We stayed for a month in Bob and Carol's home and enjoyed every minute of it. Bob was there to greet us and show us around and we instantly felt at home. On the first floor my teenage daughter had her own living room, bedroom and bathroom which she loved. On the second floor is the lounge, kitchen and dining area which are beautifully presented and overlook a field to the rear of the house, which gives you a very peaceful and private outlook. Our master bedroom was on the third floor together with a twin room and a bathroom, our bed was ultra comfy. The house is immaculate, the kitchen well stocked and the bed linens are beautiful. We bought some bird food from the local store and were amazed at the variety of birds we saw on the balcony. There were Red Cardinals, Jays, Woodpeckers just to name a few and we spent many hours watching the cheeky squirrels playing in the snow. Town is only a few minutes walk so even on the coldest days we managed to get out and about. we had lunch at Cilantro, Mulligans, The Works, Spiral Press and Al Ducci's and dinner at Gringo Jacks, The Reluctant Panther and The Silver Fork all were very good. We particularly enjoyed buying fresh fish from Earth and Sea, picking up a good bottle of wine from Manchester Beverages and going back to the house and cooking some great meals. Manchester is pretty central for travelling, we did day trips to Killington, Woodstock, Ludlow, Chester and Bennington and a couple of over night stays in Quebec City and Stowe, we really loved the whole area. We did many Trail Walks, our favourite was Lye Brook Falls and Prospect Rock, amazing views up there. Our daughter enjoyed shopping at the outlets, so much so, we had to buy another suitcase to get it all back home. We will always have great memories of our Christmas time in this lovely home. Thank you for having us Bob and Carol and we hope to see you again sometime soon.
