Lovely stay in Madrid

We thought this was one of the nicest VRBO places we have stayed in. The apartment photos and description were very accurate. It was very clean. Check in was easy. The neighborhood was nice. It is nicely decorated, we enjoyed just sitting in the living room and talking. Would stay here again.

Wonderful and comfortable apartment

We spent 10 days in Madrid. The apartment is in a great location, very comfortable and ample and a very well equipped kitchen. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing property!

The location was perfect for our family, close to the metro station and a block from one of the best playgrounds in Madrid. We walked everywhere and loved the safe neighborhood. The flat was so well laid out! We had so much space to stretch. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and we were treated so well by Juan. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful flat! We will be back one day!

Great Apartment Near Plaza de Espana!

This is a large, quiet, beautiful apartment near (200 yards from) the Plaza de Espana. It is right across Calle Princesa from the Tower of Spain. We had planned to share the apartment with friends, but a last-minute injury spoiled their plans, so we enjoyed the entire apartment ourselves. With a well stocked kitchen, we had tea every afternoon and even cooked the occasional breakfast and dinner. Juan was delightful, and even provided some food essentials. We had a delightful time, and strongly recommend this apartment.

Clean, convenient and comfortable apartment

We had a family gathering in Madrid with several family members. Juan Antonio’s apartment accommodated us all very well. He met us at check in and gave us good information. Access to transit is great. Very clean and well equipped. Highly recommend!

3 couples 1 week in madrid

Juan has a beautiful apartment that was perfect for 3 couples. The location was perfect for us as we were attending a cultural exhibit 2 blocks away. the location is very walkable to many restaurants both small and neighborly as well as larger and more franchise-ish. We used UBER to get around and it worked perfectly! We even ordered pizza from Dominos as we had had our fill of chorizo, ham, tortilla and cheese...as we ate our way across Madrid. The pictures of the rooms are spot on. There was plenty to munch on when we arrived, fruit, juice, milk, bread, yogurt, butter. 4 of us arrived and then 2 an hour later. He waited until we were all there before leaving and kept in touch with us via Whatsapp throughout our stay. The kitchen was fully equiped although we did not cook during our short stay. There is a washer but no dryer so any washed clothes would need to be hung to dry on the outside line between two windows. With that, if you are used to towels dried in the dryer, the towels were not soft...not a problem just different than a hotel. In addition, bring with you a washcloth or other washing instrument if you are used to that. Not common in Spain. Anything we needed was available in the appartment...brochures and travel guides. We brought our computer and an HDMI cable and were able to watch movies as well as US news. We had an awesome stay in this awesome Piso and highly recommend it!

A great place to relax and recharge

Juan, the wonderful host of this lovely property, could not have been nicer. The flat is as pictured, with plenty of space for our family to relax after long days exploring Madrid. The many attractive fine art posters decorating the walls provide plenty of local colour (and are fun to see before/after visiting the city's major art institutions). Nearby grocery store and restaurants are very handy, but the view from the front windows of the apartment is a little bit charmless. However, this is a very minor matter. Highly recommended,

Fabulous apartment in very central location.

We spent a week at the apartment. It was very well located and walking distance to many of the great areas you will want to frequent. There is a metro stop very close to the apartment as well. There is also a grocery store just downstairs. The owner Juan is great. He greeted us at the apartment when we arrived and provided a fruit basket as well as all breakfast essential so we could start our stay without having to run to the store immediately. The apartment has lovely living areas which we enjoyed with our family. I cannot wait to visit again! Thank you Juan for sharing your lovely place with us!

Beautiful space, busy location

We loved the apartment, which was comfortable for all 8 members of the family. It would have been nice to have air conditioning, but we were prepared for the heat. The one thing we didn't know was that the apartment overlooks a major street in Madrid; this means it is very convenient to all the things you want to see (the Palacio Royal, old city, gardens, shopping) but it is very, very noisy. Traffic and Madrid residents are always on the go! But you can't beat the lovely space and the comfort, and it was nice to be able to walk to so many must-see attractions in the city.

