VÄrt "Herrukot" semesterhus, som byggdes 2015, ligger i ett fantastiskt avskilt lÀge precis vid sjön. Sedan sommaren 2018 har ytterligare tvÄ fritidshus varit tillgÀngliga för din semester pÄ vÄrt öppna landskap, besök Àven "Semesterhus vid floden" HerrulÊk ", fastighetsnummer 2751103.
I Herrukot finns tvĂ„ separata sovrum, vardera med tvĂ„ mycket bekvĂ€ma sĂ€ngar pĂ„ 90 × 200 cm, badrum med duschkabin, golvvĂ€rme i hela huset, vardagsrum / matsal med dubbel bĂ€ddsoffa och fullt utrustat kök inkl. Diskmaskin, keramikhĂ€ll (4 plattor) och ugn utgör grunden för en avkopplande semester pĂ„ 66 m2. WiFi finns gratis, sĂ€nglinne, handdukar och kökshanddukar tillhandahĂ„lls ocksĂ„. Glasyren pĂ„ kakan Ă€r den 60m2 trĂ€terrassen med sin egen hotpot och fantastisk utsikt över sjön, bergen och Hekla-vulkanen.

We had a wonderful stay at the lakehouse. It is pretty isolated, but the farm is close enough if you need anything. We loved being able to relax and the peace and calm of the location. The hot tub was wonderful and clean; we used it every morning and every night. The beds were also very comfortable. My husband fell in love with the heated floors, pretty sure he wanted to sleep on them instead of the bed. You will need to rent a car to stay here, but it's in a great location to take day trips to waterfalls, volcanoes, and ReykjavĂ­k.

This house was perfect for our needs during our stay. The house was clean and well cared for. Even though it was October, we loved the deck to be able to view the Northern Lights or sit in the hot tub. The collection of windows in the living room area offers a great view of lake and lots of natural light. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. Everything was easy to use in the house and the directions left by the host helped with any technical things. The host was also kind to let us see some of their horses before we left. We would absolutely stay here again.

Fantastic!

We had a great stay here! The owner made everything super easy and self-explanatory. We found it to be exactly what we were hoping it would be - easy, comfortable, and perfect for day trips. We also enjoyed the hot tub on the deck and seeing the horses as we drove by each day.

Best stay we’ve have in Iceland

This was our third time visiting the island and we could not have had a better stay. The house was exactly what we were looking for, and the hosts were fantastic. The communication was excellent and they were kind enough to message us on an amazing display of the northern lights to make sure we didn’t miss it. I cannot wait to make sure my friends book this location on their trips and we will definitely be back!

Weekend away

House was very clean and had everything we could ask for. Location was remote but gorgeous. We had amazing views of th northern lights 2 of the 3 nights we stayed. Was a good midway point for all of the things we wanted to see. Would love to stay again.

Absolutely Fantastic !!!

We just stayed at Renate's cottage March 2025. This is a phenomenal cottage: Modern yet cozy, very clean, with large deck with hot tub overlooking the lake. Its private/quiet yet only about 20 mln out of nearest towns (supermarket, bakery, fuel, restaurants, liquor store) Great location if you have a car, within an 1 1/2 hours you can visit spots along Golden Circle, Pingtheviller National Park, Laugarvatn or Hvammik Spa. Hella Caves is 20 min away. Host was very friendly, responsive and helpful. Great stay ! Looking forward to returning !

Great vacation

Absolutely amazing home with beautiful views!

From booking, Renate was very responsive and helpful even flexible with our check-in/out times. The house was a perfect getaway and a great location between Reykjavik and Vik. Great Location - super relaxing - everything you need

Stayed here with two kids and two adults - fantastic location, very peaceful and quiet. Located about 5 km off of the main highway 1, it was a great central place to take in some of the Golden Circle sights and also going down to Vik and the Black Sand Beach. Rejkavik was also within reach if we desired, but we had a separate stay in Rejkavik. Would definitely stay here again.

Our German/Icelandic family has lived on the Herridarholi farm, some 400 m from the holiday home by the lake. We run a guesthouse there during the summer, and offer riding tours. Our agricultural operation runs year-round, with sheep, horses, and dairy cows.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

Since Iceland is worth a visit even outside of the summer, we decided to offer vacations year-round as well. That's why we built a holiday home on the prettiest part of our 400-hectare farm, and so our Herrukot holiday home was born.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The isolated lakeside location allows for a relaxing vacation, especially when combined with the central location and the good access road. The house is so spacious and comfortable that even spending a day indoors when the weather isn't good is a fine holiday experience. The hot tub during a snowstorm or under the northern lights is an unforgettable experience!
