Oceanfront Cottage På gränsen Jorden, St Johns

RedHouseNL, 21 Castella Lane, är en vacker, mysig havet stuga uppe på klippor Pouch Cove Newfoundland, med utsikt över N Atlanten. På övervåningen erbjuder 2 sovrum (drottning bäddar) med otrolig havsutsikt, en liten sittgrupp för kaffe eller behandlingen inför och ett badrum med badkar / dusch. Nedervåningen är ett fullt utrustat kök, vardagsrum med braskamin, en "studie" med böcker och en fullstor futon som kan vika ut till en 5: e gäst, och en andra badrum utanför studien med ett stall dusch. Vardagsrummet är ljust, öppet och rymliga, som erbjuder en otrolig utsikt över havet. Vid sidan av vardagsrummet finns en matsal med stora rustika bord bra för måltider, spel och jag vågar säga arbete ?!
Huset har också en stor däck på baksidan, med 4 Adirondack stolar att njuta av landskapet och kanske få en skymt av valar och delfiner cruising genom. En sido däck utanför matsalen är utrustad med två fåtöljer för mer av samma!
Steg från East Coast Trail. Kort bilresa till lokala stränder. 25 minuters bilresa till centrala St Johns.

We Loved Red House!

Every aspect of our stay was wonderful—communication with Chris and Kelly, ocean views from the deck, bedrooms, living room and dining room, ease of check-in and check out, fully equipped kitchen, availability of washer and dryer. Kelly and Chris have anticipated every need of the traveler. Appreciated the visit from Kelly and learning more about the property, Pouch Cove, and Newfoundland. The views really deliver!

Had an excellent stay! Property was clean and well stocked. Easy drive to St Johns Airport and downtown. The views were unbeatable....we even saw a couple of whales in the cove one night! Definitely one of the best places we've stayed, hope to come back again when we aren't doing tours in town so we can just enjoy the views the whole time.

Lovely Place in Pouch Cove

This was a great place to stay on the Avalon Peninsula. The cottage was immaculate with a terrific ocean view. Beds were comfortable and everything worked. Close to St. John's, hiking trails and nature.

We enjoyed this perfect location for sitting on the edge of the rocks and watching and listening to the ocean .Lots of trails to hike and also being close to St Johns for a more busier day. The front deck was our favorite place, to relax and read and just sit.

Didn’t want to leave!

This stay exceeded my expectations! The home is clean, very comfortable and charming. The hosts have thought of everything. We felt at home right away. But the view and the location are so beautiful you can hardly leave the deck. We absolutely loved our time there and would return again in a heartbeat!

My family was visiting and enjoyed the relaxing and peaceful atmosphere of the red house. Communication was excellent and the welcome gift was very much appreciated. No matter if the weather is good or bad, the experience is always ohenomenal!

Comfortable, peaceful house overlooking the sea

This was our second stay at the Red House and as delightful as the first. The house is light and calming and generously equipped with everything you could possibly need. Proximity to St John’s and the Irish loop is a plus but the highlight is coming ‘home’ to enjoy sitting on the deck - with a book, a coffee, a glass of wine, binoculars to take in the birds and the whales. Thanks again to Kelly for her warm welcome - we hope to be back again.

Top 10 most beautiful place on earth

The Red House is a gift to your soul. The peacefulness envelopes you upon arrival. The views off of the back deck and surrounding community are breathtaking. The house itself has everything you could possibly need. It’s so comfortable and inviting. The hostess Kelly was so thoughtful and kin. I can’t say enough.

It was a spectacular view of the ocean. We managed to see many whales, and iceberg from far away. The property itself was very comfortable and very cozy. Kelly who welcomed us was amazing and easy to reach. Overall, we had a great vacation and looking forward to coming back.

Cozy house, great view, all the amenities

We enjoyed our stay at the red house. The views were fantastic (when the fog cleared), the house was cozy and well equipped, beds were super comfortable, the only thing we didn't have was lobster crackers! Pouch Cove is pretty much the last stop heading north on the Avalon Peninsula, so it's pretty quiet, exactly what we were looking for in a relaxing vacation. Thanks to Chris and Kelly for a great stay.

Amazing!

The cottage had everything we needed. The views are incredible. We saw whales from the back deck every day. Some mornings they were so close we could hear them breathing as they surfaced. The area is very quiet and relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning to Newfoundland.

The Red House has such a Breathtaking view and so Peaceful. Perfect place for home base.

Completely happy with The Red House. Everything was so clean, all our needs were thought out, such as blankets available to use while relaxing on the deck. The ocean view is beautiful. And picking blueberries while hiking the East Coast Trail, everything was perfect. We will be back!!

Red House Rocks

If you want an incredibly comfortable stay in some beautiful Newfoundland surroundings -- this is the place. Red House has everything you need for your stay and is located in a perfect spot. St. Johns and great places on the Avalon peninsula are all close by. But the best part is just sitting on the deck and looking out at the awesome view. Whales, seabirds, cliffs and awesome sunrises and sunsets. Just taking it all in from the deck. Fantastic place!

Icebergs, whales, eagle…Oh My!

Thank you Chris and Kelly. The Red House was perfect!! We enjoyed our evenings by the fire and watching the whales and icebergs from the deck. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen so we could spend several evenings cooking dinner and relaxing after beautiful hikes that we walked to from the house. Grateful for all of your recommendations and hospitality!!

Amazing views!!!!

Very comfortable house in a private location. Loved the porch with panoramic views. We saw whales every day. Icebergs went by. Well equipped house, well equipped kitchen, beds with luxury bedding made for excellent sleeping. Owner extremely quick and responsive to any issues. We loved our stay and only wish it had been longer.

This property is special and you will understand the minute you walk inside. The view of the ocean is mesmerizing! From the vastness of the water to the waves crashing on the cliffs, you will not be able to look away! The sunrises are spectacular along with the occasional whale sightings, many different birds and of course icebergs. Even at night, when it is totally dark, you can hear and feel the ocean. The fresh ocean air is wonderful!

The house is extremely cozy and comfortable inside. I like the winter season the best with the wood stove going and watching it snow outside. It's a great escape! During the summer, the back deck is the place to be. Four adirondack chairs facing the ocean keep you and your favourite beverage occupied for hours!
