VÅRA MAUI STRANDHUS ... (Läs våra gästkommentarer för att se hur bra den här platsen är!) Detta är den perfekta platsen för en familjesemester och reträtt !! Och det är precis vid stranden!

PLATS: Rätt på en sandig Kihei-strand, fyra mil norr om Wailea. Gå bara några steg från vardagsrummet och däck till gräsmattan och sandstranden. Njut av långa promenader på vår sandstrand. Spektakulär havsutsikt och solnedgångar från vardagsrummet, däck och sovrum - utsikt över Lanai, Kahoolawe, Molokini och West Maui. Kajak framför huset för att se sköldpaddorna!

BESKRIVNING: En stor (1 250 kvadratmeter !!) två sovrum, tre bad anpassade redwood radhus som vi byggde 1977 som en familj reträtt - med ett fullt utrustat kök och tvättstuga. Detta är ett bekvämt strandhus och vi har gjort ombyggnad, renovering och uppdatering nyligen. Det stora sovrummet har en king size-säng, det andra sovrummet har två enkelsängar och en queen size-säng. Duplexen är på tre separata nivåer, alla med eget badrum. Det angränsande radhuset är den enda andra enheten på fastigheten och finns också att hyra för större grupper.

STRAND: En sandstrand med lugna, revskyddade vatten. Vardagsrummet och sovrummet har spektakulär utsikt över stranden, havet, valar, West Maui och solnedgångar.

GOLF: Elleair Maui Golf Club ligger tre kvarter bort, Waileas berömda golfbanor ligger fyra miles bort, och alla Mauis andra banor ligger inom bekvämt köravstånd.

TENNIS: Offentliga domstolar är några kvarter bort i båda riktningarna, fler är i närheten.

SNORKELING, SURFING, PADDLE SURFING och WINDSURFING: Bortom revet precis framför huset och vid någon av flera stränder i närheten. Maui Dive Shop är ett block. Rig upp på den främre gräsmattan och segla direkt från stranden.

SWEMPOL: Kihei Aquatic Center ligger två kvarter bort.

SHOPPING: Ett kvarter bort: restauranger, livsmedelsbutik, postkontor, banker, bageri, etc.

RENGÖRING: Enheten är professionellt rengjord och förberedd innan ankomst.

We loved our time at this home in Maui! The home is exactly as shown online and very clean. Both the owners and property manager were fantastic to work with. Both were very responsive and helpful! The owner was in communication with us leading up to our trip with lots of great suggestions for local activities and restaurants which was greatly appreciated! We are already looking forward to our next trip to Hawaii and would love to stay here again!

Beachfront property on Maui

Beautiful beachfront experience with amazing sunset views and very walkable. Stores and restaurants within walking distance. It was perfect for our family of five! Doug and Marti were great hosts. Mahalo! We will be back!

Heaven on Earth

Our experience at this house and with Doug and Marti was top notch right from the beginning. The communication with the house was fantastic all the way through, and the house was even better than we expected. It is everything described and even more! If we ever come back to Maui, we would arrange our trip around the availability of this property. I truly can’t explain how wonderful of a time we had here. It is the perfect place to stay at Maui.

Great location and property!

Doug was extremely communicative throughout the entire experience. The location of the unit is right on a quiet beach in Kihei and only minutes away from restaurants and restaurants, while still tucked away and private. Would recommend this property for anyone looking for a nice peaceful stay in Maui!

Piece of Paradise

We loved our stay here - the home is cozy and the views are amazing. We enjoyed paddleboarding with turtles and seeing them not only on the beach and in the water but from the house as well. The owner and property manager were great and responsive, the home is older, but very well kept and clean. Absolutely would stay here again! No AC, but open windows and fans cooled the place down nicely, especially at night. Would highly recommend!

Amazing property

We loved our stay! Beds were comfortable, house was exactly as described, communication with the manager was excellent! The beach is right over the the grass hill and the sand was so soft! Easy entry to the water if you want to swim or rent paddle boards. We had a great stay!

Gorgeous spot

Beautiful spot, lovely sunsets and stars, shopping and swimming facilities near by, great communications by owner. It's a small rustic place in a lovely place. Property itself was a three star experience in a 5 star location - also note that the garden you see in the photos is open to the public.

Third stay at this property and does not disappoint! Access to beach right out front! Turtles, whale watching, swimming, paddleboarding right from the shore. Easy walking to grocery store and restaurant's. Already booking next year!

Our view from the home was incredible. Each morning we were greeted with a slight breeze and blue skies. We toasted each evening's sunset with champagne and enjoyed the ocean view from the patio.

Amazing spot!

We are so happy staying at Doug's house in Kihei... The location is great, the house itself is comfortable, and communication with Doug and Marti (the property manager) was excellent. I 100% recommend staying here! Waking up every morning to the sound of the ocean and seeing the palm trees swaying in the wind was a true dream come true.

Perfect piece of Paradise

Beautiful home on a beach that felt very private. Watched sea turtles and sunsets on the beach right in front of the house. Had everything that we needed at the house, including beach chairs. Was a couple block walk to the grocery store and restaurants. Perfect house in the perfect location! The host was very quick to respond to any questions that we had. Would definitely stay again!

