I en privat park på nästan 30 hektar, korsas av en liten flod, har slottet hålls intakt sin gamla charm samtidigt uppgraderas till modern komfort.
Att besöka: De många små byar i området, med sina romanska kyrkor, Saint Savinien och vattennivån ordnas för barn, båtturer på Charente till Saintes att upptäcka slotten sett vatten, städerna Saintes och Saint Jean d'Angely (marknad med regionala specialiteter) ytterligare odds med Marennes (fiskrestauranger ur vattnet samma morgon), städerna Rochefort (kunglig rep), La Rochelle Stränderna i den vilda kusten, öarna Ré, Oléron, Aix, kuststaden Royan (casino). I en radie av slotten av Roche Courbon, Crazannes, DOUHET s, Panloy 15 km. Inåt Cognac land och dess källare.
Byggt 1830, är slottet en del av en fastighet som inte har förändrats familj i 200 år. Det är en mysig familj hem förblev äkta och hela generationer.
Regionen är en av de soligaste i Frankrike och känd för sina stränder och de berömda öarna Ré och Oléron.
Region gamla traditioner, anmärkningsvärda för sin arkitektur med sina vackra städerna La Rochelle, Rochefort, Saintes och Saint Jean d'Angely, romanska kyrkor förlorade på landsbygden och små byar med vita stenar.

Family/friends get together

The property was immaculate, the beds comfortable, the kitchen well appointed. In general this was a wonderful stay in a beautiful property. The caretakers are wonderful and responsive.

Christmas vacation

We had an amazing family vacation with four generations, and this spacious and comfortable mansion was perfect for all of us. Everyone had their own space to relax, but the common areas were ideal for gathering and making memories together. The property was clean, welcoming, and well-maintained, making our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for large family getaways!

Superb Chateau, full of charm, a superb and caring host - a wonderful stay!

Beautiful family chateau, plenty of space. Large rooms downstairs for entertaining, relaxing and playing pool. Two kitchens, with all the facilities you would expect including a plethora of utensils.. All Main bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and all with baths. Pool is a short walk from the rear of the chateau and the grounds are fabulous with a stream and a boat. The local supermarket is only a 5 minute drive and there are plenty of beautiful villages and towns nearby. Arnaud the host and everyone involved were fantastic and ever so helpful when we stayed there. Fabulous place!

Great family vacation

Amazing stay at a great property. We were a 3 generational party of 15 (Ages 11 - 78). Plenty of space with all bedrooms having their own bathroom. Kitchen and dining space were excellent for large family meals as well as grazing through the day. Lots of cooking equipment if that is your thing. Pool was a good size and really well maintained with daily visits from the pool maintenance team. We had great weather all week. Great outdoor space for a BBQ on a nice evening as well. Supermarket just 5 mins away and local town has a selection of smaller shops. Clear dark skies at night - best view we have had of the Milky Way in years! Lots of owls at night when we were there. A character property which was fun to stay in.

A 6 Star Experience

We visited with three families, 14 people in total, and every individual enjoyed this stay extraordinarily. You feel the historical aura of this château, and, given that it's still in caring family hands, that you are not lacking a single thing in your everyday vacation life, from grand Bialettis through table tennis rackets. We were lucky to make Monica & Arnaud’s acquaintance, that left us deeply impressed with their warm-heartedness and their sense of beauty, valuing old items such as the restored, antique billiard table that was enjoyed by the teenagers with considerable due respect. The castle was clean, the private pool even cleaned every single morning. The concierges, Isabelle and her husband were there whenever required. We enjoyed the opulent bedrooms, each featuring its own bath. Two fully-equipped, large kitchens with wide gas stoves and ovens, a veritable BBQ — any meal to think of can easily be prepared, and we relished a few, surrounded by the estate’s serene, green hills and age-old trees. The children would gleefully play soccer all afternoon on the wide lawns. For fleeting moments, we felt that the château had been our very own. If we wrote how much we liked this, we’ll likely never have a chance of coming again ;) Un profond, grand merci et un chaleureux “au revoir” à Monica et Arnaud!

So much space!

We were 8 adults and 7 children, with bedrooms configured as: 1st floor, 4 doubles with en suite inc wc and a twin with separate wc. 2nd floor: 2 twins and a triple. 2 bathrooms inc wc. On the ground floor was a separate wc, kitchen, dining room (seats 16 well), 2 living rooms (1 inc pool table) and a study (which we didn’t use). Outside we had space that was plentiful and a good sized pool. Including a good sized flat area we used for cricket. Things to note: 1. There is a EUR2000 deposit. It was returned but do plan for it. 2. It is a 5 minute drive to a local supermarket 3. There is a table tennis table with old, but useable, bats in the basement. 4. There is a BBQ and outside dining for 16. But we couldn’t find outside lighting. 5. There is enough crockery for 20 + but the knives are not sharp. 6. There is a washing machine and dishwasher. 7. There are 8 sun loungers. 8. There is 1 TV. We only used it for the odd kids movie of an evening as there is plenty else to do. With a group that large we struggled to stagger showers/baths as the water pressure, particularly to the top floor, was poor. Probably not surprising given the age and size of the property but we didn’t plan for it on day 1 and got caught out. We got more organised after that. We drank bottled water after day 1 too as one of our group got ill. We don’t know if that was over cautious or not but we did. We would return as for a group holiday the property had everything we wanted.

