Det stora rummet har ocksÄ en skjutdörr av glas som ger vacker utsikt över sjön och tillgÄng till det stora dÀck. Utsikten Àr av outvecklade trÀdbevuxna berg och sjön.

Vi har central luft och vÀrme med takflÀktar i hela, satellit-TV, gratis WIFI internetuppkoppling och videobandspelare med massor av filmer. Det finns ett fullt möblerat kök och en utomhuskolgrill pÄ dÀck.

Smith Mountain Lake Àr ett bÄtlivs- och fiskarparadis. Det finns 500 mil strandlinje pÄ denna 40 mil lÄnga, 20 000 tunnland stora sjö. Om du har din egen bÄt, kan du starta den vid nÀrliggande bÄtlansering vid Mitchells Point Marina och docka den vid Cabin's dock. BÄtuthyrning och vÄglöpare finns pÄ flera sjöplatser. FrÄn vÄr plats Àr det cirka 1000 fot till sjöns huvudkanal. För fiskaren Àr vi belÀgna pÄ Witcher Creek dÀr stripers spawn. Sjön Àr fylld med bas, muskier, gÀdda och andra smÄviltfiskar.

Perfect Weekend!

We could not have asked for a better weekend. Leading up to our stay the communication was great. Everything was exactly how it was described. The cove that Cedar key is in is perfect for floating by the dock. parking was no problem at all even for both of our vehicles. We certainly are already talking about booking another trip.

The cabin was clean, spacious, and it had a fully equipped kitchen. The lake was one of the best lakes we have been on. The water was clear, and the people in that town were so friendly. We would definitely come back.

Graduation Getaway

First of all, communication with the property owners was fantastic. They provided needed information prior to arriving, an update while we were on our way, and checked in on use while we were there. The property had everything that was needed, was clean and everything we wanted it to be. The location is perfect for a calm quiet getaway on a beautiful lake. The owners also provided information on all there was to do in the area. For me, the hidden gem was the National D Day memorial. Great trip, we would definitely come back to this cabin.

Lakefront Cabin Getaway

My wife & I booked this cabin as a getaway from the city & it was incredible. The views were beautiful & the cabin was so cozy! We loved watching VHS tapes on the VCR as a throwback to our childhood. We would 100% stay here again. The owners were generous & great to work with.

This cabin has that cozy atmosphere that we were hoping for. The view from the living room window is just beautiful. We were there the week after Christmas, so there were not many other vacationers, but that is what we were looking for. If I had a complaint, it would be thatthete is no dishwasher, but that is not abig inconvenience for me. I'm pretty sure that we will be back next Christmas.

The property is beautifully maintained and the owners were so helpful and friendly. They reached out to us weeks prior to our stay to introduce themselves and talk to us about the property, special requests, and recommendations for the closest marina that rents fishing boats. This property has been taken care of very well

Exceptional Getaway!

Stayed here with three friends for a quiet bachelorette celebration. Could not have asked for me! Access to the grill made dinner easy and fun. There is a walkway straight down to the lake. The cabin itself was exceptionally neat, organized, and absolutely adorable. Communication with the hosts was stellar!! Could not have asked for a more relaxing getaway.

Great stay in a lovely cabin

We had a wonderful stay in this cabin. Very comfortable, clean, great views, quiet area, beautiful lake. Owners were very communicative and accommodating. We are sensitive to pet hair & other allergens, and this was a perfect place for us, including well-dusted. Very reasonable check-out duties. This was our first visit to Smith Mountain Lake and we loved it. We didn't rent a boat this time, but we'd like do that next time, and explore more of the lake. We would stay in this cabin again for sure -- it was beautifully out of the way of crowds, buildings, etc. Totally worth the 20ish min drive to most "stuff" in the area. We were there from a Mon-Fri, and we were surprised by how many area restaurants (and a boat tour place) were closed for most of the week, only opening on Thurs night or so. It must have to do with their flow of business, even in the middle of summer. We did eat at nearby Mitchell's landing and the food was OK, the view was nice, and the ice cream was great. We also went to the arcade and gift shop area in West Lake - that was fun. The highlight of our trip was going down to our cabin's dock every day, where our son fished off the edge. He had a blast catching and releasing lots of little fish. And on our last night, the clouds gave us a pretty good sunset -- you can't exactly see it from the cabin or dock, but you can see the sky changing, and we walked a little way around the bend, for an even better view of the sky. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Great Getaway for a Long Weekend

I booked a lake getaway for me and my wife in a very quiet cove at Smith Mountain Lake. From the time of booking through our check-out, the Owner/Host provided excellent communication and details. The cabin was perfect. The dock was exceptional. We brought fishing kayaks and had a great time in the no-wake cove. Good shopping and other amenities were close. Highly recommended.

I purchased the Cabin when I lived and worked in Roanoke. The kids spent many happy days here. I moved in 1992 and currently live in Colorado. The kids have also moved. Due to the distance we seldom get there anymore, although my son and grandsons are now vacationing there annually from their home in Idaho. We have chosen not to rent the cabin until recently when the realization set in that it will be seldom used by us in the future. I plan to keep the cabin and pass it on to my son and recently decided to start renting it. I think you will find it extremely comfortable as it has been furnished and maintained for our personal use. The Cabin is named Lake-Fest in honor of my daughter and her annual event that she held here while attending Virginia Tech.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

I bought this Cabin as a weekend retreat from work in nearby Roanoke. The peaceful location on the lake in the no wake zone with the beautiful undeveloped mountain views was ideal for re-energizing after each busy work week.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Isolated portion of lake near Smith Mountain Lake Park. You will not find a more secluded area of the lake (but readily accessible) with better uncluttered views. The Cabin feel is distinctly different from a house and provides a true vacation feeling.