This property delivered on all of the promises of the listing. The location offered great privacy, sunsets, and access to food and shops within walking distance. It was well equipped with everything we needed in the kitchen and for the beach. Nice architecture and construction. Great communication from the host. I highly recommend it!

Spectacular Sunsets!!!!

If you are looking for places to stay in Kihei, Maui look no further!!! This townhouse is truly amazing. It has a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, beautiful lanai, rolling lawn right to the beach which you feel is your own. I can't say enough good things about this property, except we didnt want to leave. Also there is a supermarket literally a 3min walk, plus lots of restaurants. Thank you again Doug for sharing your beautiful home with us.

What a dream!! Loved everything about this home. The home itself has that 70s vintage Hawaiian vibe (that I absolutely love), the breeze throughout was wonderful, the sunrise and sunsets from the deck incredible. could not be better

Everything is even nicer then in the pictures. beach is ok for small kids, waves don't get to high and its not very deep Sea turtles at night are awesome! grocery/liquor store just a block away house was very clean and spacious the lawn by the back deck was perfect for kids to play ball (we actually played Coconut catch) island just like every other tropical island has homeless people, but they didn't bother us at all! Magical

I highly recommend this VRBO!! It is absolutely magical!! We absolutely loved our stay! The home is exactly as described in the listing. When you're on the property, it feels like you're in a cabin on a private beach. It's so quiet and comfortable that even an extreme type A like me couldn't help but relax. The beach is at the end of the backyard and while the beach is public, it is not crowded. We were able to set up the chairs and umbrella available at the house everyday with lots of room around us. We cooked dinner at the home several evenings, ate on the back deck and watched the sunset. We watched whales and turtles from the deck and beach every day and night. Besides being right on the beach, the location is perfect. Everything you could want is in Kihei, grocery stores, great restaurants, clothes and gift shops. Everything else is a short drive away.

The best week EVER! This location is 10 stars!

We were coming to Maui for our 20th wedding anniversary and plans changed with the fires and we were lucky enough to stumble across this rental. The Shermans home is breathtaking! The history of the home made it more magical for our celebration. Clean is an understatement. It had everything we could possibly need for everyday usage and the beach! We enjoyed our adventures out and coming home to this place was a bonus. There is absolutely no need for a/c so do not let that scare you away, you will be missing out. The inside the house is gorgeous and well the immediate beach access and those views from the house will be forever engrained in our souls. We were able to get in a little bit earlier and contact with the property manager and access was a piece of cake! Our stay was truly dreamy. I hope when we come back to visit Maui that we can get this place or hopefully get just as lucky. It was PERFECT and worth every single penny spent!

Hidden Gem

We are so glad we found this property. It was exactly what we were looking for to be centrally located for the activities we wanted to do during our stay and away from the dense tourist areas. The house was as advertised and well-appointed with the necessities: towels. toilet paper, dish soap, paper towels, bathroom soaps, etc. We only needed to buy some laundry detergent with our groceries. The location is peaceful. We rented SUPs for the week and went out for a paddle almost every morning. Paddling out past the reefs, you have calm waters and no risk of reef/rocks if falling. The house had 4 beach chairs and a beach umbrella for lazy beach days as well. The water in front of the house has some rocks and reefs with a small sandy area, however I recommend some cheap water shoes if you have sensitive feet and want to be in the water a lot. The land next to the property is a public access to the beach and you may have a few people walking from there in front of the house, but it is still much quieter than the resort beaches and it is really of no detriment to the privacy of the property. Maui has a growing homeless problem; however, this location wasn't a big issue as I believe local security helps manages this well. I'm certain if we had any issues, Doug or the property manager would have handled them immediately. Doug proactively reached out multiple times during the week to ensure we were having a great time. Highly recommend.

Great Stay

Had a great stay at Doug’s townhome! Doug was very responsive and proactive in his communication. Really appreciated the 70’s vibe and quick access to the beach. The house was well appointed with everything we needed. We were grateful for the beach chairs, towels and umbrella. Primary bedroom was so light and breezy and the bed was comfy. We stayed in late April and had absolutely no need for air conditioning. The layout of the home is a little quirky and there’s a few steps to the kitchen without a railing so anyone with mobility issues or with small children may have a bit of trouble. Also there are sand dunes and a rolling yard to navigate so that to could also be a challenge. As others have stated, there is a large empty lot with public access to the beach next door (separated by tall bushes) which did get a bit loud a few times with cars revving their engines, or loud music , but it really didn’t last that long. We expected random people walking through the lawn between the house and the beach because of the previous reviews , but it was definitely something we had to get used to. The beach was beautiful and serene. We could walk out into the ocean for at least 200-300 yards and water was only to our waist. Would definitely recommend some water shoes! We enjoyed snorkeling and swimming with the sea turtles! Kihei is a cute town, but we were a little disappointed in the walkability of it. Yes, there is a grocery store that you can walk to, but as far as walking to shops and restaurants, everything seemed to be in a strip mall. We honestly spent a lot of time up the coast in Lahaina when we wanted to eat out and shop. We would definitely recommend Doug’s home to families with older children or for any group of able bodied adults.