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour avec des chambres bien préparées. Quelques petits soucis de maintenance signalés à votre représentante mais rien de bien sérieux. La maison est très agréable avec beaucoup de matériels ce qui n'est pas toujours le cas dans les locations saisonnières.

Chateau

The chateau is lovely and tranquil, set in its own acres of park land. The swimming was used by our family on a daily basis. Well equipped for our large family but could do with updating of some of the utensil, however cleanliness was lacking in all areas. Out of 8 bedrooms only 2 had wardrobes so we lived out of suitcases for two weeks not ideal. A problem with being charged twice for a change mid week of towels and bedding was rectified quickly and to our satisfaction. Overall a fantastic family holiday had by all in the sun.

Great Chateau in beautiful park

We were an extended family group of 8 adults 4 children and 1 toddler. Plenty of space and every facility you could wish for. Lovely pool and BBQ area. Property info was very out of date making Checkout a mystery ie no mention of 0900 departure time! Also name and phone numbers out of date and map pin for directions wrong. None of this took away our enjoyment though.

Fantastische locatie. Heerlijk huis en zwembad. Vriendelijke en cooperatieve gastheer en medewerkster. Barslechte samenwerking met VBRO. Ik vraag mij af of zij te te vertrouwen zijn. Alleszins, ik boek NOOIT meer met hen.

week end famille

endroit parfait pour notre week end (nous étions 14). Tout le nécessaire pour permettre à des ado et de jeunes enfants de s'occuper : cabane dans les arbres, piscine, terrain immense pour le foot le cache cache, salle de billard, et petites pièces sympa pour laisser aux plus vieux la possibilité de se mettre au calme ; et des animaux à découvrir ( lièvre chevreuil ragondin....). Tout le monde a adoré Un grand merci à Isabelle

Merveilleux moments en famille dans un cadre magnifique

Nous n'avons pas vu le temps passé. Beaucoup de jeux à disposition en plus de la piscine (un peu fraîche en cette saison 😉). Nous n'avons pas ressenti le besoin de sortir de la propriété. Lieu idéal pour un séjour en famille.

Première expérience dans un chateau

Location parfaite pour un groupe .quelques imperfections du à l âge du chateau(grincements de portes quelques insectes indésirables, chaleur excessive dans les chambles)mais à part ces quelques deconvenus,le château était féerique le parc immense,la piscine grande et agréable. A recommander pour un groupe pas trop regardant et avide d aventure moyennageuse

Très bel hébergement

Tout est parfaitement conforme au descriptif. Les chambres sont très grandes avec SdB, le séjour spacieux et la cuisine comporte tout ce qui est nécessaire. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.

One of our favourite French Houses

We are an extended family of 14 to 20 (between the young and the elderly) that have holidayed together in France for more than 15 years. We look for relaxed elegance, a house that allows us to function both as a group and individuals .... and with grounds to do the same. We enjoy being ever-changing groups of individuals during the day whilst we typically come together en masse for meals. This has proved to be perfect for our needs. And we found the on-site staff and the visit of the owner enhanced our enjoyment The interior of the house appeared to have been freshly decorated and we couldn’t fault it. The ground floor was spacious with interconnecting rooms that were often used during the day because we arrived during Frances hottest ever period. some of us might be reading on the terrace, some reading indoors or doing a jigsaw, some playing pool, and some catching up on the guitar. Each of us could make a choice without disturbing the others while still feeling connected to the overall group. The owners kindly went out and bought us fans for each room. Quibbles?.... there are conflicts between the pricing and terms on the website and the detailed contract provided after booking. The owner though was happy to listen and made the right decision and deleted the unexpected charge. It would be appropriate if the area around the pool were upgraded to the standard of the beautifully decorated interior of the house. We were probably the first visitors of the season but the pool surround needed weeding and the pool liner could have been cleaner . Although there were some poolside umbrellas we took our own gazebo to provide full shade by the pool ....we feel that a house of this quality should have permanent shade by the pool which would also greatly increase its atmosphere We were very satisfied overall and we can thoroughly recommend it

Excellent week end!

Excellent sejour entre amis

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à 5 familles. Les parents comme les enfants ont bcp aime leur séjour et Mary en charge de notre accueil / départ est très sympathique.

Vie de château

Propriété de caractère,très agréable. Un confort moderne ds un intérieur plein de charme et de souvenir d'une autre époque. Un saut ds un roman du XIXe ! Cuisine très bien équipée pour préparer les repas . Accueil très sympathique et professionnel par Marie. Un lieu à consommer sans modération !