Wonderful week in Madrid

Our stay in Juan Antonio’s apartment was a wonderful experience. The way the apartment is decorated as well as furniture that you find throughout this very spacious and clean property made us feel quite at home. Location couldn’t be better; right next to the city center. Plaza España Metro station is literally across the street, as well as bus station. Grocery store a block away. Even though, it is so well located, the apartment is very quiet, due to the fact that it is on a mainly pedestrian street. We also appreciated very much the groceries we found upon our arrival, which made it possible for us to have breakfast the next morning without having to go to the grocery store and instead have a needed rest after a very long flight. We will definitely stay in Juan Antonio’s apartment on a future trip to Madrid and would highly recommend staying in this apartment.

Bellissima location

Siamo stati a Madrid per un viaggio familiare; la casa di Juan è molto adatta per un gruppo numeroso come il nostro, è grande e ben organizzata, inoltre è in una posizione centralissima per cui spostarsi è semplicissimo (la metro è molto vicino), in pochissimi minuti si è sulla Gran Via. Di Juan non si può che dire bene, persona speciale, gentile e disponibile ci ha accolto nonostante siamo arrivati tardi e si è prodigato in spiegazioni rispondendo a tutte le nostre domande. Consiglio vivamente la casa di Juan a tutti coloro che vogliono trascorrere una vacanza nel centro di Madrid.

Wonderful apartment in great location

This apartment was wonderfully decorated, not at all like a rental, more like Juan Antonio and his family lived there. There was plenty of room for six of us. We especially enjoyed the roomy family/living room combo area that had floor to ceiling windows opening onto a street below that had very limited traffic and converted into al fresco dining on certain evenings. Great area to relax with a glass of wine after a long day of touring Madrid! The apartment was well stocked with everything you need to prepare meals, do laundry, etc. Juan Antonio even had a few staples like fruit, bread, milk, cereal, coffee, butter, etc. for us upon arrival. Juan Antonio was tremendous. He met us at the apartment and took plenty of time to acquaint us with the amenities and the immediate areas. He was quite a gentleman. The apartment is convenient to the metro stations and within walking distance of many of the attractions that Madrid has to offer. I would highly recommend this apartment. Thank you Juan Antonio!

A beautiful, welcoming apartment for a family stay in Madrid

We had the most comfortable stay at Juan's lovely apartment. Plenty of flexible sleeping and living space for our family gathering of 3 generations. It really felt like our home from home, with everything we could need. The colourful salon was a particular delight! The location is excellent - grocery shop and small playground just around the corner; metro and bus stops very close; easy walking to Gran Via and Puerta del Sol. Highly recommended!

Great place for larger family

We selected this appartment for the living room space and were not disappointed. We were 9 people and enjoyed being able to eat breakfast together and hang out in the evening. It is an older appartment but very functional and we had no issues. The location is perfect, close to city center, metro and a grocery store across the street. Despite of our flight delay, the owner was waiting to receive us which was very nice. We would book this place another time.

Wonderful Apartment!

We stayed in this beautiful apartment for five days over the holidays. It is centrally located, spacious, and the bedrooms offer a quiet haven at the end of the day. We truly enjoyed our experience in this unit, which was made even better by the owner's kind and accommodating assistance with our check-in and travel arrangements.

Absolutely Beautiful and Homey

Loved everything about this place. Juan Antonio (owner) was very attentive and professional. I would definitely come back to this place in a heartbeat, if felt like I was just at home. Almost afraid to post this feedback because I don’t want people find out about it, but that wouldn’t be fair. You don’t need to bring anything other than your clothes. Loved it

Groot appartement in het centrum van Madrid

Wij hebben een geweldig verblijf gehad. Het appartement was van alle gemakken voorzien en schoon. De eigenaar is zeer aardig en gastvrij. Prima locatie voor het verkennen van de stad. Supermarkt om de hoek en restaurantjes in de buurt.

