The home is modern and very spacious. Weather was too cool to use the pool, but it looked nice. Kitchen and pleasant eating area were well stocked and very clean. The master bedroom was spacious and had shelves for unpacking. The other "bedroom" is really an office, with a very low cot (not a bed) and no dresser or space for unpacking, and sliding doors that lack privacy. There is a wood wardrobe, full of blankets, etc that were just thrown in -- no room for clothes. The room would be fine for kids but was quite uncomfortable for seniors. There is an additional bedroom with twin beds for children.Bathrooms were fine, though one has the shower in the tub, very difficult to get in and out.There is a cluttered laundry, which was dirty when we arrived. We cleaned it as best we could, emptied the water pan in the dryer, etc.This is a nice property in need of some amenities to make it more appealing for older adults. It would be fine for a family with children. The owner provided a good handbook for using the home. It would be nice if he added some very specific directions for the washer, dryer and microwave.If you are looking for a serviceable home for one or two younger families, this would do nicely. For four seniors, it was not ideal.Communication with the owner was excellent, and the location was a good base for exploring Provence.

Family stay

The villa with swimming pool is pleasant type "modern minimalist house", but it cannot be called a prestigious villa, because this appointment assumes much more characteristics. We had a good stay with our family, despite a very hot weather. The house is comfortable, quietly located and without vis-a-vis, although the panoramic view must be searched thoroughly of the land, which is not very well maintained. ( Not enough vegetation and a lot of pebbles). The kitchen is well equipped, but in bathrooms there is a lack of accessories to put toothbrushes etc. The beds in the rooms are quite smalls 
 especially for "a prestigious villa". The garage is not usable, because the door opening does not work. On the other hand, it is necessary to overhaul the lock of the house door, because the door opens quite difficult. In addition, the sun loungers around the pool are old and uncomfortable, some are a little broken. On the other hand, the concierges are kind and respond to possible requests. We thank them.

Great views!

Family of 6 stayed here with two young children and we were very pleased (especially with the children's room which was stocked with many toys). The unit was well stocked, clean, secure, and the pool was fantastic during the warm summer days! We were able to explore much of the area from here easily (we had a rental car). Would absolutely recommend this property.

Lovely Villa in Villeneuve-les-Avignon

We had a party of three stay in this spacious property. Plenty of private spaces within the villa. Beautiful views from the back yard of the property, fully furnished and within a gated community. The owners were responsive, attentive, gave detailed information regarding the property and area. The contact who met us at check-in gave us detailed information regarding the property and check-out procedures. The property had a parking space for our car rental. The location was near a grocery store and restaurants. The neighborhood was safe, quiet and lovely. We did not stay during pool season but enjoyed the stars at night. We will stay at this property again when visiting Avignon or a near by village. Many thanks to Greg and Laura.

Parfait séjour en famille hors saison

Nous avons passĂ© un excellent sĂ©jour d’une semaine en famille dans la maison. Elle est spacieuse et peut accueillir tout le monde avec tout le confort nĂ©cessaire. Nous avons particuliĂšrement aimĂ© le salon sĂ©jour et la cuisine ouverte. Le gros plus est la rĂ©sidence sĂ©curisĂ©e et l’emplacement. La vue est juste sublime !!! Le terrain de pĂ©tanque est agrĂ©able et les transats ont Ă©galement beaucoup servis. Bref, je recommande +++

A delightful property with marvellous view

The property is well situated for visiting Avignon and exploring the surrounding area of Provence. Villeneuve-les-Avignon has its historical charm. The villa is spacious and comfortable both indoor and outdoor; the neighbourhood is pleasant and quiet; a perfect place for a relaxing holiday. Impressively, it commands an unimpeded view over the town of Villeneuve, onto Avignon and the countryside beyond. The property owner is very helpful and friendly, and goes to great length to ensure that we have a wonderful experience while staying in the property. I will recommend this property without hesitation.

