Mountain Haven på floden!

Välkommen till vår vilsama reträtt på floden (Estes Park Vacation Business License # 6040). Wade, sitta på klipporna, eller fiska vild öring i Big Thompson River och känna dina bekymmer blekna bort. Ät lunch på en av tabellerna picknick som du beundrar bergen, grilla marshmallows i eldstaden, eller bara koppla av på den stora välskötta gräsmattan.

Du kan njuta av kaffe eller te på morgonen i matsalen som du tittar på djurlivet genom fem stora fönster. Eller titta på vilda djur från nästan någon av de andra 30 fönstren i detta mysiga hus - inklusive de fem fönstren omger Jacuzzi i master bad! Avsluta dagen med att koppla i en av de stora fåtöljer i solrummet - lyssnade till floden och övriga naturens ljud. Utsikt över de snöklädda berg och lukten av vintergröna träd kommer att stanna med dig långt efter att du lämnar.

Vårt hem är i ett utmärkt läge. Vi är i slutet av en lugn enhet med en stor privat gård som går ner till floden. Ingången till Rocky Mountain National Park ligger bara en mil bort där du kan njuta av de många spår, floder och underbara sevärdheter parken har att erbjuda. Shopping är också mindre än en mil bort med många pittoreska butiker, restauranger och fredlig promenader längs floden.

We loved this property and also its proximity to RMNP and Estes Park. We loves being able to walk on the river trail behind the house to Coffee on the Rocks. The sitting areas to relax by the river out back were fantastic and we saw elk multiple times both on our property or adjacent. The host was extremely responsive. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again!

We really enjoyed our time here. The furnishings were very attractive and comfortable. There are several outdoor seating areas where we could listen to the sounds of the river and watch the wildlife walking through the yard. The host was very gracious and helpful accommodating an issue with our arrival.

The house location was great, walking distance to town. Having the Big Thompson in your backyard was mesmerizing, we saw elk every day in the yard. Turkey visited each day as well and we had a black bear climb the tree while sitting at the fire pit one night. The house was well equipped for all your needs or wants. The owner was very responsive if we had questions. We would definitely stay here again!

Host communication, house, and location was spectacular. Clean house with all the amenities of your own home. Best experience on VRBO or those other sites I’ve ever had. Minutes from the National Park but the backyard had Elk everyday. Only bad thing were the Elk bulls were bugling in the backyard at 1 am and you couldn’t see them. I’ve been coming to Estes for 5 years and this was the best lodging experience I’ve had.

Location, location, location. Home has private access to river. Huge property. There was only 2 of us but home can handle much more. Delightful sun room when those after thunder showers hit. Plenty of outdoor seating. After leaving both my husband and I said it was one of our favorite rental properties. Just loved this place. Highly recommend.

This was a very lovely stay for us! Gail provided a ton of helpful information and it was smooth sailing checking in and getting situated. Very close to RMNP and downtown EP. Enjoyed the views in the backyard and the sound of the river and the wildlife (wild turkeys, squirrels, woodchuck, and lots of birds!) Would happily return for an another visit. :-)

The house was very clean, well stocked, and the materials used in the house were high quality. It felt much more like a home compared to many VRBOs we have stayed in that use cheap materials and finishes because it is a rental. The location is perfect for exploring the town of Estes Park and ideal for visiting all parts of RMNP. My son and I caught dozens of trout in the river right in the back yard. There was plenty of evidence that the elk herd visits the back yard frequently (wink wink), but we did not see any during our stay. That was OK because we saw countless elk in RMNP. We highly recommend this house.

WOW. The pictures don’t do this place justice. The backyard is AMAZING. We spent a lot of time there by the river. The furniture in the home is so comfortable. And the house is well stocked with everything you need. I have stayed at a lot of homes via Vrbo (and others that apparently you can’t name in a Vrbo review lol) the last 10 years and when you factor in location, the house itself, and the backyard, it’s the probably the best place I’ve ever stayed. I highly recommend!

This is a beautiful property near the Bear Lake entrance to the park. Conveniently located to access town and the park by car but also quiet enough to enjoy the wildlife and river. The house was immaculate and well stocked with kitchen supplies [not food], linens, pillows etc. There are two living areas, one in the center of the house and one that faces the large back yard and river [not visible from the house]. Great, friendly and thorough communication with the host was most helpful.Downstairs there are 2 bedrooms: a bunk bed with a double bed on the bottom and the Master bedroom [very soft bed] which has a good-sized shower and enormous jetted tub. There is no common area bathroom. Upstairs has two Queen bedrooms [one soft, one firm] with a small bathroom in the upstairs hallway [pedestal sink, shower/tub and toilet]. We played musical beds until everyone found one they liked. Kitchen table seats 6. There are full laundry facilities in the home. The remotes to the air-conditioner units have a panel that slides down the front to give you access to more controls. Didn't understand that until day 2. The shower in the Master requires that you pull the whole big knob out to turn on the water and push it in to shut it off. I wish the entrance to the property was lit more effectively. It was really hard to see when coming back at night. Absolutely would stay here again. Thanks for a great vacation spot for myself and 2 friends!

Jim and Gail Shroyer live in Eufaula, Oklahoma. They are the proud parents of four grown sons and 5 wonderful grandchildren. Both are emeritus faculty at Kansas State University. Jim was an extension wheat specialist and Gail was a science educator. Jim is a native Oklahoman and Gail is a native Californian, but both consider Estes Park 'home away from home'. They have been bringing their children and grandchildren to camp in Rocky Mountain National Park for over thirty years.

Jim and Gail bought Mountain Haven as their part time retirement home. They love the mountains, the rivers, the incredible wildlife, and the people of Estes Park!

Estes Park is a wonderful community with a multitude of activities. You can hike one of the hundreds of fabulous trails in Rocky Mountain Park, drive the Trail Ridge Road, watch animals, talk to friendly people, shop or eat in 'one of a kind' shops and restaurants, or walk along the river and enjoy the many water works in the center of town.