SUPERBE APPARTEMENT

Appartement à louer sans hésiter entre amis ou en famille. Il n'y manque absolument rien et on s'y sent comme chez soi. Un véritable confort de disposer de 3 vastes chambres au calme, 3 salles d'eau et WC (plus une alcôve 2 lits 1 place). Un grand espace salon/salle à manger tout confort et une cuisine très bien équipée permettent de passer d'excellents moments de détente après avoir arpenté Madrid !! Situation idéale à 2 pas du métro, des commerces et restaurants, des centres d'attraction... L'accueil de Juan Antonio est parfait ; beaucoup d'attention, de gentillesse et de générosité. De précieux conseils avant et pendant le séjour pour faciliter et agrémenter vos vacances ; MUCHISIMAS GRACIAS !

Great quality of the apartment

I went in Madrid for the first time and this apartment has been the perfect place to discover the town with my children as close to 1) metro lines, 2) places to visit by foot, 3) places for enjoying a drink at night or even to 4) go shopping for daily meals. The location is perfect to stay in a peaceful place with no noise at all, cool atmosphere in summer with fans, very large rooms to stay and relax without disturbing any other member of the family. I should add that the apartment is beautifully decorated which increases the sense of being welcomed. We felt like at home during the week and we all wish to come back in Madrid in this place. Thanks to our host for his hositality, having things in the fridge for out breakfast the day after we arrived was very kind.

Se puede recomendar a un amigo.

Nuestra estadía en Madrid fue muy agradable. El apartamento fue totalmente de nuestro agrado. Siempre sentimos que recibimos el apartamento que nos habían ofrecido y que se mostraba por internet, además de un trato personal sumamente cordial, razonable y correcto. Cosas que, aunque parezcan casi obligadas en el trato, lamentablemente hoy poco se ven (El internet y el trato distante entre las personas pueden llevar a cualquier cosa) La ubicación nos pareció fantástica. Un barrio tranquilo pero a su vez central y muy bien comunicado. A pocos pasos del Palacio Real y el Madrid de los Austrias, Plaza de España y Gran Vía. Ideal para visitantes ocasionales. El apartamento amplio y sumamente cómodo. Se lo vamos a recomendar a amigos que viajen a Madrid.

Superbe appartement

au deuxième étage d'un immeuble avec ascenseur, superbe appartement très propre avec 3 grandes chambres et une alcove-bureau avec 2 lits 1 personne. 2 salles de bain avec WC et 1 salle de bain avec WC dans une chambre. Très grand salon et une salle à manger. Une grande cuisine toute équipée. Il ne manquait rien. Nous étions 8 personnes adultes et nous avions largement de la place. L'appartement est très bien situé juste à côté de la Plaza de España, le métro est à deux pas... et cerise sur le gâteau le propriétaire Juan Antonio nous a accueillis d'une façon remarquable. Etant arrivés tard le soir, il nous avait tout préparé pour que nous puissions prendre notre petit déjeuner le lendemain matin. Il donne toutes les explications nécessaires et il est très sympathique. C'est vraiment une location à recommander vivement pour un séjour à Madrid.

Old World Charm in a magnificent Old World City

Beautifully appointed, spacious apartment near Plaza de Espana in central Madrid. Well maintained and kept spotlessly clean by the gracious host, Juan Antonio, who greeted his weary overnight travelers from America with a smile and a full refrigerator. 3 full bedrooms sleeping 6 comfortably plus a smaller cubbyhole type bedroom separated by a curtain from the main living area, sleeping 2 more. 3 bathrooms, modern appliances, comfortable beds, and plenty of room. Tastefully decorated with recognizable reproductions of European artwork, the originals of which could be found in the many fine art museums of the city. The apartment is on Calle Duque de Osuna within walking distance of Palacio Real, Gran Via and other sites in the west central part of Madrid. Convenient to many restaurants and a large Metro station, as well as the red "on-off" open air tour bus. We would heartily recommend this comfortable, homey oasis in the heart of a busy city, and found it to be much more pleasant and peaceful than a similarly priced place in central Barcelona.

Super appartement avec une situation optimale

L'Appartement est formidable, très spacieux et lumineux. Très bien équipé. Une propreté irréprochable ! Une situation optimale au centre de madrid à quelques minutes à pied de la plaza mayor et du palacio real. Le métro est à seulement deux minutes. Qui plus est des propriétaires aimables et plein de bonnes intentions. Nous avions le petit déjeuner pour notre arrivée. En résumé : parfait.
