Country Acres Retreat har 3 sovrum och 3 bad plus en extra sovplats och rymmer upp till 10-11 personer. OcksÄ tillgÀngligt inom nÄgra hundra fot, om det behövs, Àr en paviljong med picknickbord, stolar, gasgrillar och en lÀgereldcirkel med stora stenar för avkoppling, berÀttelse eller pÄminnelse.

Denna stuga har ett fullstÀndigt hickorykök med en matplats i baren och inkluderar ett elektriskt sortiment, mikrovÄgsugn, mixer, diskmaskin, massor av bestick, tallrikar, glas, köksredskap och mycket mer.

Det stora rummet har ett rustikt, inhemskt lövtrÀgolv av sockerlönn som fortfarande visar kranhÄlen som gjordes av "sockerprocessen" för Är sedan. Det stora rummet Àr möblerat med en soffa, kÀrleksstol, vilstol och ett stort, "antikt" bord i plankstil med en bÀnk och stolar med plats för tio till tolv personer.

Ett smakfullt inredda badrum och ett sovrum med en dubbelsÀng finns pÄ bottenvÄningen. Den ena slÄs av de rustikt vackra trÀgolv, tak och trim.

Loftet har en vacker utsikt över den tvÄ tunnland stora sjön och inkluderar en king size-sÀng och ytterligare sovplats för tvÄ enkelsÀngar pÄ rullar för de "yngre" gÀsterna.

BottenvĂ„ningen inkluderar ett sovrum med en fullstor sĂ€ng med en enkel rullande sĂ€ng under, en toalett och dusch för mĂ€n och damer och ett tvĂ€ttstuga med tvĂ€ttmaskin och torktumlare. Avrundning pĂ„ bottenvĂ„ningen Ă€r ett familjerum med en bĂ€ddsoffa med dubbelsĂ€ng, en barnsĂ€ng, en TV pĂ„ 60-kanals disknĂ€tverk samt lokala kanaler i Pittsburgh, DVD och en videobandspelare. En liten spjĂ€lsĂ€ng och en större spjĂ€lsĂ€ng finns ocksĂ„ vid behov. Återigen finns det en vacker utsikt över vattnet.

Wonderful, secluded area to get away from life’s distractions! The pond provided hours of family fun, swimming, paddle boating, kayaking and fishing. Nightly bonfires were an added plus. The cabin amenities were perfect to recharge from the days fun.

You cant stay in a more peaceful and relaxing environment..ive stayed 4 times and its by far one of my favorite places for friends and family get togethers or a peaceful retreat alone...and the host is one of the most attentive and down to earth,professional, considerate hosts on vrbo...they treat you like you are their neighbor...ill definitely be back this year

Beautiful and cozy

The owners are very friendly and excellent communicators! We came between snow storms and he offered travel advice, plowed the driveway, and checked in to see if we needed local for food suggestions. The cabin is fantastic and perfect for a small group setting. We came to the area for a team competition and it fit our crew perfectly. It provided a cozy atmosphere and was comfortable enough for us to all get a good night’s sleep. Highly recommend!

We loved staying here, the setting, the house, the interior were so lovely! Plenty of bedroom and bathroom space for 4 adults. Everything we needed was there. Snowed during our stay, very pretty and easy access to the property. We would definitely stay here again.

Cozy cabin under the stars

My friends and I stayed at this beautiful home for the second year in a row now, and were so pleased. There's bounds of outdoor space between a deck, firepit, and massive backyard, and the interior of the home is beautiful.

The most peaceful home ever

This home was absolutely stunning! Has so much to do, swim , fish , play board games, enjoy time in nature! It was overall the best place i have stayed yet! Do not hesitate to book with them it was amazing . We rented the pavilion for a day which has a volleyball net and a whole kitchen to cook the food and has supplies for the party.

