Wonderful stay!

This view was unbeatable, and much more quiet than staying on the boardwalk area. Communication was great, and the place was stocked with everything we needed. Definitely would stay again!

Annual SD getaway!

This was our third year at this rental and have already booked 2025! We cannot beat the location and the direct oceanfront proximity. Sunsets from the deck are an every night thing!

Pacific Beach Paradise

This was an amazing property with the best location ever. There were 3 of us and we all had our own bedroom with plenty of room. The location was nice and not in a popular or crowded area, which made the stay even better. Mary was gracious and provided us with a nice overview of the property and the restaurants/shopping around us.

Great Location

Ocean view and beach access was supreme. The off street parking provided for this busy area was a real plus. While the key feature was the deck overlooking the ocean, the furniture and deck were looking worn-out. The kitchen, bedrooms and toys for the beach, including bikes were all welcome benefits and in great condition. No need to bring anything to enjoy this oceanfront property.

In plain sight yet a hidden gem! ❀

My two sisters and a friend stayed at this beautiful VRO! Our first day all of us decided to come here again. We were so excited with the serenity, ocean view and gorgeous sunrises and sunsets! Mary and Gina went above and beyond with answering all my questions including providing a list of eateries! The VRO has everything you need even binoculars 😊 which was a pleasant surprise! When you can go on vacation and not have to worry about anything, but packing your clothes is true relaxation! This was my very first time staying at a VRO and I must say they set the bar really high! 😂 I definitely will be back here next year!

Excellent Location and Views

We are a family of 5 adults and this home worked perfectly for us. You can’t beat the location right across the street from the beach. The elevated deck overlooking Pacific Beach is the star of this home. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck watching the surfers and sunsets. It’s just a short walk down to the beach. Very thoughtful that all the amenities you could need for the beach are provided: towels, chairs, umbrellas, coolers, boogie boards, etc. Short walk to restaurants and groceries. Mary is an excellent host. Met us at check-in and gave us excellent recommendations for dinners. We will definitely be back here.

Best Pacific Beach Location!!!!

Our family of five stayed 5 (with a two year old grandaughter) stayed 5 nights in this condo. We had a fabulous time. The location is perfect for quick or long trips to the beach. The condo is situated in a quaint neiborhood away from the crowds. The condo comes with everything you need to enjoy the beach! (chairs, umbrella, toys, towels etc) Mary,the property manager, attends to all your needs. She communicates with you and is always available if you have any questions. This is our third time staying in this condo and believe me we will be back next year!

Absolutely gorgeous view with a short walk to beach!

My husband and I have been bringing our 2 kids to Pacific/Mission Beach for the last 4 years and we typically stay a few blocks from the beach. We splurged this year to stay closer to the beach and boy, was it worth it. The views alone were absolutely incredible. Having the entire balcony to ourselves, was wonderful. 3 separate rooms w/ beds allowed for everyone to get a good night sleep. We were only .5 mile from restaurants and shops that were conveniently located. The parking spot in the driveway was an added bonus and made loading/unloading super easy. Access to beach chairs, sand toys and bikes was really nice and allowed us to not have to worry about packing all of that. It was a great property and we hope to stay again in the future!

Amazing views!!! Very comfortable home!

We absolutely loved this property! Normally we leave the condos a lot and explore. This time we stayed at the condo mostly because you can’t beat that view! We had everything we needed in the condo! It was such a easy walk down to the beach and very easy to get to restaurants! Waking up to the sound of the ocean every day was amazing! The private driveway was a huge plus and also having all the bikes and beach toys already there! It made our traveling much easier! Mary is a delight and responds right away to any questions! We absolutely loved it here and will definitely be back! Thank you!

Pleasant, Relaxing Stay

The property was very clean and the hospitality was great! The manager even provided our favorite coffee. The property was very comfortable and met our need of three bedrooms in a beachfront location. It also was close to almost all of the other locations we visited. The only downside was that the furnishings were worn. The picture of the deck and furnishings in the listing did not match what was really there. Although comfortable, they were very worn. The master bedroom dresser had unusable drawers and some of the metal on furnishings was rusty from the salty air. The building itself needed some repairs s well. We understand that it is hard to maintain beachfront properties due to the salty air. We would still recommend it, and our adult son said that he might try to stay there again in the future.

Not very pleased

Ac unit stopped working after second night with no remedy, help, communication or compensation. I require the basics. Heat, ac, hot running water and a working toilet. When one does not work with children it is a disaster. Not very pleased and will never rent from again.

