. The hot tub was lovely in the cold weather. Instructions for the property were easy to follow, and Karen was super accommodating and easy to communicate with. Hope to return again for the Spring/Summer months.

Santa train trip

We stayed here to take our kids (5 & 2.5) to the santa train and the location was perfect - a 5 minute drive. The house was great and clean, bigger beds were comfortable, twin trundle wasn’t (but our kids didn’t care)! Our only feedback for hosts would be: More kid friendly items (baby gate for stairs, kids dishes & utensils, stool for sinks) and a heat source for the TV room (it was cold!)

Hood River

Great location - close to everything. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own bed. Kitchen was clean and easy to find everything. Hot tub was fun. Grill burners are starting to show age though; One spot over the middle burner seemed to get more flame - even when I moved food away from it.

Great Spot for Some Good Family Time

This was a well-located and cozy home for some pre-Thanksgiving family time. The kitchen was more than adequate and the 3 small, separate living rooms downstairs gave everyone some space. Our only negative was the absence of any closet space. We could walk to everything in town and enjoyed some chilly hikes and warming lattes. The antique air and auto museum was also well worth visiting....kids loved it!

Wonderful home, great location!

Our group of 6 adults and 2 toddlers stayed here for a long weekend in September and it was great. The layout of the home is really smart and comfortable - all of the bedrooms are upstairs, and there is a lot of space on the main floor for people to do their own thing, while at the same time allowing plenty of room to gather for meals, games, etc. The kitchen is fully stocked, and there is a little TV room/Den right off the kitchen with lots of toys, books and games for the little ones. The view from the porch is gorgeous, and it's less than a mile from Downtown Hood River. The owner was very nice and easy to work with.

Lovely home near downtown Hood River, OR

We stayed two nights at this property. There were eight of us--6 adults and 2 children. The home has lots of room for people to spread out and have multiple activities going on simultaneously. The walk to downtown takes about 10-15 minutes. Parking is good. One car can park in front of the garage and one or two more by the picket fence. The home has pretty much everything you need: plenty of towels including dish towels, plenty of dishes, silverware, cookware, a great new refrigerator, a washer and dryer, etc. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again should we come back to Hood River.

Charming

Lovely home in a great location. Tons of room for our family of four but the layout (many smallish rooms that give everyone their own space, very typical of a 1900s vintage home) would easily accommodate a larger group. Nicely updated and decorated, with plenty of amenities (soap/shampoo, towels, paper products, etc). Cookware is old (typical rental) but fine; appliances are high end, various ages, all work well. We were there over Thanksgiving so had brought along the special items we knew we would need. Plenty of tableware. Great communication well in advance of arrival so easy to find, park, and check in/enter home. Walking distance to downtown and many restaurants and a short drive to Safeway. Our first visit to Hood River and we had such a great time.

Great location for a girls' trip

Hood River is a beautiful town. The location of this house is amazing! The downtown area is awesome and this is house is within walking distance. The house was perfect for us. The three bedrooms are all upstairs, for those that wanted to go to bed early. The dining room was large enough for all 6 of us to eat or play games. The living rooms were comfy and spacious for when we wanted to spread out and chill. It rained the whole weekend so we didn't spend anytime outside, but the deck area is pretty spacious. This house is older, so the inside stairs creak. Getting into the house there is 3 or 4 uneven stairs without a rail. That wasn't a concern for us, just FYI This house was great and I would definitely stay here again.

Great location!

Our yearly girls trip was limited to one night this year and Hood River was a central meeting point. I began the search for a place with beds for each of us (4) and found only one house rental that would accept a single night. Karen was great to work with and the house fit our needs. It was clean and well furnished and located just a short walk to downtown. We had a great lunch at Full Sail Pub and explored the many shops downtown. Don't miss the Goodwill Boutique, great items! The house is an older one that has been well renovated while keeping its charm. The kitchen was stocked with all the utensils and dishes we needed for our simple meals. We have rented many homes all over the country and Canada and this was one of the top homes for location, cleanliness, and condition of the house. Karen quickly answered our inquiries and was a pleasure to work with. Thanks, Karen!

Great location, cute house, could benefit from updating.

Our extended family of eight enjoyed Thanksgiving weekend at this house- loved the location, loved the hot tub, appreciated the space. We did find that overall the kitchen area could use a bit of TLC. We bring our own equipment for cooking and I would not expect a rental to have the things we need for a big dinner, but the appliances in the kitchen with the exception of a new refrigerator/freezer showed their age and could use replacement. The bathrooms were well appointed and beds comfortable- lots of openable windows so light and fresh air were plentiful. Loved the variety of games and puzzles; we had a great time playing board games and we watched "The Shining" Thanksgiving night in the cozy backroom- kids and all cuddled up with the abundance of quilts, comforters, and pillows the house provided, watching a scary movie. We took advantage of the proximity to downtown to do some family walks, admiring the houses and yards in this pretty area. We drove over to the Washington side and enjoyed the 'fruit loop' area, stopping here and there for cider and other local products. We would have done some hikes but the day after Thanksgiving was pouring so we limited our time to scenic views then stopping at Backwoods Brewery in Carson for libation and lunch. Overall we had a great family time in a great location. We all commented how nice this house would be in summer with the porch, the view and the back deck and tub and nearness to various activities Hood River has to offer.

Great space but needs updates

My husband and I frequently stay at vacation rentals and appreciate that home owners share their space. So my comments are hopefully constructive and not meant to be negative - just feedback. Initial contact, instructions and access information was all clear, good and friendly. The house has a nice feeling but the furniture and kitchen supplies need an upgrade. It first struck me when I pulled out a teflon coated cookie sheet that was seriously dented and scratched then found a general lack or organization. Plastic cups in various places, coffee cups in various places... one wine glass? The bottom drawer containing plastic storage items did not have matching lids/containers. We had to rearrange the furniture to have a configuration that would accommodate three adults and conducive to conversation and had to fashion side tables from chairs so we had some place to set our beverages. The awesome space of the two living areas in underutilized and could be much cozier and designed to accommodate a small gathering to sit and visit. Maybe one room could be more kid friendly and the other suited for adult hangout time. The TV room is ok for a couple adults or a few kids. Three adults watching a movie would have required re-positioning furniture. We did enjoy our stay and really liked the setting, porch view and super hot tub - and dulcimer (now tuned)! Again, thank you for sharing your space and it is a great one - just needs a going-over.

Great house with a nice little entertainment room with fantastic sound quality.

We rented this house for new years and had a great time. Easy to walk home from the saloon, quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed the entertainment room and hot tub! Perfect little getaway!

We take pride in our home and are happy to share it with fellow travelers.
