Modern och hip house upp på en kulle med fantastisk utsikt över Santa Monica bergen. Bra ställe att underhålla, både inne och ute. Känns som du är på en avskild tillflyktsort.
Ett tunnland mycket, RV uppkopplingar, husdjursvänliga, Dwell modern stil, familjevänlig, stor sluten gård. BBQ med vackra främre däck alla upp för uteservering.
3 sovrum, 2 badhus i ett lugnt bostadsområde. Mästare badrummet har en två personer jacuzzi bredvid ett spa som ångdusch. Utomhus dusch med total avskildhet. Ställ tillbaka av en återvändsgränd. 25 minuter till Malibu stranden, 45 minuter LAX. En och en halv timme från Disneyland timme, 45 minuter från Santa Barbara. 20 minuter till Camarillo Outlet Mall. Hästgård med hästar att hyra 5 minuter från huset, vackra statspark vandrings-och cykelleder fem minuter från huset. Spårhuvud vid hörnet av egendom som öppnar upp till vandring.

The home was very clean, the kitchen was well stocked and we really liked the location. The guest book provided very clear instructions for checkout and how to use various items in the house. We really enjoyed our stay.

Relax!

Such a relaxing stay—in between events for a wedding we attended. Great accommodations that perfectly fit our needs. And a visit from a family of quail made it even better!

Absolutely Awesome!

We’ve booked many rental homes with our family and Modern Rustic Retreat was one of the very best we’ve experienced. The home had stunning vistas and multiple conversation areas. It had a well-appointed kitchen. We enjoyed the neighborhood, the nice neighbors, and lots of hiking trails in walking distance. We would highly recommend it.

Family Time and Memories

Our multigenerational family enjoyed our time together at this modern rustic retreat! Lots of room for puzzles, crafts, relaxing and spending time on the patio enjoying the unbelievable views! This is our third year and will continue to return!

Family Christmas

Multi-generational family Christmas filled with fun and memories! This is the second time we have stayed and it was just as good as the first time. The location is perfect for beach days, hiking and visited the Reagan Presidential Library. Lots of space indoors and out and this year we were able to enjoy the outside table and fire pit as the rain stayed away for a few days. Daniel the host is professional and responsive. We had a great time!

Would recommend and come back

Overall the stay was great for a girls trip/birthday retreat. The place was nicely secluded, quaint, and spacious. The location is great; minute from local shops, and fun activities. Beautiful views from every angle. The space was clean and well kept. Each room ahead it’s own unique style which was great. The house is pet and family friendly. Great for large family gatherings, and relaxing get away. The fire pit makes for long memorable evening; greats for a night in. The view of the mountains from the secondary bedrooms is spectacular, especially from early morning. Would definitely come back.

Truly a modern retreat!

My family and I stayed here because we had to suddenly vacate our home from a slab leak. What a gem we found - we were extremely pleased with our stay! The owner was very kind, responsive and handled things expeditiously to get us into his property. It was an extremely stressful time for us and when I saw the home, I let out a huge sigh of relief that we could take refuge here. After the kids went down, we actually had a chance to watch some tv and a movie together almost every night. It was a wonderful! Wonderful for kids! We have toddler twins and this property had a large backyard that has a sand area to play. For larger kids they can stack tires and climb. There is also a small tree house/platform that my kids loved climbing up and looking out. There is also a rope swing and on the side of the house there is a tire swing as well! My twins were able to use the kids table and chairs to eat. They thoroughly enjoyed it. This place is also pet friendly so we had our little furry friend with us. Property was clean and well maintained. We also loved the side yard with huge table and bench and fire pit. Beautiful views especially in the evening. We would thoroughly rent this place again. In fact, even though we live just 15 miles away, we would consider it for a short get away with friends and family as it is great for adults as well. Thanks s much!

We loved this house! The setting is so special with a beautiful view of the mountains and a nice sitting area outside with fire pit. The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked. We would definitely recommend and stay again!

The house and property offered an excellent experience. The interior was exactly as shown in the pictures—spacious, comfortable, and perfect for family gatherings. Each room was tastefully decorated, and the restrooms were spotless and well maintained.The play area was an ideal spot to relax and unwind while taking in the beautiful outdoor views. The outdoor space itself was expansive, inviting guests to explore and enjoy the natural surroundings. A few tall pine trees and thoughtfully placed chairs create the perfect setting to soak in the serene and scenic landscape.As the seasons shift toward fall and winter, this home remains a wonderful retreat—where you can enjoy both the cozy indoors and the mild Southern California winter weather outdoors. The drive from Los Angeles is well worth it for anyone seeking a peaceful escape from the city and a refreshing connection with nature.

I was in need of a rental home for 3 weeks. I could not have found a better home and host than right here. The communication was stellar throughout. The house has an incredible sense of remote rustic feel while being very close to Thousand Oaks, Oxnard, etc. I loved the ease of commute to LA where I was needed on business a few times. The back patio in mornings and evenings, the open air vibe with the sliding doors open in the cool CA air - all create an amazing atmosphere. I love to cook - the kitchen is fantastic, as is the grill out back. I highly recommend this home and would return and rent it again.

This is the 2nd year we’ve stayed here and we loved it every bit as we did last year! It has everything you would ever need and great for young kids. My 3 year old grandson spent many hours playing in the back area which had a sandy area to play with the toys that are there for them! The back patio is an oasis of foliage and flowers and a magnificent view. Looking forward to coming again next year!!

Fire Pit with Terrific View

The living spaces were much larger than I expected. The best part was the adorable little patio with a big fire pit and a fabulous view. And it was so peaceful!! Would have been nice to have some sort of closet or at least a hanger in one of the small bedrooms. Terrific kitchen with everything we could ever want. We had guests over and had no problem with fitting 18.

Great get away! Very quiet and peaceful. Everything we needed, from kitchenware to towels and linens, felt like a home away from home. Enjoyed cooking and bbqing for the family, and loved the option of outdoor or indoor seating for all 7 of us! The property was perfect with lots of different outdoor spaces to enjoy. Truly a retreat!

Perfection

Came to Cali from Michigan for our 1st borns wedding. We have a family of 6 and the space was ideal. Location to venue was perfect. Loved the layout of the home. We actually had the rehearsal dinner catered in at the house due to the layout and outdoor areas.

My wife Hollie, two daughters Sydney and Maxine, Sandy (our yellow lab) horse name Ned and Roger our barn cat. We (only the humans) travel a lot between our houses in Portland Or. and Thousand Oaks, Ca. We are both entrepreneurs, Hollie a Communication consultant and I am architectural designer We homeschooled our children till there were 8 and 10 and considered it a privilege with to have them in our lives all the time. Now they both attend a local private school. We also co-founded and oversaw an outreach to the homeless and those in transition in the Santa Monica and Malibu area for the last 15 years (www.sosmalibu.org). As a family we love adventure and life. Snow skiing almost weekly during the winter between Mt. Hood, Or. and Snow Valley,Utah. Mountain biking in the Santa Monica mountains and Bend, Or. I am an avid marathon runner, trail runner, and hiker. We love food from all parts of the world and get to experience it often when we are in Portland visiting the famous food carts.

Though the neighborhood is an older subdivision of small homes and lots, our ONE ACRE property sits atop of a hill above a cul de sac with stunning views. There are no houses behind us that give total privacy for the outdoor shower. Every afternoon we get breezes from the coast that is only 8 miles away
