The house was very nice although it needs a little TLC, however it was great for our family with four grandkids under 9 years. But the property! The view is priceless and the amenities are perfect with the pool, tennis courts and seating areas. We loved watching the tides ebb and flow and listening to the magic of the sea. Everyone had a wonderful time. Thank you, John.

Views from all rooms were amazing. The house had plenty of room for 3 families to enjoy comfortably. Spent many hours in the heated pool. John was very responsive for all inquiries. Addition of the AC was a trip saver!

We had a group of 10 people (6 adults and four kids/teens) and 11 Halcyon Way was the perfect place for us to spend a week in Maine! The house is right on the water with beach access when it's low tide. The views are amazing, with wide windows that allow you a view of the ocean from every room. We loved the outside sitting area down by the rocks as well. The kids enjoyed the pool (that's enclosed by a gate for safety), the tennis courts and especially the kayak and paddle boards. Us adults loved the deck and the fully stocked kitchen that had everything you would need.All rooms had AC and were cozy, with comfortable beds and pillows.All in all, this was a very special place for us to celebrate my dad's 80th birthday and we greatly appreciate all of John's help and communication before, during and after our stay.

Paradise in Kennebunkport

An amazing place for a perfect, relaxing vacation. We swam all day, played tennis, ate delicious seafood. It was truly an oasis!

Relaxing Weekend with Incredible Views!

My wife and I had an amazing weekend at your beautiful home! First things first - the view is OUTSTANDING! The home is welcoming with all the comforts and amenities you'd hope for. The heated pool, fire pit, and other fun activities were simply icing on the cake of the relaxing oasis. We will definitely be returning and can't wait for our next stay!

Perfect week on the Maine Coast with family

We have a very active family and this house with tennis/pickleball court, heated pool, kayak, bikes, swing set, games and puzzles was wonderful. Unbeatable views of the ocean from every room. Enjoyed the solo stove by the ocean almost every night. Host was very responsive when we had questions. Just perfect!

Beautiful Property

Our family spent a week here in August and enjoyed all the property had to offer - the views, tennis, firepit, pool, swingset, walks along the ocean... you name it! John was an incredible host and very responsive!

Hard to Top

This property significantly raised the experience bar for our annual trip to Kennebunkport. Perfection from sunrise to sunset. And then, the best stargazing I've witnessed in a very long time. Our family of 9 adults and 2 children treasured every minute.

“Cheers” 2022 Family Weekend

A surprise long weekend for my husband, my 4 children and their spouse’s. Absolutely breathtaking The house is beautiful, and I have to say there are no words to describe the view….. We had the best weekend, kayaking, paddle boarding, tennis, the weather was cool but we so enjoyed the heated pool Perfect time

Felt like home

We had a great time, utilized the kayak, heated pool, bikes, tennis courts and of course walks among the rocks and beach. Lots of room for everyone, enough room to spread out yet be together. We ate out at Arundel wharf restaurant in Kennybunkport and Pier 77 in Cape Porpoise, both casual dining with great service. Shopped at Bradbury Market and found everything we needed to cook in. John - your home is beautiful - thanks for your hospitality.

Great House- Idyllic Spot!

Wow! What a beautiful idyllic spot. We had a group of all ages and none of us wanted to leave. The information provided by the owner was so helpful and made our week easy and enjoyable. Owner was also available and responded quickly to our questions. The views are spectacular and we all felt restored after such a nice vacation where we swam, kayaked, played tennis, relaxed and cooked many memorable meals in the fabulous kitchen.

An Incredible Home and Amazing Experience

We rented John’s home for the most incredible 40th birthday weekend I could have ever shared with my family. Communication with him was perfect and the house was so amazing with the pool, tennis, kids play set and ocean back drop, that we could have just stayed there the whole time and enjoyed it. I have been blessed to travel to many luxury hotels over my life but this was a truly amazing experience bar none. Thank you again John!

The place is lovely and splendid views. Clean and well managed. The two bedrooms on first floor southside are great for kids but difficult for older adults. Attempted to reach owner when electricity went out on Wednesday and again on Friday as we left one day early due to Hurricane Lee. I could not reach him. Did enjoy the stay and the helpful guides for dining ect.

Hi Philip, glad you enjoyed your stay. I texted you back after you called on your cell phone about the power outage, which was due to a tree down in the area that caused a widespread outage. Perhaps you do not text? Power was restored in a couple of hours and obviously there was nothing I could do to fix the situation. I never received a second call about hurricane Lee. I texted you on my own about it but in the end the hurricane did not hit near us and caused no power outages or other hardship. Not sure why your call did not come through. Not sure what you mean about the bedrooms being difficult for adults. One of the five bedrooms has two twin beds, perhaps you’re referring to that as not being good for an adult couple? The other bedroom you refer to has a lovely king bed with its own TV but is down one flight of stairs from the main floor. Did you not like there being stairs? Sorry that was a problem but both bedrooms are accurately described in the listing. Cheers, John

Best Family Vacation Spot!

We spent a week at John's home with our family and cousins. 4 kids ages 3-9. This couldn't have been a more perfect location for our family. The house is beautiful - pictures don't do it justice. And the property seems unmatched in the area. You can watch the kids do all activities from the kitchen or back porch. There is direct access to the beach - no need to cross a road. I think you'd be hard pressed to find another house with this access. The rooms are spacious and cozy, and the upstairs master bath was just redone and is gorgeous - everyone took baths there! Kitchen is fully stocked with any utensil or pot you could possibly imagine. And everything was clean! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a family spot with young kids. We spent hours just playing in the yard and beach - on the swing set, hunting for crabs, games on the tennis court. And of course swimming. A+++

Coming from a large family myself it gives me great pleasure when extended families stay at the house and get a chance to spend time together whether playing games on the beach, swimming in the pool or ocean or just hanging out.
