Cozy home

Tutu’s place was clean, comfortable and very homey. It was close to downtown and to the beach. I enjoyed all the amenities that were offered. I will definitely be back.

Wonderful Stay!

We had a great holiday here. The flat was exactly as described and had everything we needed. The location was excellent, we could walk everywhere and Faye was very friendly and easy to work with. We can only recommend this spot and plan to be back again next year!

Sweet, cozy place in great location

I loved walking to the beach, to restaurants, to yoga, to shopping, and the train. And I loved coming home to a safe, cozy spot each evening.

Great location in Carlsbad village. Other than a grocery store, everything you need is within walking distance. Rental could use a few upgrades in terms of furniture, small appliances, TV, etc., but otherwise everything was fine. No A/C in the unit, but in fairness, was not listed as an amenity which I missed.

Excellent Location

The location of the condo is perfect. Just a short walk to the beach and a short walk to all the restaurants and bars. This complex is one of our favorites and we’ll definitely be back.

Amazing few days in Carlsbad!

This place is in the perfect location, close to everything including the beach, coffee shops and restaurants all within walking distance. Just the right size for a couple, full kitchen, very clean and comfortable atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!

Carlsbad is the best

I rented this place because I wanted to be in the heart of Carlsbad Village. The location was absolutely perfect. We could walk to everything. So, as far as location, this place is perfect. The owner did an excellent job communicating with me over a glitch with the portable air conditioning unit. Which we got resolved.

Great rental near beach

We enjoyed very much our stay at Tutu's Place. The condo was clean, comfortable, and located conveniently close to the beach and downtown Carlsbad. The cost was reasonable. It was a little noisy but then we live in the country and aren't used to city noises. Overall it was a very positive experience and we would definitely return.

Middle of the action

Upstairs condo was just the right size for my husband and I to visit friends for graduation celebration. Felt safe, away from the busiest streets, yet very accessible to all we needed, especially to walk the Carlsbad promenade or beach. All kinds of shops and restaurants nearby. The condo itself is older but comfortable. Bed was good. Kitchen was adequate for the cooking we did. The hostess was always available if needed, though we missed meeting her as she was under the weather.

Hosts were very accommodating. Because of a big storm in California, we came three days late. They were able to add these days on at the end so we had our full 7 days. This was much appreciated!

Great place by the beach

This property and area was awesome. Clean and stocked with all you need. The area can’t be beat. Restaurants, coffee, and bars close by. Parking right below the unit. Fans cool the place down. Bed was a little squeaky but comfortable. Nice towels. Didn’t use the beach stuff but there was some beach stuff also. Stay here!

Carlsbad Village Getaway

The property is very nice and comfortable. We really enjoyed the good natural lighting provided by lots of windows and the skylight. The property was exactly as described and very well supplied with everything we needed for our stay. The property manager was extremely responsive and helpful when little issues popped up that we needed help with. Would highly recommend because of its location and convenience in regards to the beach and many fine restaurants and shops all within a few blocks. The only concern I would have is if you aren’t used to a train running nearby all day and into the evening, it could disrupt your sleeping. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

Loved 'Tutu's Place"!

What a wonderful "home away from home"! Tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished, this charming condo was perfect for the two of us to celebrate our anniversary! Everything freshly painted and sparkling clean; comfy bed and silky sheets; grounds are lovely and well kept. The location couldn't have been better! We walked the short block to the boardwalk at Carlsbad Beach nearly every day, and the Village shops and restaurants are only a couple blocks away, as is the "Coaster" train station. Hopefully, we can stay here again on our next vacay in Carlsbad! Despite the noisy train and nearby traffic, it was a minor disturbance compared to all the positive aspects! Our owners were very accommodating and thoughtful and were awesome "hosts"; and we would unquestionably recommend it to others!

Laid-Back & Relaxed

My husband & I spent 4 days at TuTu's in mid-September. It was very relaxing & laid-back. The space was compact, but not cramped, & very comfortable. The complex was small & this 2nd floor unit had a vaulted wood ceiling (touch of classic California design!) to help with cooling. There is not central air in the unit, but ceiling fans & stand fans kept it cool enough with screens & ocean breezes. There is a portable A/C unit in the bedroom that was appreciated for sleeping. We chose not to rent a car and this was a good location in regard to Carlsbad Village Train/Bus Station, beach, & restaurants. Getting to a real grocery store was a 1-1.2 mile walk (or we could have taken a bus), but no hills & plenty of pedestrian crossings. And there is a 7-11 right across the street if you don't mind paying convenience store prices. Faye was very responsive to any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again should we come back to the area!

Fantastic location

Modest accommodation in an ideal location. Short walk to the coast, beach, sunset walks, State Street food and drink. Reserved parking space is a delight, especially during busy times.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

We love this condo complex! This was the property we stayed at when we first visited Carlsbad. We discovered how wonderful a location this is for our walks to the beach, exploring the village, and spending Tutu (Grandparent) time with our young grandson who learned to walk here. After our initial 10 day stay, we decided the Monterey Gage condos was perfect for us, and knew that we would be returning.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Despite its modest square footage, the unit feels spacious because of its open beam ceilings and vented skylight. An added benefit - there's no one above us or below us. This condominium complex provides privacy yet gives easy access to the vibrant Carlsbad community.
