Våra rimliga priser, bekvämligheter på plats och nära avstånd till stranden gör denna lägenhet det perfekta valet för en aktiv, rolig semester. Belägen ovanför Maine äldsta surfa butik Hjul N Waves, är allt du kan behöva för stranden eller cykelleder rätt nere.
Det finns 2 sovrum, ett med en dubbelsäng och den andra med en dubbelsäng samt en futon som öppnar till en full size säng. Båda sovrummen har tv och luftkonditionering. Det finns en nyligen ombyggda badrum samt en extra halv bad.
Köket har en fullständig spis, full storlek kylskåp, mikrovågsugn, diskmaskin och mestadels allt du behöver för att laga middag inklusive en hummer pott.
Vardagsrummet har två små soffor, kabel-tv, dvd / vhs combo och en stor samling av klassiska surfa, skridsko och snowboard filmer. Hela lägenheten har wifi-tjänsten.

Relaxed and cozy stay

Relaxed place to stay while in Wells. Not fancy, but clean and what we needed for a couple of friends and a dog. Quick drive or bike to some nice beaches, caught a pre- 8 am beach walk with the pooch every morning. Owners were helpful and communicative.

4 days at the beach in Family

The place was very great! We walked every day to a beautiful beach. The apartment had a great size for a family of 4. The owners were very helpful and friendly. We really recommend this apartment and we hope to come back.

Great place to stay with your pup!

The apartment is cozy and the location is great. We stayed there for a week with our pup. Vince and Bob are very friendly and communicative. They also run a shop on the first floor where you can rent kayaks, bikes and surfboards. I definitely recommend it!

Great home base for coastal Maine

This upstairs apartment was a great home base for my family of four while we explored the southern Maine coast. We mostly just slept here, but found the accommodations exactly as described and the beds were quite comfortable. The owner was so helpful with some beach dilemmas we encountered, too. If you need a no-frills place to call home for your time in the Moody/Wells area, give this Wheels N Waves apt a look!

Great spot for the beach

Lots of room and very centrally located to restaurants in Wells and Ogunquit, along with easy access to beaches, grocery stores, and everything else on the seacoast. Really enjoyed our stay, the hosts are laid back but quick to respond to our questions. We will definitely stay here again!

We love the big yellow house - it's in the right location

We stay here two or three times a year. It's convenient to my in-laws and our two puppies love it. This year my sister joined us and she loved it too!

Perfect for a Couple Nights in Maine

Our family of 5 was looking for a spot to stay for a couple nights to break up a longer car trip to Canada. This apartment was just what we needed...a simple, clean place to rest our heads and not break the bank. Bob and Vic were responsive during the booking process. The location was perfect for our needs. We enjoyed the mini-golf and ice cream nearby and had just a short drive to Kittery to do the ropes course there. Lots of fun in a unique little spot!

Convenient and as advertised

My grandchildren and I stayed for 3 nights and were close to a lot of the things we wanted to do. I had been traveling with a 13' travel trailer, which Vince and Bob generously allowed me to park. Vince even helped me with charging the battery.

Great Place to Stay

Conveniently located right on Route 1, you can get anywhere quickly. The layout of the place is great, plenty of room for the three of us. Very clean, and everything is in good shape. Vince and Bob are awesome - so friendly, helpful, and kind people. They responded to any inquiry amazingly fast which was helpful, and were fun to talk with. Although you’re above a business, you don’t hear or notice it, even when they’re busy. Overall great experience, will be back.

Cozy campus vibe

We jumped from Oqunguit to Kinnebunkport on our stay and this was a nice in-between. Pups being allowed was a plus and the owners were very kind. Don't expect anything over the top; the place is old but has everything you need and is quite cozy! Beach front (albeit a private beach) is a 15-20 min walk and another 10 min up along the coast gets you to a gorgeous view without houses. Some pretty marshes along the way. fun walk with the pups. pup friendly beaches up along the coast as well.

Excellent

We enjoyed the friendly staff at Wheels and Waves and our stay in the apartment over the shop. We were lucky to have a noon family surfing lesson and we were all able to get up on our surfboards! (Ok I had 1.5 of my two feet on the board and I'm counting it!) I recommend renting bikes and riding down by all of the beach houses at Moody and Wells Beaches. You can also leave your bikes by all of the public entrances so you won't have to deal with parking. Other local spots we enjoyed were Congdon's donuts, Fisherman's Catch, Mike's Clam Shak and Jake's which also has Gifford's ice cream from Maine. Thank you Bob for making our stay memorable!

The property is very disappointing.

The pictures displayed on the internet are not a realistic representation of the property. The best I can say about it is that it was affordable, it served the purpose, it was clean, it had all the basic needs. Only one of the 3 t.v.'s work. The electrical is in dire needs to be updated, potential fire hazards exist. (there are extension wires stapled around doorways, the bathroom light switch is not at the bathroom entrance, The place is heated by portable electric heaters). The kitchen floor needs to be replaced. The 15 stairs to the entrance was less than ideal. The surf shop beneath the apartment is badly in need of repair as well as the driveway. The living room only had two love seats, that were very uncomfortable. (having a sofa would have been much more comfortable). The color of the outside of the building as well as inside the apartment looked like a bad dream, screaming yellow.(hardly soothing to the eye). This is my first time renting from VRBO and I certainly hope that this was the exception and not the rule. I would not recommend this apartment, nor would I have used it myself if I had had known its condition.

a bad experience

Arrival was easy and we had access to the property before check-in time, which accommodated us, very good first contact with Bob who welcome us. There was no washer or dryer as mentioned in the ad. There were dozens of large ants throughout the apartment and the sleep was difficult as the rooms are on the side of a busy road. We were prepared to accept this given the low cost of the rental. We had booked for 5 people despite the fact that there were 6 of us (2 adults and 4 children), since my youngest sleeps with my partner and me at night, as we always do in hotels or while using other hosting platforms. on the evening of our second night out of three, one of the owners aggressively called us out on his frustration. In his eyes, we had lied about the rental and : "was not happy about it". We never had a chance to explain and find a solution. He simply vented his rage on us and left. It was the second time that day, that his behavior was questionable, he made some comments about the fact that my kids where loud the evening before (after 6 hours of driving...) and that some customer at his shop complain about it... despite the fact that we didn't see a lot of customer on the rainy day. We didn't feel safe for the rest of the evening not knowing what he was capable of. We offered via the VRBO application to leave in exchange for a refund of our last night's stay, which he refused. We still left the next morning, as our own safety was the priority at that time.

Excellent

Host was very courteous and we enjoyed feeling at home in the place. Very comfortable and accommodations were great. Would highly recommend it and would love to come back again sometime in the future. Great location as it is close to amenities as well as ocean.

Great Jumping Off Point

This was our second time staying here, and we will definitely continue doing so in the future. It’s always very clean, and everything inside is in good shape. Bob and Vince are both super nice, and are helpful and responsive. The location is central and accessible to everything in the area, including biking distance to Moody and North Beach.

Wheels N Waves has been in business since 1974 and is Maine's oldest surf shop. In 2013 Wheels N Waves was named Maine's Best Surf Shop by Downeast Magazine.
In 2011 after many years of renting, we were able to purchase this great new location, which has a 2 bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor. In 2013 we opened our 2nd location in downtown Ogunquit and walking distance to Ogunquit Beach. The Ogunquit location is smaller, but still offers rentals and sales of most things we offer in Wells.
