The location was really good for us and the area. The rental was clean and had every thing you would need. We stayed in the first of Sept and there is one small AC for the unit that is located in the bedroom. It was off when we arrived and took several hours to cool down and from there we left it on and it was cool enough when we got back in the evenings. A really nice couple owns it and they live on the property but let you have your own space. The outside space was nice to have for our use too. The rental is above the garage so know there will be steps. The unit is clean and safe and located in a very good spot. A winner.

This place had everything we needed, and more. A good value and well located for the activities we wanted to do. Very comfortable accommodations. Communication was easy and prompt. Definitely recommend this apartment!

Comfortable & Homey

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Laramie Bluffs. A nice location off the beaten path and away from the busy town of Custer. The owners were very nice and accommodating. The space was cozy (as expected). The air conditioner had to work really hard, and the cool air didn't circulate well even with 2 ceiling fans so cooking with the stove/oven wasn't a great idea.

Black Hills Visit

Laramie Bluffs is a top-notch place to stay. The property is very well maintained, quiet, private lodging located within minutes of Custer, SD, in addition to being within a half hour drive of Crazy Horse Monument, Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, Hill Cities' 1880 Trains and many other attractions. My wife and I stayed there 9 years ago. The property was as clean and well maintained as was during our previous visit.

Our third time at Laramie Bluffs!

We were excited to return. The last stay was 8 years ago. This was our third time staying in this perfect, peaceful home. The location is perfect-very close to Custer state park, Crazy Horse memorial, and Jewel cave. We love the kitchen set up and the outdoor dining space. It’s so quiet and relaxing here. Linda and Gary are incredibly kind and there to give good information. We will return again as we really enjoyed our visit!

Nicely appointed, cutely decorated, serene setting, up a dirt road 3 miles from town. So peaceful. Beds including the sofa bed, were comfy. Bathroom needed more of a deep cleaning, but not bad. Nice TV with streaming sx. Window AC did the trick in the bedroom. Everything one needs to cook. Loved climbing around the rocks in the backyard. Picnic & fire pit area included! Will stay again.

The location was perfect! My kids and I enjoyed climbing up the rocks and exploring around the property. The accommodations were very comfortable and we would stay again if on the area.

Beautiful Black Hills location

Beautiful location. Lovely apartment to return to after a day of exploring and hiking. Linda and Gary are kind and answered all our questions. The Black Hills and Badlands are breathtaking. Hope to return again soon.

Spring Break

My husband, son and I had a fantastic week in Custer. This location is perfect and Linda was readily available and always very helpful. Our first time to South Dakota was beautiful and fun!

Beautiful property

Very clean, private and right in the middle of so many places to hike and visit. Kitchen had everything we needed for our meal prep. Gary and Linda were awesome hosts. Would definitely recommend this property and would definitely stay here again.

Cozy place close enough yet far enough away.

Gary and Linda were gracious hosts and the cottage was perfect. The only issue we had was we did not realize it was above a garage. It did not cause us any major issues but stairs can sometimes be a problem.

The perfect spot for our fall getaway!!

We had a wonderful and relaxing time at this property. It was our second visit here as we had stayed here several years ago. We had lots of space for the two of us, comfortable beds and a kitchen to bring or make meals at the rental unit. It was also so close to all of the attractions we wanted to visit. The Laramie Bluffs Mountain Getaway was perfect for our fall “leaf peeping” getaway! Thank you Gary & Linda Fellows!!

Gary and I (Linda) have lived on this little piece of paradise since 2009. The vacation rental was our first home. We love to hike the surrounding area including old mines The scenery is breathtaking and the wildlife includes deer, elk, and turkey. Every day is like being on vacation.
