Denna vackra fjÀllstuga ligger pÄ 1. 8 tunnland med fantastisk utsikt över Longs Peak, Twin Sisters, Old Man Mountain och Fall River. De ursprungliga grundarna av Elkhorn Lodge byggde huset 1934, dÀrav namnet Elkhorn Cottage. Det har skett mÄnga uppdateringar, men det hÀr huset har originaler som ger det den perfekta mysiga bergen. Det finns trÀgolv, stor sten spis och ett fullt lager "retro" stil kök. Sovrummen Àr stora och taken Àr höga. Huvudstugan Àr 2B / 2B och det finns en separat gÀstsvit som Àr 1B / 1B. Ett stort dÀck sitter över hela baksidan av huset som Àr perfekt för att koppla av och njuta av utsikten. Det Àr ungefÀr en halv mil promenad till centrala remsan via en trottoar i slutet av gatan och en kort 3. 8-mils körning till den mindre trÄnga Fall River RMNP-ingÄngen.

Det stora sovrummet har en king size-sÀng och franska dörrar som öppnar upp till det stora dÀck. Det andra sovrummet i huvudbyggnaden har en dubbelsÀng med 2 stora fönster. Sovrummet i gÀstsviten (Moose Room) har en queen size-sÀng, ett komplett badrum med badkar / dusch och ett litet privat dÀck. GÀstsviten har ett minikylskÄp och kaffebryggare. Alla sovrum har klÀdkammare.

Location, location, location

Minutes from the park entrance and downtown Estes. Clean and comfortable. So relaxing to sit on the deck in the morning, enjoying coffee, and in the evening, watching the elk. Highly recommended.

Charming Cabin in Estes Park

We loved our stay at the cabin. Unfortunately, we were only there a short time and didn't get to take advantage of the deck and fire pit. This is a classic cabin. It is very comfortable and a nice place to spend your time in Estes Park.

Adorable mountain home with amazing views inside/outside of home. Very comfortable and clean home to enjoy with a great ambience. We really enjoyed our stay and have wonderful memories of a relaxing time. The owner was very communicative and gets back to you without delay if you have questions. Will stay here again!

The location of this house is prefect for a visit to Estes Park. We were able to easily access all areas we planned to visit from this house. It is in a quiet neighborhood and was clean. Kim was responsive when I contacted her.

Quaint and cozy

Went for a Christmas vacation with family and was extremely pleased with outstanding service and amenities..the fireplace outside was comfortable and enjoyable..beds very comfortable and plenty of additional blankets. The entire family of six rates this five star ⭐

Nice house with great deck and views.

We went up here with friends (four of us in total). The place was just right, clean and comfortable and furnished perfectly for the house and location. The deck and views are fabulous. Beds were comfortable and everything was just right for us. I would definitely book again.

Elkhorn Treasure

The Elkhorn Cottage is a real treasure in Estes Park. We have stayed in vacation rentals all over the country and none have been as special as this one. The owner's attention to detail is what makes your visit so special. You will want for nothing when you stay in this cottage, she has thought of everything! It's an amazing rental!

Amazing!

I ran a bed and breakfast for many years so I am quite picky. This home was exceptionally clean! The linens and amenities were luxurious. The location was perfect. The views of the mountains and the sounds of the river made it so relaxing. I would recommend this place for sure. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful views

The moment we pulled up to the house we were "greeted" by an elk checking us out - that was a great start to our RMNP trip! We really enjoyed our stay at Elkhorn Cottage. The location was perfect - close to the park entrance and downtown Estes Park. The cottage was very homey and comfy. We definitely appreciated the cooler that was left for our use in the park! Communication with the host was great, and checkin/checkout was very easy. Definitely would stay again!

Family Time

The house was very clean and comfortable. There were 6 of us so we used the separated bedroom space as well as the house. Seating was a little tight at times for 6 but there were additional options for seating. It was a rainy weekend but we were able to enjoy time on the deck and the extra throw blankets came in handy. We didn’t see as many elk as we hoped on the property but there were lots in other places. Would definitely stay here again.

Clean property. Northwest bedroom mattress was broken down. Second bathroom/shower very small. Better instructions for TV use. Could not find any local channels. Kitchen very well equipped. Great location to downtown. Red notebook very useful. Add info on medical facility location. Driveway needs repair and better markings.

The amenities were fine. The kitchen was quaint but well equipped. We were there for a wedding and did not cook much. The W/D adjacent to the kitchen was a plus. The fireplace in the living room was a wonderful treat and helped warm the room on a snowy night. The house was extremely well maintained. Reading the history of the property in the red notebook is important and fascinating. It helps explain the property across the street, which is hopefully going to be renovated soon. I recommend checking the park entrance policy due to the federal shutdown. Timed entries are not necessary now and it was quite crowded on the weekend.

We have been to Estes Park many times and this is by far the most beautiful and accommodating home we have stayed in. It was a pleasure to work with Kim. She had everything well marked to make the stay comfortable and not have to worry about how things should be done. The location is amazing and it was easy to navigate where we wanted to go. We got to experience seeing a lot of wildlife right in the yard. We will definitely stay here again.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

I fell in love with this property the moment I stepped into the house. I knew right away this was THE HOUSE! This place has so many original and beautiful features yet plenty of updates. The house has been exceptionally maintained over the years! The rooms and closets are large and there are plenty of windows to see the beautiful views. It has an amazing deck to enjoy it all! The living room has an awesome stone fireplace and mantel. It just has that cozy mountain feel you expect to experience when you come to a mountain town. I love the retro style kitchen with the vintage Wedgewood Stove. I think the guest suite is a really cool feature to the property. I think it adds some versatility and privacy. I was also very intrigued by the history of the home and its ties to the Elkhorn Lodge across the street. The location is perfect (so close to town and the park) and the lot size is large. All the other homes within site are nice. The views are incredible...there's not many places that have mountain and river views! I don't know what else to say...it's just the perfect place! It's also one level living...there's no big steps to have to climb, which is great for my parents! It's hard to find one level living in Estes Park. Oh, and I can't forget to mention the wildlife. The elk and deer seem to always be nearby and they are so fun to watch! One final note, I bought the place in the winter and had no idea until summer rolled around that the front flower garden is spectacular. It takes a lot of weeding and watering, but the flowers have been amazing all summer! LOVE THIS PLACE!
