If you can't choose between beach and countryside, Casa de Santo António is the ideal place for you. Perfect for a weekend or a vacation with family and friends, it was recently renovated and is very well equipped to comfortably receive large groups, including babies and children.
Less than 200m from the beach and close to Caminha, Cerveira and Viana do Castelo, it is the perfect place to visit the most charming villages of Minho and spend unforgettable days at any time of the year.
The space
When we look at the Casa de Santo António, we immediately realize what an excellent example it is of the architectural current of the 1950s, which became known as the "Oporto School". It was designed by the architect Magalhães Carneiro. The façade denounces it by its construction, reminding us of a junction of cubes and parallelepipeds, by the characteristic corner windows, by the large and original terrace on the upper floor, by the contrasts between the wood and the white of the masonry, and by the harmonious way in which it is integrated into the surrounding landscape.
Not defrauding its exterior, the house is distinguished by the amplitude, luminosity, and functionality of its spaces. It is divided in two floors:
On the first floor it has a large common room, with an inviting fireplace, access and views to the garden; a kitchen, also with views and access to the garden, which was recently modernized, being very well equipped at the level of utensils and appliances (large and small); a bedroom with bathroom, where it has a bunk bed; another bedroom with a single bed; and the garage.
On the upper floor there is a large suite with a double bed and a balcony; a double bedroom, also quite large and with a balcony; a bedroom with a double bed; and a complete bathroom, supporting the two bedrooms.
All the rooms have electric heaters.
