The property was very well equipped and great for a large family. The “creek” wasn’t really accessible so we had some disappointed littles who wanted to play in the creek. The only other issue, which may not be controllable was that the sewage smell was overwhelming during a heavy rain. In spite of the rain, we had a great time.

Thank you for your kind words about how well-equipped Yellow Creek Lodge is for large families! We strive to give every guest a 5-star stay, and I'm sorry we fell a little short during your stay. A rainy day certainly didn't help! A pulp mill several miles away can occasionally leave an odor in the air, but thankfully it usually dissipates quickly. While there is a small creek on the property, the vegetation makes it inaccessible most of the year. I'm sorry your little ones were disappointed! I hope your family enjoyed the old-fashioned swings, some friendly competition around the pool table, and the beautiful evening weather around the firepit. Most of all, I hope you made wonderful family memories. Thank you for choosing Yellow Creek Lodge!

The kitchen was roomy and the house was roomy for a big family. We were able to drive down to the water which helped immensely and parking was plentiful and flat ground with only 1 short set of stairs to the door.

A perfect family vacation spot!! Our kids and grandkids all had a wonderful time at YCL. We couldn’t have asked for a more accommodating and hospitable host. We hope to return again!!! The boathouse was great to hop on the boat and spend the day on the lake. The kitchen was fully stocked and accommodated our large family. The beds were comfortable and each family had their own bathroom. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!!

We had a wonderful family reunion and birthday celebration at this Great house! It was clean, spacious, easy to access and had a boathouse for our pontoon - an all around Fantastic stay! I highly recommend this house for your vacation stay!

We loved the place. The guys really enjoyed the grill house. We had our families Thanksgiving there. And Sherri the owner was very helpful and accommodating.

Family vacation 2025

We had a wonderful time at this property. It was beautiful on the back deck and at the fire pit area. We had easy access to the lake. Everyone was comfortable and we had everything we needed during our stay. I would come back again and I would definitely recommend to other families looking for a special spot in the Pickwick area.

Weekend Get Away

This property is very clean and a great layout with plenty of bedrooms and living areas. The kids loved the pool table and the big deck is a great spot to relax after a long day on the lake. The covered boat slip is perfect for your fishing boat and pontoon.

Great host

This host does a good job of providing instructions for everything associated with your stay, right down to using the grill! The host was also available if we had any questions. If we are ever in the area, we would certainly stay here again!Also, I left an item at the lodge and they sent shipped it back to me!

Retirement Celebration/65th birthday

We loved the house and the location. We had a great time playing pool in the evenings after a day boating on the lake. We hope to stay there again in the future. Thank you for opening up your home to renters, it was the perfect place for us!!

Family Vacation at Pickwick

I would highly recommend this cabin. It was big enough for our whole family, 10 people and had a swing for the little ones. The kitchen and baths seem to be newly remodeled. The backyard is magically with the fire pit perfect for s'mores and catching fire flies. We also enjoyed the boathouse. This property truly has something for everyone. 10 out of 10!

Another Great Week @ YCL

We had another great time at YCL with family and friends. Stayed for 4 nights and had everything we needed for adults and young kids. House is set up well for multiple families and the large yard, fire pit, swing set, parking area, etc. worked out perfect. Sherrie was a great host and helped us out a ton. Highly recommend!!!

This rental was outstanding! We came in from Florida arriving early,called the owner Sherri and we were able to check in after driving 11 hours straight on the road..The house had everything and than some,we had 5 adults 3 children and still plenty of room, wonderful safe neighborhood, and everything you need to entertain is at the house!wonderful owners,5 star place,

Family Fishing Weekend

This home was perfect for our family, multigenerational, to meet up and enjoy the weekend together. The ages ranged from 4 to 65 and all in between. We brought 2 fishing boats and utilized the boat house. We have plenty of room to gather, play games, eat, and just visit and make memories.

We recently stayed at this property on Pickwick Lake for a combined guys’ trip and a hangout for my son and his friends, and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place was designed for making memories.The layout is absolutely perfect for groups. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out comfortably, and the large entertainment area inside was a huge hit. Being able to relax, watch TV, and play pool all in the same space after a long day on the lake was exactly what we needed.Outside is where this place really shines. The back porch is fantastic for grilling and hanging out—we cooked pork chops one evening and just soaked in the atmosphere. The fire pit area quickly became our nightly gathering spot, where we spent hours talking, laughing, and just enjoying the moment.Down by the water, the boathouse setup was ideal. We rented a boat and had easy access to the lake, which made the whole experience seamless. The swings near the water were a big hit with the teenage boys—they spent a ton of time down there just having fun and being kids.Overall, this place delivered on every level: comfort, entertainment, and location. It created the perfect environment for bonding, relaxing, and making unforgettable memories. We had an incredible time and would absolutely come back.Five stars all the way.

Getaway with the Feel of Home

This was our 3rd stay at Yellow Creek Lodge. I will always choose this home whenever we visit Pickwick Lake. It is equipped with everything you would find in your own home and the spacious layout is all on one level. It is not a new, modern home; however, the kitchen and one of the bathrooms has been very tastefully remodeled. Lots of large windows provide beautiful views of the secluded, wooded property. The appeal of this home is its rustic features, spaciousness, and location. It also has a large deck which accommodates a large group and a fire pit below with adirondack chairs surrounding it!
