This is a very interesting and welcoming place to stay. The host was helpful and easy to communicate with. The location is close to amenities but in a quiet restful setting. We would definitely stay here again.

We originally booked this property because we thought it would be quite close to the airport. In reality, it was a little further out than we expected and there weren’t really any shops or restaurants within easy walking distance, so having a car or using Uber is definitely helpful.The property itself had a very relaxed atmosphere and seemed to cater predominantly to Chinese guests, which gave it a different feel from a typical hotel or holiday rental.Charles was absolutely lovely and was definitely a highlight of our stay. He was welcoming, friendly and very helpful, and went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our time there. His hospitality was very much appreciated.Overall, we had an enjoyable and relaxing stay. Just be aware of the location and distance from shops and the airport when Booking

Incredible home, wonderful hosts. Was a great staycay and unique experience. Loved the decor and the sauna-pool combo. Wasn't listed as a shared stay but was large enough that we could still enjoy privacy in our own wing of the home while the host family was in the opposite side of house. Look forward to coming back for another visit!

Our host, Charles, was very responsive, generous, and helpful. Our room was spacious, luxurious and clean. One suggestion I would offer would be nicer towels and updated bedding/pillows.We enjoyed our stay and the host was particularly wonderful! Thank you!

Not at all as advertised. Host was off-putting at initial meet on his property. asking us why we were there. He assumed we were there to purchase some of the thousand of tiny trinkets within the home. The lobby is setup as a church with a stage at one end and a large wooden cross. The room offered was not welcoming; with flat pillows that didn't look washed. The noise from adjacent rooms was not acceptable and the house didn't feel comfortable or welcoming at all. Communication with the host was not received after expressing our grave concerns. We would not recommend this property. It was very creepy.

This is a bona-fide mansion with a real fancy, old world vibe inside! Recently opened, so the grounds are a work in progress, but the interior is really something, with ornate decorations and furniture. The suites are lavish. We had a king sized canopy bed, double sink bathroom with jacuzzi tub, shower and private balcony. There is an indoor heated pool, sauna, workout room and shower. Our host was very welcoming and gracious, giving us a tour of the place once we settled in and offering to take pictures of us when leaving. We had a really nice time here. I can't wait to see how it turns out as they keep making improvements. It's quite the property. We I hope to come back again.

What a fun and unique property!We loved the decor and the overall vibe of the place. The room felt very secluded and we only bumped into other guests during checkout, but otherwise felt like we had the place to ourselves the two nights we stayed there. Especially for the price, this was such a great value for the location and experience.A couple of things that were not-so-great:The room was moderately clean, but had some impressive cobwebs in both the bedroom and the bathroom.The kitchen was large, but was mostly used as extra storage for more dinnerware and china sets. We initially couldn't find anything to actually cook with (just making some scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast), but we bumped into the host who also lives there and he provided a multi-purpose cooking appliance that we were able to use and worked fine for our purposes.The check-in process could be more streamlined as there's a door code that is needed in addition to the gate code. The check-in email only provided the gate code, and as we arrived late the first night, it took a minute to get ahold of Charles to get the door code to get in.The onsite host/manager Charles was very friendly and accommodating. He gave great recommendations for things to do around Vancouver and was very responsive to both texts and in-app messages.Overall I would highly recommend staying here.

Charles is a nice host and very accommodating. Unfortunately he was unaware of the state of our room. It was a surprise that the blinds were broken and that the shower leaked (and there wasn't a bath mat). The bathroom sinks weren't clean, they were just clear of visible debris. The room was overly warm and we had only a thick comforter to cover with. When asked, they did fix the blinds and bring us a bath mat. I was tired of asking for help so I didn't bother asking for a thin sheet. The day we arrived, a rap group was making a video on location. They were actually quiet and did leave that night but it was a surprise. Definitely count on seeing multiple people in the home, each day. Also the kitchen is available for cooking so expect cooking smells (we were in the room above the kitchen and cooking smells woke us up at 10pm).On our last day the front door access code was changed and we weren't told. Luckily we reached the other owner by phone and he gave us the new code.The location is nice; close to the airport and near the Richmond Wharf, which is really relaxed and has nice restaurants. It was an interesting experience and one I wouldn't repeat. If you don't mind being in a mini-hotel and if you want access to a kitchen it's a good place.

The property is very unique and eclectic and looks just like the pictures. There are several different bedrooms that you could be staying in so confirm before booking. We came here for the experience of staying in a mansion for comparably the same price as other shared homes on VRBO and it delivered. Conveniently located and there is a pool, sauna, exercise room, and kitchen for your use. One area that could use improvement is the bed was extremely firm and the pillows very flat. The host Charles is extremely pleasant and recently started hosting rooms on VRBO so we'll be excited to see how this place evolves over time.
