Huset sover 8 i 3 queen size-sängar och en full storlek futon. Den har 2 badrum och en fantastisk utsikt. I trädgården finns en softballpark, komplett med vattendrag, glidbana, gungor och eldstad. Huset har trägolv och är husdjursvänligt. Den lilla staden Whalan ligger bara 4 mil öster om Lanesboro. Du kan gå, köra, simma, kajak, cykla eller kanot mellan de två städerna. Fastigheten ligger bara ett kvarter från Root River State Bicycle Trail och cirka 3 kvarter från World Famous Pie Shop.
Detta 100 år gamla hus har flyttats från sitt ursprungliga läge mittemot pajbutiken och har nu utsikt över Gator Greens Mini Golf. Huset har tappats till tapparna och gjort om. Bra läge för cykelentusiaster i alla åldrar. Whalan ligger bara 4 miles från Lanesboro och 8 miles från Peterson. Det är några av de plattaste delarna av leden, med fantastisk utsikt över bluffarna och floden.

Girls Weekend Getaway

We had the best time! I am so glad we stayed where we did because if we hadn’t, we never would’ve experienced Whalen and all the hidden treasures like the depot, the pie store, and cedar valley resort! Would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a fun place to unplug!

Perfect spot for family gathering!

Great location! This place was a great place to reconnect with family. Clean and comfortable. Grilled out and enjoyed dinner on the deck after a day of biking the nearby trails.

The house was very convenient for biking on Root River Trail. The basement bedroom was comfortable but the stairs were very steep and narrow.

Great stay close to biking trail

This house worked perfectly for our stay in the area! We visited for a trip with friends to bike on the trail. Loved the location, so close to the trail and the pie shop. It was a bonus that there was a park across the street and we had a bonfire there at night. House had everything that we needed. Comfortable beds. We’ll stay again!

Ladies Get Away

The property is located in a park in Whalan. Very quiet neighborhood. Close to bike trail. Loved the little Aroma Pie Shoppe which is in walking/biking distance from the property. House was clean and had all the amenities that we needed. Would definitely stay there again.

Cyclone Inn Stay

Great time was had by all. Location cannot be beat, close to the trails. Upstairs got a little warm with the high summer temps and water pressure did vary. But you could not beat the cleanliness and comfort!

Great location and perfect house for 4 adults to relax and enjoy the area!

We loved this house! It was the perfect location in the quiet town of Whalan midway on the trail between the eastern and western ends! It was close enough to Lanesboro to be convenient but far enough away to feel like we had some peace from the crowds. The house fits 6 but was a perfect fit for 4 adults to not feel overcrowded. We were very happy to have the park next door with a fire pit to use both nights we stayed and the weather couldn't have been better while we were there. And the beds were very comfortable!

Quiet location

Nice, quiet location, and clean. I would say the owner should update the VRBO listing on full size beds to three. Currently it starts four full size beds but, the fourth full size bed was a futon. Had I read that, I wouldn’t have booked this house. A listing should be a honest depiction of the amenities. I won’t pick this listing again.

High on the Hill

The house was fine but nothing special. We did not know that the second bathroom and a bedroom were in the basement. Two more bedrooms were upstairs, but no upstairs bathroom. There was minimal silver ware and no glasses that seemed usable. We bought glasses to use. The Coffee pot did not work. We notified the owner on the 2nd day and she brought her coffee pot to the house while we were out biking. We were there to bike mostly so we made it work. The location was as described up on a hill. The house was walking distance to the small town where one store was open during our 5 day stay. It looked like a nice bakery across the street from the trail, but this time of year, the owner is only open on Saturday. Lots of steps and they were dusty. There was a cobweb in the basement bathroom. The water barely trickled out of the shower head. The basement bedroom did have windows, so that helped but it was 10 degrees cooler in the lower level. It was a quiet house at night. A park is right next to the house if you have children. The house has an interesting history of how it was brought to this location and installed on the hill. It was very adequate for a few days for the two of us.

I own and operate this house. I am originally from Duluth, and has migrated south. I runs the Gator Greens Mini Golf course and keeps the guests happy.

Varför värden valde detta boende

This house was 'Free to a good home', but we had to move it 4 blocks and completely remodel it. We put it on a walk out basement, and placed a large 10x20 deck overlooking the mini golf course, bike trail and the river. The inside offers 3 bedrooms all with great views. Lots of wild life to experience, deer, squirrels, birds and the like. Private setting.

This house has a great view, wonderful deck and exceptional city park in your front yard, which includes a baseball diamond, fire pit, swings teeter totters, slides and monkey bars that is one of Whalan's best kept secrets. Located near the end of Bench Street, it offers you a private, wooded adventure. Nestled along side the original homestead of John Whalahann. John deeded the property to the city of Whalan and thus created Whalan. The house is currently being remodeled too. The house is located just one block off the Root River State Bicycle trail, allowing for Cycling enthusiasts great access to the trail.
