 So many things made it special: the perfectly stocked kitchen, the great view of the ocean, the lanai, lovely leis and fresh flowers greeted us, Ryan’s accommodating and personable service (on-island caretaker), and the beautiful, and comfortable decor.  The digital guidebook contained everything we needed to know about our stay there-so helpful!

The view was amazing and the place was so pretty. It has a real cook’s kitchen with absolutely everything you’d ever want. There are nice beach chairs, towels, a cooler, and even sunscreen. So amazingly helpful! The stove top is induction which took us a bit to figure out, but once we did it was so easy and worked great.You can also borrow from the front desk tennis rackets, balls, pickle ball stuff, and putters to use at the onsite amenities. The pool and hot tub are great too!

Amazing! Can't wait to return!

Wonderful getaway

I don't know how I can say any more than what's already been stated in previous glowing remarks, other than the fact that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend this spacious, clean, and comfortable property to any one!

Lovely stay, nice to be away from the Hubbub of Lahania.

The unit was very nice. Wish the beach was bigger. The grounds were a little dated, but I enjoyed it being a smaller resort.

Aloha Tina, Many mahalos for staying in our home! For those reading your review, here is a helpful link about Kahana Beach: http://www.to-hawaii.com/maui/beaches/kahanabeach.php It isn't a "destination" beach like Kaanapali or Makena, but we also don't charge $1000+ per night which is what it would cost for 3 bedroom rentals or 3 hotel rooms on those "big" multi-mile-long beaches. We love having sandy beach access right outside our door that isn't overcrowded. It's a favorite beach among locals :) Much of West Maui was developed in the 70's and early 80's (Sands is one of the younger ones in that period), with the exception of some of the newer resorts in Kapalua and Kaanapali. And, as you can imagine (or have seen), those newer resorts are very pricey. Given our "budget-luxury" status, we think the resort offers a lot of value and quality! Thank you again for your feedback and for allowing us to share our home with you.

Excellent property!!

It is beautiful and very spacious! My family of 6 and grand daughter had an amazing time. Everything we needed was there! And rocking chaise loungers on patio rocked her to sleep many nights!! Hope to go back again and stay there!!

Very pleasant, remodeled condo in a great location

The condo felt fresh and modern; kitchen stocked better then mine at home. We enjoyed resting indoors almost as much as exploring the great Maui island. Excellent air-conditioning, which is a big deal with my family. The resort is a little dated, but the beach is very nice and the location is great; we loved being walking distance to shops.

Perfect vacation!

Highly recommend this property! It’s even better than the pictures. We stayed with 8 people and had more than enough room. Clean, updated and fully stocked with everything you need in the room and for the beach. Brooke was super responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. The property is beautifully maintained and conveniently located near Lahaina and other popular spots.

Great vacation

Brooke and Ken's condo was just as they described it. The kitchen was well stocked with anything one might be looking for to do meal prep, plus some. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning was totally adequate and there were a variety of chairs, coolers, etc. for going to the beach. Our family of 6 was very comfortable in the condo and we would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.

AMAZING!

Our family stayed here for a week in July and it was the most fantastic vacation we ever had. The apartment is luxurious with every amenity you'd ever need, the view was to die for, and the beach is clean and the water is spotless. It was our first time in Maui and this was the perfect setting for it :) Thank you again!

Condo had a nice view and the kitchen well stocked. The only problem was the stove. It was extremely hard to work. The directions were there but we never could get it to cook in a timely manner!

Our high-end Miele induction range is very easy to use, once you get familiar with using an induction cooktop. It boils water in less than a minute! We wish that you would have reached out to us or our caretaker to assist you so we could have earned a fifth star from you.

Did not want to leave

we did not want to leave. Two week Maui vacation with 6 adults, and 2 kids, aged 3 and 5 months. Great comfortable condo, great location and friendly, helpful staff. We did not have problems with elevator or parking as described by other reviewers. Kids pool was ideal for the 3 year old, and beach fine for snorkeling although we also tried some of the nearby beaches and a Boat trip to Molekini.

Home Away from Home

Just. So. Comfortable. Hawaiian Haven was perfectly for our multi-family group. Great floor plan. The unit is beautifully updated and modern, as the photos show. The property is comfortably mid-sized and well-maintained with all of the amenities and conveniences you expect. Owners were thoughtful and responsive throughout. So glad we chose this over a hotel or single-family property.

More then expected

This was an awesome place. Was very impressed with everything. From the decor to the view. Nothing disappointing. They had just about everything in their kitchen you could ever need, to items for the beach. I would highly recommend this place and will differently use it in the future. There was not an adult in our group that was not impressed. LOVED IT!! GOOD JOB!!

Very well equipped condo , nice ocean views

Really nicely equipped condo. Including beach chairs, towels, sun shade snorkeling and body boards. Everything in the condo was at least as nice as described. The owners were very responsive in fixing broken coffee machine. The resort is well maintained with nice gardens and tennis court. The only down side was that the beach has suffered erosion exposing sharp rocks around the entance and water line. There is sand further along and better beaches a little drive away.

