Vårt "Herrukot" semesterhus, som byggdes 2015, ligger i ett fantastiskt avskilt läge precis vid sjön. Sedan sommaren 2018 har ytterligare två fritidshus varit tillgängliga för din semester på vårt öppna landskap, besök även "Semesterhus vid floden" Herrulæk ", fastighetsnummer 2751103.
I Herrukot finns två separata sovrum, vardera med två mycket bekväma sängar på 90 × 200 cm, badrum med duschkabin, golvvärme i hela huset, vardagsrum / matsal med dubbel bäddsoffa och fullt utrustat kök inkl. Diskmaskin, keramikhäll (4 plattor) och ugn utgör grunden för en avkopplande semester på 66 m2. WiFi finns gratis, sänglinne, handdukar och kökshanddukar tillhandahålls också. Glasyren på kakan är den 60m2 träterrassen med sin egen hotpot och fantastisk utsikt över sjön, bergen och Hekla-vulkanen.

Huset är mycket välisolerat och på grund av det perfekta läget i södra Island är en vistelse på vintern också mycket lämplig, norrsken är en mycket speciell upplevelse på grund av det avskilda läget utan ljus från andra hus i området.

Det är bara cirka 400 hundra meter till vårt bondhus, du är välkommen att åka ut på vår gård. Vi hjälper dig med alla frågor om din semester och med tips för semesterplanering!

Fantastic!

We had a great stay here! The owner made everything super easy and self-explanatory. We found it to be exactly what we were hoping it would be - easy, comfortable, and perfect for day trips. We also enjoyed the hot tub on the deck and seeing the horses as we drove by each day.

Perfect family getaway.

Quiet, centrally located cabin. Perfect for day trips to south Iceland, including Golden Circle. Cabin was very neat, ckean, tidy. Hostess (plus dogs & horses) is very friendlyand would stay again in a heartbeat! Takk fyrir.

Absolutely Fantastic !!!

We just stayed at Renate's cottage March 2025. This is a phenomenal cottage: Modern yet cozy, very clean, with large deck with hot tub overlooking the lake. Its private/quiet yet only about 20 mln out of nearest towns (supermarket, bakery, fuel, restaurants, liquor store) Great location if you have a car, within an 1 1/2 hours you can visit spots along Golden Circle, Pingtheviller National Park, Laugarvatn or Hvammik Spa. Hella Caves is 20 min away. Host was very friendly, responsive and helpful. Great stay ! Looking forward to returning !

Best stay we’ve have in Iceland

This was our third time visiting the island and we could not have had a better stay. The house was exactly what we were looking for, and the hosts were fantastic. The communication was excellent and they were kind enough to message us on an amazing display of the northern lights to make sure we didn’t miss it. I cannot wait to make sure my friends book this location on their trips and we will definitely be back!

Absolutely amazing home with beautiful views!

From booking, Renate was very responsive and helpful even flexible with our check-in/out times. The house was a perfect getaway and a great location between Reykjavik and Vik. Weekend away

House was very clean and had everything we could ask for. Location was remote but gorgeous. We had amazing views of th northern lights 2 of the 3 nights we stayed. Was a good midway point for all of the things we wanted to see. Would love to stay again.

Just “wow!”

Choose this place for a great view over a lovely lake, a large deck with a spacious hot tub feed by natural hot water, very clean and thoughtfully built and supplied house, quiet surroundings and the best horse riding experience around! We LOVED our stay here. Renata and her family are so friendly.

Great Location - super relaxing - everything you need

Stayed here with two kids and two adults - fantastic location, very peaceful and quiet. Located about 5 km off of the main highway 1, it was a great central place to take in some of the Golden Circle sights and also going down to Vik and the Black Sand Beach. Rejkavik was also within reach if we desired, but we had a separate stay in Rejkavik. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful cabin on the lake

Location - we loved being so close to the horse farm. Renate was very kind and welcoming and gave us a tour of the farm. We will be sure to return in the summer to go for a ride as well. The location was also great for the golden circle and the secret lagoon.Cabin - it was very well insulated and cozy, even in December. Everything was very well constructed (doors, windows, latches) and we had everything that we needed for delicious dinners in (we bought groceries from Bonus and Kronan). The beds were comfortable too. Hot pot - this was amazing! It was hot and very cozy. We enjoyed ending our days in the hot pot every night of our stay. Most nights were cloudy but one night, it was clear and we had a great view of the big dipper :)Thank you for a wonderful stay :)

Loved It

Our German/Icelandic family has lived on the Herridarholi farm, some 400 m from the holiday home by the lake. We run a guesthouse there during the summer, and offer riding tours. Our agricultural operation runs year-round, with sheep, horses, and dairy cows.

Varför värden valde detta boende

Since Iceland is worth a visit even outside of the summer, we decided to offer vacations year-round as well. That's why we built a holiday home on the prettiest part of our 400-hectare farm, and so our Herrukot holiday home was born.

The isolated lakeside location allows for a relaxing vacation, especially when combined with the central location and the good access road. The house is so spacious and comfortable that even spending a day indoors when the weather isn't good is a fine holiday experience. The hot tub during a snowstorm or under the northern lights is an unforgettable experience!
