We had a wonderful girls weekend trip to Leland. The Leland Lake Cottage was perfect. Comfortable, clean, spacious, and a beautiful yard overlooking the river. We shopped, we drank wine, and had lots of laughs.

Wonderful summer getaway

We loved this place! Our boys thoroughly enjoyed being so close to the water and the amount of space they had to roam.

This is a lovely cottage with beautiful backyard view of the river. We enjoyed the outdoor spaces both in am with our coffee and the evening at sunset.There is plenty of space and the kitchen is very well equipped. Had everything one could possibly need. The hosts are very kind when we spoke to them directly before our trip to ask a few questions. This is a home they care about deeply and it shows!The cute town called fishtown is walkable and we enjoyed shopping and a very nice dinner at the restaurant on the river!Thank you for a lovely experience!

Tranquil and comfortable riverfront home

Our family enjoyed our stay at the Leland River House, it is spotless and comfortable. We rented kayaks and had them delivered to the property to enjoy the lake. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely!

We had a wonderful family vacation at the Leland River Cottage. The location was perfect, and we enjoyed swimming off the dock and enjoying the water. We can't wait to return!

Great Family Location

Great place for a family to stay in Leland. Grandkids loved swimming in the river every day, and being able to walk into town for shopping and food. Highly recommend. We have stay here twice. loved it each time.

Getaway

Cute place on the channel. Kids can swim, not to deep. We rented a paddle board and kayak from a local shop. You can walk to town (10-15 min walk). The place was clean and the check out process is easy. Also good communication from the owner. Thanks

Great location and very relaxing.

The location on the river couldn't have been better! The yard is surrounded by trees, giving you lots of privacy and making it feel like you're in the woods while just minutes from town. Sitting in the house or in the yard watching the river was super relaxing. There is WiFi at the house, but if you want to be disconnected from the world, don't use it and you can pretend to be off grid, as there is very little cell service in Leland. This was the perfect weekend getaway for relaxing and recharging!

Leland River Cottage

Relaxing stay on the Leland River. Great location to beaches, wineries, and Fishtown. Everything you need for a great vacation in Northern Michigan. This was our third time staying here and each time has been very enjoyable. Always look forward to returning.

Great location.

Very comfortable house within easy walking distance of the center of Leland. But especially wonderful to sit on the back lawn along the river and watch the boats travel up and down. Kids can play in the water off the dock. Absolutely wonderful place to spend a summer vacation.

Relaxing Long Weekend

The property is exactly as described in the listing - a 4-bedroom house on the short river that joins Lake Leelanau with Lake Michigan. It is in good shape, with a cozy, cottage vibe; the grounds were in excellent shape, with a mowed lawn, freshly planted flowers (in mid-June), and no weeds to be seen. The town of Leland is a ten-minute walk away, as is Van's Beach on Lake Michigan. (Unfortunately, there were a lot of dead alewives stinking up the Lake Michigan beach while we were there - unpleasant, but just something that occasionally happens.) We were up there for four nights - five adults and a two-year old - and we had a very relaxing time, which is just what we were lookng for.

We had a wonderful stay at this home on the Leland River! The house was extremely clean, organized and welcoming! We loved the access to the river and the short walk to town.

Cute cottage!!

We stayed at this cute cottage for a long weekend with friends and had a great stay! The house was what we expected. We were all very comfortable and loved the view! It’s very simple with no frills. We didn’t need much because we were exploring the area. We would recommend this place for the view and location alone!

Leland River Cottage

Second time staying at the river cottage. Just as good as the first! Everything we needed for an enjoyable week in Northern Michigan. We rented a SUP from Harbor House and enjoyed relaxing paddles up and down the river. Also toured the wineries and enjoyed the beach and shopping in town. Great location and relaxing setting on the river.
