Vårt fyra säsong, 4 sovrum 2800 kvm ft hus är på en dubbel mycket, på en lugn icke-motoriserad sjö. Den har all den charm du vill ha i en stuga med alla bekvämligheter i hemmet. Hogg Lake ligger ca. 2 och en halv timme norr om Toronto, nära den berömda orten staden Huntsville, samt Arrowhead och Algonquin Parks.

Stugan med 2 våningar har totalrenoverats och kärleksfullt 2012 med 4 fulla sovrum (8 sovplatser), stort kök, vardagsrum och matsal och rekreationsrum med golv till tak vedeldad spis i vardagsrummet och en vedspis i det nedre nivå rec rum. Vardagsrummet har stora bildfönster med utsikt över sjön med höjande cederträtak. Det finns en speciell sittplats vid köket. Huset har ett gourmetkök och allt du kan önska dig för en underbar stuglov! Barn välkomna

Sovrummet är mycket stort med en queen size-säng, altandörr promenad ut till stort däck och sten trädgård, utsikt över sjön och en 32'tv. Andra sovrummet, bra storlek, king size-säng och utsikt över sjön. Tredje sovrum dubbelsäng och utsikt över sjön. Fjärde sovrum, dubbelsäng och stor garderob.

Tyst morgnar kan tillbringas på bryggan eller i det fullt avskärmade Muskoka-rummet med utsikt över soluppgången över sjön (stugan vetter mot sydöstra). Ta en paddla runt sjön (kanot eller två person paddla båt). Massor av kul för familjer eller par som letar efter lugn och ro. Sjön är vårmatad och perfekt för bad med en liten sandstrand för barn. Fantastiskt fiske på kajen.

Ligger 20 minuter norr om Huntsville och precis bredvid snö mobil / ATV trail, har området full utomhusaktiviteter året runt. Det finns gott om lokala attraktioner eller så kan du stanna i stugan för att koppla av. Sydöstra exponering får full sol hela dagen och vackra soluppgångar. Mycket stort dubbelt parti och professionellt utformade sten trädgårdar med precis rätt blandning av sol och skugga, fullt treed.

Great cottage vacation

Had a great time at the cottage with my family including two young children. Was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. We particularly enjoyed the dock, canoes/kayaks/paddle board and also the firepit.

Beautiful and relaxing cottage

Spent a week with my family. The cottage was very comfortable, clean, nicely decorated and had high quality appliances. The small lake was picturesque and peaceful and we enjoyed using the canoe, kayak and paddle board.

Just beautiful...

The cottage is just beautiful...to call it a cottage is an understatement. A well equipped, tastefully decorated home with all the amenities inside and out. From the gourmet kitchen to the spacious living spaces, comfy beds and beautiful setting on a small lake...we had a wonderful time! Communications with Luis were great from our first email and any tiny problems we had were addressed promptly. Thank you for sharing.

Perfect family getaway

This property was excelty what we were looking for. The lake was surprisingly clean, which made swimming more enjoyable. The lake was also perfect for canoing and kayaking. The house was nice and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked. The only downside for us was the noise in the downstairs bedrooms from people walking on the top floor. This property is definitely one we would consider returning to in the future.

Beautiful property on beautiful Hog Lake

Large comfy and well equipped cottage, great views, small spectacular Hog Lake at its feet. Owner was available at all times for questions and help. Great separation between main bedroom and lower level where guests have ample bedrooms. Will return!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The cottage met our every want and need. The lake was great for fishing (bass) and enjoying the provided water craft (canoe, kayaks, paddle board and paddle boat).

Hog Lake Retreat

Absolutely loved our week long stay at Luis and Laura’s cottage....If we could rate it more than 5 stars we would! The kitchen is equipped with high end appliances , even Starbucks coffee and a bottle of wine were left for us! The bathroom soaps are very high quality, we had to pay a visit to the local soap store in Huntsville to bring some home. Cottage is equipped with absolutely everything you would ever need! Really enjoyed Hog Lake and the area....did lots of kayaking and hiking....even in the rain. Wood stove was such a nice touch at the end of our days. And the cottage and grounds were spotlessly clean upon arrival. Cottage was very spacious, well laid out and comfortable. By the end of the week, it really did feel like home and we were sad to leave! Our interactions with Luis were top notch, he was attentive and answered all of our questions before we arrived! There was no need to contact the owners after our arrival as everything was perfect! Sure hope to return. Luis and Laura should be very proud of their home and we thank them for sharing it with us!

Memorable sojourn

It was a wonderful property right by Hog lake with a breathtaking vista right from the living room. To say that the kitchen is well-appointed is an understatement. Both my mother and mother-in-law were in awe by the kitchen and believe me, they know a thing or two about kitchen. The rest of the cottage is equally well equipped for entertainment, leisure and comfort. Our orginal plan was to explore the neighborhood during our 5-day stay but ended up not venturing out because there were much to do on the premises. And we could have easily just spent the time indoor relaxing and soaking up the scenery and serenity. All in all, a truly fantastic stay. We are already contemplating our next visit!

Fantastic

Everything was just fabulous! The house was spotless and had every convenience, especially in the the kitchen that you would ever need. Luis and Laura were wonderful to deal with! The lake is small but very quiet and peaceful. The pictures don’t do it justice. There is plenty of space for 6 adults to be together but also have some time alone if you want. Definitely recommend to all.

Wonderful home and location

We had a family wedding to attend in Kearney and wanted to enjoy a long weekend as a family. I cannot say enough about the graciousness of Luis and Laura. The home was beautiful and functional and so well outfitted. All we had to do was bring in food and luggage and we could relax. It is a lovely location on a lake, feels very private, is beautifully decorated and the hosts are a joy to work with. Highly recommend

An Earthly Paradise Near Huntsville

Another Fantastic Visit!

This is truly an amazing place to stay – 5/5 recommend! The cottage was extremely clean, spacious, very well maintained and included everything you could possibly need. Luis the owner was extremely helpful, and very responsive. This was our second time my family visited this beautiful cottage and would love to go back in the future. Overall, accommodations were perfect in every aspect.

Another great stay

The perfect retreat from the city. One couldn’t want for more.

Luis and Laura, What a privilege it was to spend the weekend here in this beautiful setting. We felt so welcome with the attention to detail and amenities that were so generously available. The six of us, expecting less than perfect weather all weekend, were able to celebrate the sun, the moon and the stars. I hope that all we left behind were the dulcet tones from the music and songs we shared together. The campfire, the food, the wine, the stories, the lake, the dock, the hiking, the hummingbirds, the screened porch, and the sound of the porch door closing behind us will provide us with memories of our time here. wonderful getaway

beautiful cottage and amazing view

What an amazing property! The cottage had everything we needed to be comfortable and more. The view of the lake was spectacular. It was a wonderful team development retreat for my staff and me. We were able to team build and connect in way not possible to do in the city. Thank you!

Luis and I are long-time cottagers in the area. We live in Toronto during the week where Laura is a librarian and Luis a film-maker. On weekends we head north to our cottage whenever possible and love the life style that it offers.

Varför värden valde detta boende

Our cottage is large with amazing light and living space, while being homey and comfortable. Laura loves to cook and was able to design her dream kitchen here. During cold weather, we have two fire options, one on each floor (wood stove and fireplace). In summer, we love the lake water, which is spring fed and so very clean for swimming; the quiet and privacy of only having 10 other residences on the lake; and the proximity to Huntsville for shopping, services, and entertainment, whenever we can pull ourselves away from the cottage.