When that happens, the sand can get tossed around, but it always returns! The beach is typically as pictured in our photos. Our entire experience with Hawaiian Haven was OUTSTANDING! Every experience from booking the condo to checking out to head back home was truly top notch. The accommodations were exceptional. Every detail, from the interior decor of the condo to the Hawaiian Haven app were done with such intentionality and care - this team really knows how to make your stay extraordinary. Sands of Kahana was also a great location to start your adventures from - you have Kaanapali (shopping, restaurants and Black Rock) just to the south, and Napili just north of you and Captain Jacks is located on the property. Highly recommend Baya Bowls, Olea Coffee and Island Vibes Cafe. For fun and adventure - you have to try Trilogy's Lanai, Molokini and Evening cruises - they take such good care of you! Lastly, we drove our jeep around Haleakala (not for the faint of heart), and coming around the southeast side at sunset was AMAZING! Volcano on our right, ocean on our left and sunset straight ahead - golden hour - I put it up there with seeing Yosemite for the first time. Thank you, Ken & Brooke, for opening your beautiful condo to me and my family so that we might enjoy the beautiful island of Maui from such a beautiful and well-equipped location. Maholo for sharing your Aloha spirit with us!

Lovely unit that fitted all our needs. Will use it again in the future.

Brooke was excellent to deal with and the unit was true to the description given in every way. Enjoyed the location and the views of the ocean especially early morning and in the evening out on the Kansai. The sleeping accomodation suited the six of us very well. I particularly enjoyed sleeping in the master bed - the mattress cured my sore back. The facilities in the unit were excellent from the TV equipment and Internet access, to the laundry facilities. We all enjoyed the beach equipment such as the chairs, and boogie boards.

Absolute Paradise

Brooke and Ken are perfect hosts! Exceptional communication and customer service. Their condo is gorgeous, modern, beachy, and has all the amenities we needed. From the moment we walked in the door it was paradise and we felt right at home. Kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. Beds were extremely comfortable. The view was spectacular. Great location. Enjoyed watching the sun set while relaxing on the beach. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Everything about this property was top notch and I would highly recommend this condo if you want to make special Maui memories! Thanks Brooke for everything.

ALOHA, pleasure awaits- everything you need and want in a condo

Our first 10 minutes in this beautiful home were a whirlwind of craze. 8 of us in total, plane delay issues, late picking up rental cars tired as can be just ready to get cozy for bed, walk into this lovely beach home and couldn't find the third bedroom. All 8 of us walking in circles trying to figure out where the other room could be or were we in the wrong place? In a frantic, oh my goodness moment I called and left a message. As, I close the front door to go down to the front desk, the kids laugh out there's the other room!!..the third bedroom door is behind the front door. Before the night was over I had a response to my calls. All communication was through email and worked well. Very enjoyable location with everything you could ask for and then some..The cupboards are stocked with plenty of seasonings and there are plenty of beach towels and bath towels that we never had to take a bath towel to the beach or wash towels everyday. The pots, pans, appliances and serving utensils are all top notch. We appreciated the quality in the home from the bedding to the knives and The sunset views from the lanai are breathtaking! the week went way too fast! Mahalo for sharing your home for others to enjoy...ALOHA!!!

Family Vacation for 7

We stayed at Brook and Ken's property at the Sands of Kahana resort in June 2016 for 5 days as part of our 15 day Hawaiian vacation. We had 3 adults, and 4 teenagers in our group. Ken and Brook were great to work with and communicated with us every step along the way of our rental planning, and vacation stay. The condo is beautiful, with lots of space for everyone to spread out. The kitchen has EVERYTHING you could ever need and was already stocked with many spices, condiments, and a few other non-perishable items that came in handy thanks to the owners or other renters. They have a full size cooler for your use, which we found very beneficial during our "Road to Hana" drive. They've also got plenty of beach towels. The washer and dryer are top notch and were very useful. The entertainment system is fantastic offering smart TV's for all your TV/Movie watching needs. The outdoor patio is a great place to hang out and enjoy a meal or snack. The pictures provided are great. Some upgrades have been made since the photos were taken and I think the unit is even better than depicted. Having air conditioning is a great perk, but the overhead fans are fantastic as well. The views are fantastic and the Sands of Kahana property is beautiful, easy to get to, close to shopping, and overall just a great place to be. The onsite restaurant and bar offers great bar & grill style food right next to the pool. There are plenty of chairs around the property to enjoy the pool and beach areas. The rental booth next to the pool can help you with kayak's or paddleboards, snorkel gear, and anything else you might need to get out in the water. The Old Lahaina Luau is just down the road, and I highly recommend it if you plan to attend a Luau. If we ever go back to Maui, I'm very likely to be a repeat customer! We're so happy that you enjoyed our home and found it to be even better than pictured. :) We're also glad to hear that you enjoyed the new air conditioning system as well as the location. We think its a great spot to be close enough to all that the west side has to offer, while quiet enough to have a relaxing vacation.