Spectacular Ocean View

Our group of four adults just returned from a fantastic stay at this comfortable, lovely property at North Pacific Beach. The upstairs apartment is in a small building in a very nice established residential neighborhood overlooking the beach. The ocean view is incredible; we saw porpoises, pelicans, as well as surfers and wind surfers. We were steps away from a set of stairs with handrails down to the long beach. Heading south you can walk for a few miles. Our group had plenty of room with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The primary bedroom has its own bathroom. The newer kitchen and bathrooms are well appointed, We were able to cook in the kitchen just fine. We had space to sit at the kitchen counter, and the living room fit the 4 of us very comfortably. The natural light comes into the living room from the south and west, making this a very cheery space. Coming from the Seattle area in February, this was just what we were looking for. Spending time on the private deck enjoying the sun and view was amazing. This property location is a very convenient jumping off point for sightseeing. Less than 30 minutes south to downtown SD, a few more to get out to Coronado Island. Or go north to visit Torrey Pines Nature Reserve in less than 30 minutes. Beautiful La Jolla is about a 10 minute drive. Numerous good restaurants are close by and food choices are varied. If you you are in need of anything, let the manager, Mary, know. She is extremely helpful, and very responsive. We came in a couple days before the big windstorm, which damaged the deck windbreak a bit. Mary was there quickly to check the damage and had the handyman there in no time. We would definitely stay at this property again and highly recommend it.

Property needs a renovation and upgrade BADLY!

Let me start with the good things. The property manager is a nice lady and you can tell she does what she can to make the stay comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked if you like to cook and you can tell they’ve updated it within the last 10 years. The bathrooms as well. The view of mission beach is wonderful. That said, the management company can only do so much with the hand they’ve been dealt. So the bad stuff. Everything else looks like it hasn’t been updated since the 80’s. The couch and beds were a bit icky to me since they were so old. Bedding and the bed itself made me cringe inside. The carpet and the flooring really needs to be pulled and redone. Kinda sticky. They want you to remove your shoes but I just didn’t feel comfortable walking around in bare feet. The house itself is REALLY run down. The balcony tilts to one side and make me concerned about its safety. The outside of the home is really run down, cracked, not really cared for, structurally and aesthetically. Bubble gum and duct tape kind of maintenance. On the inside, walls were cracked, floors uneven, places where they’re was water damage that haven’t been repaired. The walls were so thin you can hear every time a toilet flushed in the building or someone laughed. It felt unsafe and definitely not the kind of place you’d expect at the price. I was a bit embarrassed that I had chosen this place and I brought my family there. I felt like I had to keep apologizing for the place. BIG regrets!

Spectacular location! My wife and I (and later, our little family) have been coming to San Diego since 2010. We have stayed on Sunset Cliffs or the Pac Beach boardwalk every time before this trip (about once a year). I can’t remember what made us look closer to La Jolla, but I’m so happy we did. Not only are the views incredible and unobstructed, but the location feels like a “locals” community. Each night at sunset, the neighborhood quietly came together on the little frontage street by the house and enjoyed a collective moment of indescribable beauty before separating out into the world again. Truly a magical experience. Beyond that nightly ritual, the beach access is steps away and there were plenty of toys to use there. The house itself was very nice and clean. Our four-person family fit comfortably; each kid with their own space, and another for my wife and myself. Finally, but certainly not least, our host, Mary, was an absolute gem. She was informative and so accommodating; from being there when we checked in for a quick walkthrough to being easily accessible if we needed anything. If the property and location weren’t enough to bring us back (which they absolutely are), Mary would be the cherry on top that would cement it for us. We aren’t sure yet when we’ll return, but this spot just jumped to the top of our list when we set up the next visit’s plans. Thank you, Mary. Thank you, San Diego. Be seeing you soon.

Great location, the deck was awesome. The office has a door and is used as a 3rd bedroom. The host was very accommodating and made sure we were comfortable. They were also very responsive to our requests. We had a great time despite the unusually cool weather in August.

Perfect Beachfront Family Getaway !

We had an absolutely incredible stay at this San Diego condo! The location is unbeatable—just steps from the beach and within walking distance to amazing shops, restaurants, ice cream, and more. It was perfect for our family, especially with a toddler in tow.The condo itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable with all the amenities we could possibly need. From beach towels and toys to strollers and gear, they truly thought of everything to make our stay easy and fun. The patio overlooking the ocean was a dream—we spent countless hours just relaxing and taking in the stunning views.While the internet was a little slow at times, it didn’t take away from the experience. The quiet dead-end street made it feel peaceful and safe, and it was still super convenient to access the boardwalk and all the major San Diego attractions.A huge shoutout to the property manager who was incredibly organized, helpful, and full of fantastic recommendations for local food and activities.We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and are already looking forward to coming back!
