Denna vackra sjö stuga var nybyggt 2000. Dess arkitektur och charm ligger i linje med det historiska East stranden av sjön Maxinkuckee och 100 år gamla stor sjö hus på fastigheten. Titta & delta i sjön aktiviteter, sol & bada från bryggan, grilla din middag eller besöka en av våra utmärkta kock ägda restauranger i vår pittoreska stad. Titta levande solnedgångar och stjärnfall natt över sjön från uteplatsen och njuta av en brasa på svala nätter. ". Varje sovrum har en drottning säng, loftet ser över det stora rummet har 2 enkelsängar och en futon. Det välvda taket stora rum har en Lakestone vedeldad spis. Börja morgonen med en paddel på förutsatt kajak. Besök den historiska Culver Academy på söndag eftermiddag för deras militärparad och berömda Svart häst trupp av president invigningar. Denna glaciär gjorda våren utfodras sjö stöder fiske, skidåkning, slangar och vattenskoter. Dockan har ledigt utrymme för en båt. Dess en underbar plats du inte kommer snart glömma! De historiska stuga delar egendom och piren, 13 pers (se lista 512.710) kan hyras även för stora grupper.

Super cute little place close to Culver Academy!Great outdoor space, views of sunsets, nice beach! Our host Janet was very easy to work with and quickly responded to any questions we had. Would definitely stay at this property again!

Lovely little cottage right on Lake Maxincuckee. Very clean and ample parking and the owner is a great host. There is a pier for boat parking. Will definitely stay again next year.

Wonderful property with thoughtful owners

Our stay at The Ball Guest Cottage was fantastic! The house was impeccably clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. Janet was very accommodating and provided excellent communication. We can’t wait to come back!

Location was perfect for being so close to Culver Academy for a hockey tournament. Lake looked wonderful. Would be a fun place to stay in warmer weather. Easy parking . Great communication with owner. Just wish we had more time to enjoy the house and lake. I would definitely return.

Janet was an excellent host with great communication start to finish. The home is VERY well stocked with all the necessities (salt, pepper, sugar, spices, coffee, filters, lots of dishes, pots and pans, dishwasher and plenty of linens and blankets). The 2 full bathrooms and extra single beds in the loft are a bonus. The beds were very comfortable and the entire home was very clean! All of this AND you are right on the water with a clear West view over Lake Max capturing the most beautiful sunsets! We visited in the shoulder season but can imagine how great it could be when the dock is in and you are able to kayak / swim out front!Close to everything Culver has to offer!! Great Lake Retreat

This property is perfect for a family visit to Culver. The kitchen is modern and easy to cook in, as all the little things you need are there. Very well equipped cottage. The large lawn in front with the swing and hammocks is enjoyable. The larger house on the property, which I toured, is like a fairytale. Beautiful rooms that could be in a magazine. Just the perfect quintessential lake cottage.

This little cottage is a real find! It has a modern kitchen and 2 nice (new-ish) bathrooms, while it maintains that darling "Culver cottage" feel. Everywhere you look are reminders that this little gem is the Ball family's treasured home, making it feel like you are truly their guest. Its special. We liked it so much that we are going to stay again next summer! The kitchen is small, but very well appointed. The dock is shared with the "Big House" guests, but really wasn't a problem because everyone came and went all day long. And Janet, your host, is so very accommodating. She bent over backwards to make our stay an enjoyable one - and it was!

Memories of Culver!

Wonderful time spent close to the lake, a pier and all the trimmings! This is a perfect spot for two couples and up to four children. The kitchen was well stocked as was the washing machine and dryer area. We were steps from the lakeAnd we couldn’t of had a better time. thank you

A gem at Culver by the lake

It was the easiest and most positive experience to rent this property! Once I selected the house and processed the paiement, Janet ( the owner) quickly responded to my message . I prefer talking via phone and Janet called me right away. The home is delightful in front of the lake. We made great memories!

Beautiful Lake Weekend

We had a lovely weekend stay at this lake house! The lake itself is perfect, and it was so wonderful to have direct access. We brought our 18' speedboat and used the dock and boat lift during our stay. Worked out great! The owner was very responsive and helpful. The house is great, a perfect cottage for two families to share. The kitchen is well appointed and everything was clean and homey. The yard is shared with those in the other house, which was generally fine. There isn't complete privacy, but we were not concerned about it. Overall the stay was wonderful and we will definitely be returning here in the future!!

Great stay at guest cottage

This is a lovely little cottage on the lake. Would be a wonderful place to rent if you had a boat. It is steps away from the water. The lake is sand and pebble bottom and was warm during our visit. Janet has two kayaks for guests to use-it is a fun way to see the beautiful homes on this lake. Janet is very amiable and great to work with. You can really tell she and her husband really love this family lake home. Culver is a very interesting little town and Culver Academy is quite impressive. It was a very nice week.

Lovely Family Cottage

Our family had a wonderful week at the Ball Family Guest Cottage. Accommodations were very comfortable and the sunsets so beautiful. The hammocks near the water allowed for peaceful reading and we enjoyed the bonfire for Smores. Thank you for sharing your lovely cottage with our family.

Perfect Lake House Vacation

The main house and guest cottage share one of the most beautiful lots on the lake - perfectly flat with huge, old trees and an amazing view of the sunset from either patio. Unbeatable for boating, swimming, back yard bbq, sunset watching and star gazing. Short drive to Academy for visiting families. Classic lake house architecture and charm, friendly and responsive owner, historic neighborhood. Perfect place to make family memories.

Our stay was exceptional in every way.

The cottage is beautiful and the setting on the lake is stunning. We were there for four days and everything was beyond our expectations. The two downstairs bedrooms with adjoining baths were perfect for two couples and the kids stayed in the loft above. It was only a few minutes from the Culver Academies and the perfect location for my 50th reunion there. The hostess was responsive and helpful and everything about the cottage and our stay was outstanding.

The property was first bought by our grandfather William C. Ball from Muncie, during WWII while my father William (Bill) Ball attended Culver Military Academy and my Aunt Lucina Ball Moxley mourned the lost of her first husband to the war. My siblings, Julie, Chip & John Ball and myself, Janet Ball Starkey, purchased the property in 2009 from our father who owned and maintained it for over 30 years. We all have a long history of wonderful memories growing up spending our summers at the lake.

My children along with my siblings children have also grown up with fond memories on the lake. I can honestly say all the cousins are more like brothers & sisters because of these lovely cottages that were provided for them during the Summers. It's been one of the most valuable times spent together with family I treasure dearly. I hope it would be so for your family & friends as well! By renting it out we hope to off set the costs to secure the cottages for the future generations of family

From the large lawn, you can walk straight out to the dock with no steps like many of the lake houses. Swimming is easy waste or chest deep at the end of the dock. Swing or nap in the lake side hammock & have a bonfire in the stone fire pit at night.