Great family house

We loved our stay here! All ages enjoyed the toys, boats, and clubhouse. The decks were so beautiful to sit out by and the surroundings are peaceful and clean. The house was clean and host was very nice and reachable. We would love to come again!

packed with enjoyable experiences

We were thee for only about 14 hours. They were packed with so much. With about 2 hours of daylight, we started with the boats, then the volleyball. Then the fire pit. A downpour pushed us inside, where we had a movie until bedtime. Everyone enjoyed their beds. Up in the morning for breakfast, packing and cleanup. Everyone had a great time and wans to come back.

Cozy Spring Break Getaway

My family of four met up with my parents for a three-night stay at this lovely cabin. We all had a comfortable place to sleep and plenty of space for playing games and sharing meals. We loved exploring the property. My husband fished, my daughter kayaked, and the rest of us enjoyed walks. Ken was a quick and thoughtful communicator. He answered our questions helpfully each time.

I, Ken, grew up in Accident, MD on this farm. In 1995 I moved to Nashville, TN to take a job as a Road Manager/Sound Engineer for many different artists. This took me to all 50 states and about 15 countries. In Nashville, I met my wife Cheryl who was working for the management company of George Strait, Lee Ann Womack, Dierks Bentley, and others. She also went to school for interior design.
We got married in 2002 and now have 4 children. After the children came along, I decided I no longer wanted to be on the road all the time, so I got a "real job" in the building industry designing homes. In 2014 we decided to move back to Accident, MD.
We both love having guests over and enjoy cooking. Sipping a fresh cup of hot coffee on the front porch while watching the deer and wild turkeys is an enjoyment of ours. Cheryl's parents both moved to the US from Cuba in the 1950's so Cheryl's first language was Spanish. Cheryl grinds her own flour and bakes fresh bread regularly. Her homemade pizzas will rival any pizza shop! One of her passions is to take old furniture or other objects and take her artistic touch to turn them into something new, useful and exciting! She also enjoys oil painting when she gets the opportunity.
While I now spend much of my time working from home designing houses, I also mix sound at a local state university where they bring in various national/international artists.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

I am one of nine children who grew up on this farm. When I was in middle school my dad and I planted the white pines that now surround the cabin. A few years later we built the pond so that we would have water to irrigate our strawberry fields. Several of us kids moved out of the area when we grew up and my dad and mom decided to build this cabin so that their kids would have a place to stay when we came back home to visit.
The construction of the cabin was a labor of love by my dad, my siblings, in-laws, and some friends. Some of the hemlock boards used for the siding and trim came from trees off the farm. My parents decided to extend their hospitality and make the cabin available to people outside of the immediate family. Many have made this their vacation home year after year!
My father was a school teacher, a pastor, and a farmer. He passed away in 2002 and since then the cabin has been managed by Ida, my mom, along with help from the kids. At age 88 she decided that it was too much for her to manage and that it was time to sell it to one of her kids.
In Feb 2022 Cheryl and I were blessed with the opportunity to purchase it from her and continue the tradition! We feel that it is too nice of a place to just be enjoyed by one family and we want to share it with you and others! We want others to also be able to escape the craziness in the world and to be able to relax and be refreshed by the peace and beauty in nature - at least for a while...

The area is quiet and private, yet close enough to enjoy the local attractions and the mountains of Western Maryland.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The cabin is fully furnished, heated, and overlooks our private 1-1/2 acre lake. There is a firepit between the cabin and the pond that is available to use.

Also available within a few hundred feet, if needed, is a pavilion with picnic tables, chairs, gas grill, and a campfire circle of large rocks for relaxation, story-telling, or reminiscing. There is a sand volleyball court near the pavilion.

We also have the Butterfly Suite that sleeps 5-6 and the Board Room that sleeps up to 9 a few hundred yards across the field. This works great for family reunions, weddings etc.

A number of weddings have also been held on the farm in the beautiful setting of the lake area.

Whether you are seeking a peaceful retreat, a romantic getaway, or simply want to experience a natural wonder, you will find what you are looking for at the Country Acres Retreat.
