Min fru och jag har slutfört den fyraåriga restaureringen av ett tysk bondgård 1890 strax utanför New Ulm, Texas.

Det är 1. 5 miles från New Ulm, 1. 6 Miles från The Vine, 16 miles från Fayetteville, och cirka 20 miles från Round Top. Ny Wi-Fi

Landshuset ligger inbäddat i skogen på 19 tunnland med en damm och vandringsbroar, vandringsleder och massor av vilda djur.

Huset, 2000 kvadratmeter, har nio rum och en veranda med gungstolar med utsikt över ett damm, och har ett stort sovrum med king size-säng, och ytterligare två sovrum, vardera med två enkelsängar, ett komplett kök och rymligt vardagsrum. Antika möbler finns i varje rum. Huset är ganska stort.

Ligger bara 20 mil från Round Top (och närliggande Warrenton och Carmine) och den halvårliga Texas Antique Festival, 30 miles från La Grange och MS 150 Fair Grounds, 6 miles från industrin (Lindemann General Store och Dollar General) - MS 150 passerar rätt genom Industry, 22 miles från Bellville (MS 150 stannar där för lunch), 8 miles från The Falls Golf Course and restaurant, 3 miles from New Ulm, Texas Star Cafe, Hometown Hardware, 23 miles from Fayetteville and flera restauranger, 18 miles från Columbus och massor av butiker och restauranger, 22 miles från Brenham och Blue Bell Ice Cream hem, 15 miles från Cat Spring och Carol's Kitchen (bra fin restaurang), 12 miles från Frelsburg och det berömda 120 året gamla Hiensohn's Country Store.

Wonderful property with historic and cozy feel on private wooded acreage but felt very private. Quickly accessible from Houston and close to towns such as Brenham and Columbus for shopping. Highly recommend The Vault in New Ulm for drinks and ambience. Loved this property and look forward to returning.

This place was absolutely perfect. Nestled in the woods for complete privacy. It was clean comfortable and over the top accommodating. Richard our host was available at any given time for questions or suggestions on things to do. Thank you Richard we can’t wait to come back

The Old Farmhouse is Fabulous

A terrific experience from start to finish. Our host was personable and helpful all the way through and the old farmhouse is charming and up-to-date and a wonderful, relaxing place to spend a few days especially if you have a wedding or if you want to go to the tasting room at the Vine, which is right next-door.

Round Top Work Trip

Four of us stayed at this property for nearly three weeks while we sold antiques at the Round Top Market.First let me say the Host is fantastic... easy to reach and very helpful.The house is very clean and has everything you need. The house combines a historic property with modern conveniences in a secluded setting. Do not hesitate to book this property.

We loved the 1890 Farmhouse

Charming property! Great all the way around. The owner communicated with me by phone & text several times which was so appreciated! The home was clean and well stocked with all the necessities (including AC). Four girlfriends (3 from out of state) joined me so we could have girlfriend time and attend the Round Top Antiques Fair. We love old houses so the Farmhouse fit the bill! So quiet there and sits on a beautiful rural property. Definitely a great place to stay that feels like home!

10//10 Definitely a winner

First of all pictures of the farmhouse just don’t do it justice! We stayed three nights & shopped Round Top it’s a perfect place to relax. I absolutely love the fact they took the time & labeled the kitchen cabinets & drawer's , so you’re not searching for anything. ( genius ) You can also see the time they take in maintaining the home . Honestly it’s extremely clean and feels clean , the kitchen was stocked with coffee . It’s most definitely a place I’d 100 % recommend and would stay at again . The owner Richard was out of town while we were there , but took the time to text and check on us making sure everything was going great & if we needed anything. 10/10 The 1890 Farmhouse is a winner, don’t hesitate to rent it .

Beautiful farmhouse with very peaceful surroundings. Perfect location for The Vine wedding venue. Richard is a very helpful and informative host. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, spotlessly clean. Highly recommended.

Tranquil surroundings

What a. beautifully decorated old farmhouse!! This home was tucked back in the woods; providing privacy and tranquility. Located just two short miles from The Vine and it’s winery. Richard, the owner, was very helpful and responsive to all my questions. We would highly recommend staying in this well preserved farmhouse!

Perfect family retreat

From the communication with the owner to the quaint house, this was a fabulous experience for us. The beds are extra comfortable, the house has great amenities, and it is very charming. The kitchen had everything we needed. The views outside are superb. We really enjoyed sipping on a nice cup of coffee while listening to the birds and the nice breeze. A great place to unplug from the busy world, and reconnect with eachother. Thank you so much for making our stay so perfect!

Great place and experience! Just as described.

It was peaceful, secluded and immaculately clean. We sat out on the porch each day. It was also a reasonable drive to Round Top and the antiques fair. It was perfect for two couples but would also for three. We would stay here again.

Nice quiet weekend in a wonderful farm house

The pictures don’t do justice to this place. It is so nice and appropriately decorated to the period. It is comfortable and so very quiet. Fishing opportunities are great and the property is interesting to explore. The host is very attentive and has incredibly stocked the house with so many extras you can tell his passion is to make sure that everyone enjoys their stay. The price is also a great value. Don’t pass on this one,
