Great Getaway!

The cabin is just far enough away from the city and traffic but still conveniently close to all the attractions. The trails around the property are nice for an early morning or late evening stroll. The cabin is stocked with everything needed so you don't have to go shopping as soon as you get there!

Perfect cabin retreat

This is by far the best VRBO I have ever stayed in!! From the Nora Jones CD playing upon our arrival to the bottle of wine and cheese in the fridge, this couple knows how to make your stay enjoyable. They have thought of everything for everyone!! Fruit bowl, sugar free and organic condiments, the best soaps, fans, games, movies and books galore! We stayed here for a Mom and daughters girl trip and could have just stayed in the cabin the entire time and would've been perfectly happy. It is very secluded and out of the city but it is only 15-20 minutes to Oaklawn and all of the great restaurants Hot Springs has to offer. We also enjoyed watching the deer every morning in the front yard! If you're looking for a wonderful family or couples retreat stay here!!! You wont regret it!!

Limited cell phone service

The cabin was nice and well stocked. The only issue we had and not the owners fault. Unless you have Verizon cell service beware. We had att and t mobile and we had no service. The cabin does not have WiFi or a land line or cable. It was difficult to plan your day or keep in touch with family. We used our car GPS for the first time. The only place we got good cell service was in the downtown hot springs area.

Very nice cottage

It's a lovely cottage in a very nice location: 20 minutes to downtown Hot Springs and about 30 minutes from some great hiking trails in Ouachita National Forest. Just about any supply you'd need for basic cooking was in the kitchen as well as a basket of fresh fruit on the island. If you have the bad luck of rain or poor weather, the owners have board games and an extensive library of DVDs or VHS tapes. The player attached to the TV plays both VHS tapes and DVDs. So if you have favorite movies that you've never obtained on DVD, you can bring the tape. Evan dropped by while I as there to check in and make sure everything was satisfactory. He was also very communicative and helpful with information on the area in his emails to me about the property. When I arrived I found more information about the area already assembled in binders in the kitchen. All in all, Evan and Jen provided an A+ experience.

A Serene Stay

We rented this cabin for a quick trip to Hot Springs for a wedding. It exceeded all our expectations! After the craziness of trying to get out of town and the kids crying/fighting most of the way there- I actually felt loved by the host’s special treats, burning candles, and music upon arrival. Only to find that the pantry, kitchen, and laundry were fully stocked for our stay. No other rental has ever gone so far above & beyond to make our stay so relaxing and carefree. It felt like coming home to Grandma’s house for the weekend. These people are in the right line of business! The only issue we had was that the downstairs shower was not functioning, which put us down to one tiny bathroom in the loft. We were so busy with wedding events that I didn’t even have time to report the issue though so really it can’t be counted against anyone. Also if you have small kids with you up in the loft and you sleep in the master bedroom directly below, be warned there’s nothing but boards between you. Sleep will not be easy. I would absolutely stay here again- but without kids and I would make sure the bathrooms are working prior to arrival. Still highly recommend.

We had a great stay at the cabin. We enjoyed utilizing the fireplace and there was plenty cooking equipment for all our meals. The two bedrooms downstairs and the three beds upstairs in the loft area worked great for our group. Thank you for the clean and well equipped cabin!

The cabin was wonderful and suited our family well. The kids loved having their own "space" in the loft and all of the toys and the basketball court for play. The kitchen was the best stocked, I've ever encountered on a VRBO rental and the wine/cheese/fruit was a nice touch. The kids were very pleased with the ice cream in the freezer too!! Everything we did was no more than a 30 minute drive away; the location is very convenient to Hot Springs and both Lake Catherine and Lake Ouachita. We had a great time!!

Home was very comfortable, beds were great. House was a little further out than we expected. Any and every item you may need was provided, dishes, pots, pans, glasses, condiments. Our family relocated to Hot Springs from New Orleans following Katrina. We chose to live in this area because of its access to beautiful forests, mountain trails, pristine lakes and natural history.

Because we love the outdoors, we were fortunate to find this special 18-acre property which is surrounded by very private forests, yet only 20 minutes from downtown Hot Springs, 15 minutes from Oaklawn Race Track and close to beautiful lakes, horseback riding and canoeing.
