Located in the beautiful medieval city of Lucca, Tuscany, the charming holiday apartment “La terrazza di Sofia” is ideal for travellers who wish to explore the local culture while enjoying a relaxing holiday. The property is in the heart of Lucca’s historic centre, within the old city walls and close to the Lucca Cathedral. The 80 mÂČ apartment consists of a living/dining room, a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and can accommodate up to 5 people. Additional amenities include Wi-Fi suitable for video calls, streaming services, a fan and a washing machine.



The apartment features a private outdoor area with an open terrace, furnished with a dining table, chairs and a sun umbrella. Numerous restaurants are within walking distance, especially in Piazza del Giglio; the owner recommends Antica Locanda dell’Angelo, Ristorante il Giglio and Gli Orti di Via Lisa. The nearest bar is 122 metres away, while the supermarket is 461 metres away. Lucca train station can be reached in 5 minutes on foot and the nearest airport is about 36 km away.



The apartment is in a restricted traffic zone, so you must leave your car outside the old city walls, where several parking options are available just a 5-minute walk away. Pets are not allowed. Air conditioning is not available. Wine tastings and cooking classes can be arranged on request. An extra baby cot can be provided on request, subject to availability and for an extra fee. Check-in outside regular hours can be arranged on request and for an additional charge.

Beautiful apartment is quiet part of town

Andrea and Alessia were wonderful hosts and provided us with a list of recommendations in town. The apartment is on a quiet street and was perfect for my husband and I. It was clean and had everything we needed. We absolutely loved Lucca and will be back!

Very nice apartment

The apartment is very nice and nicely located in the charming old town of Lucca. The check in was very welcoming with lots of tips for the stay. The entrance of the apartment is at the top of few charming but steep stairs. The roof top terrace is a big plus, with nice city views.

Love Lucca

The owners of the property were very nice and helpful. The apparent was charming with the roof terrace. The location was absolutely perfect. It was a lovely time in Lucca.

Pros: Took our 2, 14 year old granddaughters and they loved having their own level with separate bathroom. we all loved the roof top terrace with great views. The apartment was very well located in Lucca

Lovely house in a beautiful location

Pros: The view from the terrace and accessibility to train station to see top sites in Tuscany.Enjoyed walking around the walls, wandering the streets of Lucca, park run, antique and flower markets and going to the opera. And of course the delicious food. Cons: The beams were quite low and banged head several times. Could do with a handrail going up to the terrace.

Beautiful quaint apartment

Pros: Apartment is so close to the train station, only about a 6 minute walk so days out sightseeing and train transfers to and from airport were so easy. Bakery, restaurants and shops are all within a short walk. Roof terrace was a lovely feature. Cons: The sofa bed was very hard and we had to try and pad it out with blankets as it was uneven with ridges.

Charming apartment in fabulous location

We loved our stay in this charming apartment! It was perfect for our family of 4. The kids loved their upper level rooms. The apartment is located on a quiet street. We enjoyed evenings on the terrace, watching the birds on the rooftops. It was perfectly located, less than 10 minutes from the train station and an even shorter walk to the center of the walled city. We loved it!

Beautiful Apt in lucca

Loved Lucca and loved the apartment, but the five flights up was a killer. NOT for the faint of heart. This should be clearly disclosed in the description of the apartment. With that said it was lovely and spacious. the rooftop patio had an amazing view which we loved.

Lucca - Perfect Apartment!

We stayed in Andrea & Alessia’s beautiful apartment for 3 nights in October; it was very comfortable, great beds, hot showers. The coffee machine is amazing and very high quality. Steps from the walls to walk 4km around and 15 min walk from train station. About 2 min walk to nearest cafe, 5 min walk to nearest restaurant. Has a lovely rooftop terrace we had wine and charcuterie every evening. Perfectly located. ** be aware there are ~ 3x15 steps up to the apartment; was doable with luggage even tho I’m out of shape, but a consideration if you have mobility issues. Wonderful stay and look forward to staying on my next trip to Lucca!
