New rental since summer 2021.
The CHALET-2-SPHERES pursues the claim of a decidedly exclusive holiday home in an unusually beautiful location. The name 'Chalet-2-Spheres' is derived from an upper floor dating from 1688, renovated in 2013, and a decidedly modern lower floor. These two very different spheres are strongly accentuated in the interior design. The upper floor also houses an unusual exhibition of 30 animal taxidermy specimens, some of which are of museum quality. The view from the chalet is of the four-thousand-metre Dent d'Hérens (4,171 m) to the south and of a mountain range around 2,500 to 3,700 m to the west.
The chalet is classified with 4 STARS by the Swiss Tourism Federation.
ARCHITECTURE: The chalet was newly built in 2013 by one of the most famous architects in Valais, Anako Architecture. The special architecture received a 4-page article in a trade magazine at the time, this is available on request.
HOUSE: With 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms ideal for 4 persons. Possible up to 6 persons by extra mattresses. Upstairs large living area with 37 sqm, up to 3.20 m high and panoramic windows to the southwest. See floor plans and photos.
LOCATION: The chalet captivates with its quite unusual unobstructed view to the southwest and west. The optimal south-west position grants sun from morning to evening, even in winter. Particularly impressive is the very unobstructed view and the location of the chalet 800 metres above the depth of the valley. The two large terraces attached to the house make you feel like you are in the middle of nature and the mountains.
PHOTOS: They are all real, so nothing has been 'added'. But they are also 'edited' in the usual way. The scenes outside show special situations of different seasons.
FEEDBACKS: Feedbacks from first 19 guests since beginning of the rental in summer 2021 are shown on this plattform.
Since 2015 we run the holiday home CHALET AVANTGARDE in Törbel, near Visp/Zermatt, see ad 2184348, there are 150 feedbacks listed. This is the highest number of feedbacks recorded in the whole of Valais, with approx. 4,000 holiday properties on offer. Undoubtedly, the approach of CHALET-2-SPHERES is to provide guests with a comparably convincing holiday experience.
FRENCH LANGUAGE: The chalet is located in the French-speaking area of Valais, but you can get by just fine with English. So the correct name is 'CHALET-2-SPHĂRES'.
WINTER: There is no ski area in the immediate vicinity, but 3 medium and one very large one at 25 to 40 minutes drive: Quatre Vallées as the largest ski area in Switzerland at 25 min, EvolÚne 25 min, Nax 30 min, and Arolla 40 min. The ski season in EvolÚne and Nax goes until mid-March, in Arolla and in Quatre Vallées until early/mid-April.
SPRING / SUMMER: End of March to the beginning of May on clear days it is very beautiful, but no greenery grows yet = a quiet time. From the beginning of May, spring awakens with power. Beautiful hiking trails, both flat and steeper, are in the immediate vicinity of the chalet.
A special feature, however, are the three alpine settlements above the chalet, which are connected to each other by a mountain path - these Alps are truly 'picture-perfect'! (The photos only reflect it to a very limited extent.) A guest encountered there in the summer of 2020 said only 3 sentences, quote: "C'est incroyable. C'est incroyable. C'est incroyable!"
The valley 'Val d'Hérens' is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in Switzerland in terms of scenery, probably the most beautiful valley in the Valais together with the Lötschental. The holiday region of EvolÚne was awarded the title of best destination in western Switzerland in 2012. The alps above are managed from 20 June to mid-September, Alp Lovegno from the beginning of May to the end of October.
AUTUMN: From the beginning/middle of October, the larches turn gold - a colour show that is hardly believable in its intensity! The peak of the concentrated luminosity is from about 20 October to 10 November. Until 20./25. november the larches are still colourfull. Also in Nov. + Dec. often beautiful and clear days with then best view of the now snow-covered mountains all around, and very quiet.
In the chalet good LIBRARY and selection of Bluray films and CDs for bad weather (rare in Valais) and the evenings.
DAY OF ARRIVAL: Usually on Saturdays. If something is available at short notice, also on other days. But a booking request here via the system will only accept a Saturday arrival, in other cases please enquire via 'Ask the landlord'.
LAST-MINUTE-DISCOUNT: If the chalet is not booked 14 days before the usual start of the rental period (=Saturday), there is a 30% discount, for 7 days in advance there is a 40% discount. This last-minute discount is already included in the prices shown. If necessary, you can make an individual price request via the system.
SHORT TERM RENT, not shown by the system: If the chalet is not booked 6 days before the usual rental start date, a short term rental of at least 3 days is possible. The price is then the number of days multiplied by 1/7 of the usual weekly rent. However, a combination of LastMinute and short-term rental is not possible.
COMPLETE PRICE with FINAL CLEANING: the price quoted is always a complete price including e.g. heating, electricity, towels, bed linen and also the final cleaning. The final cleaning is included in the indicated price with 130 âŹ, it is independent of the rental period. The costs of the final cleaning are somewhat lower than the costs incurred by the tenants themselves and are therefore not discountable. The visitor's tax is also included.

ACCESS: Public road up to the chalet, which is reliably cleared even in winter. Four-wheel drive/4x4 not necessary, on 98% of winter days snow chains are not required.
The house has 2 parking spaces, one of which is covered, so no problem with snow in winter and heating up in summer.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT to Saint Martin every two hours from Sion. From there 20 min walk.