Wir waren mit 6 Erwachsenen unterwegs und haben 2 Wochen in dem Haus verbracht. Das Haus ist aber so sfrukturiert, dass jeder die Möglichkeit hat sich zurĂŒck zu ziehen Da das Haus etwas abseits liegt, hat man zwar eine wunderbare Ruhe, ist aber grds auf eub Auto angewiesen. Ein Supermarkt ist fußlĂ€ufig erreichbar, so dass die Grundversorgung gesichert ist, um Restaurants zu besuchen muss man mit den Auto los. Unterm Strich :alles super, wir empfehlen das Haus gerne weiter

Perfect getaway!

We as a family of 4, together with my mother, my brother and sister-in-law, stayed here in August 2022 after having rearranged twice due to Covid. The owner, Greg, was extremely understanding and accommodating regarding this and let us roll over the booking twice to the following year. It was well worth the wait! Lovely air-conditioned rooms (which were definitely needed as is very hot in August) in a modern house, beautifully furnished. It has an amazing pool which is where we spent most of our time either in or around. They also have a swing ball set and basketball hoop which helped to keep our two boys entertained for hours on end! Also had plenty of garden furniture and a gas bbq. The view from the garden is breathtakingly! The house is set in a gated community and is very private/secure, and not overlooked in any way. It is close to large Carrefour supermarket and a couple of smaller shops, a friendly bar and a pizza takeaway. There is also a bus stop a 5-minute walk from the property where you can take the number 5 bus route into Villeneuve-lùs-Avignon and further into Avignon. Both are also walkable (around 30 minutes/1 hour respectively) and are very beautiful. We enjoyed a lovely lunch at the Aubergine restaurant in Villeneuve-lùs-Avignon and saw lots of amazing sights. All in all, a fabulous family holiday in a beautiful villa, I’m sure we will be returning!

Nous avons passĂ© un sĂ©jour en famille tres agrĂ©able dans la maison de Greg. Elle est bien agencĂ©e et propre. Elle est Ă©galement tres bien situĂ©e d’un point de vue commerce (le carrefour est Ă  5/6 minutes Ă  pied) et pour visiter les environs c’est Ă©galement idĂ©ale. Malheureusement nous n’avons pas pu utiliser la piscine Ă  cause de la mĂ©tĂ©o mais elle donnait tres envie! Nous reviendrons sans hĂ©siter!

Nous avons été ravis lors de ce séjour en tous points : - communication avec le propriétaire qui à fait en sorte de préparer au mieux notre arrivée et notre séjour - accueil sur place, simple et sympathique - villa trÚs agréable, propre, proche de toutes commodités (centre commercial, boulangerie etc.), trÚs bien située (on loin du centre d'Avignon) et disposant d'une magnifique vue bien dégagée sans aucun vis à vis. Je recommande!

Dream house!

I think this is the first time Ithat at a rental for a vacation stay has exceeded my expectations! Greg could not have been more accommodating regarding the changes in our plans that were necessitated by the continuing pandemic. It was a pleasure 2 to experience the charm of old Provence and come back to the beauty and convenience of modern Provence. It was even possible for us to stay there comfortably without a car. Taxi Avignon is excellent and everything you need from food to money is a short walk away.

Good location with a some lack of cosiness

House is well situated for visits of Avignon and a lot of nearby sightseeing. Well equipped with practical interior. Cleaning of big windows and terrace could have been better. Some lack of cosiness regarding outside area, e.g. only very basic furniture, almost no plants or bloomers on the terrace

Idéalement située pour visiter la région

Maison idĂ©alement situĂ©e, proche des commerces et des visites. Belle vue dommage que la piscine ne soit pas chauffĂ©e car non utilisĂ© sur la semaine de location car trop froide ce qui donne un rapport qualitĂ© prix un peu Ă©levĂ©. Le tarif pour le mĂ©nage devrait ĂȘtre dĂ©gressif en fonction du nombre d occupants.

Greg and Laura are both architects by training and fell in love with the view, so they decided to build their dream house there in 2009. We are now expatriates living in Asia with our 2 boys, where Greg is Managing Director for a construction materials subsidiary of a multinational company.
