Location is perfect. House is beautiful, has a fantastic view, is quiet yet close to everything. Tiffany was really responsive and helpful. We enjoyed so much our relaxing stay at Nosara!

The place is amazing and do not hesitate to book! The views are breathtaking, close to town and beaches, super quiet and safe. Both Moshe and Tiffany were super responsive and easy to communicate with. Family of 4 with two boys and can’t wait to return!!

Excellent home for vacation

Good instructions to arrive and a great vacation home for our family. Great for our older kids who want some privacy but good for adults as the home has great places to congregate and enjoy your stay. Located in an excellent part of Costa Rica with good food and lots of adventure.

Beautiful View

Stayed here for 24 nights. The neighborhood is safe and has security, paved road to the home which is huge in Guinoes! The landscaping on the property is beautiful, mango trees that the monkeys and lots of wildlife come to visit. The front yard of the home was perfect/flat/gated for my children to walk around and explore the grounds daily. Size of home was great for my family… 2 bedrooms in the main part of house and a 3rd guest bedroom with own entrance downstairs. The views from the balcony are beautiful, you can watch surfers from the patio and swim. Very quiet neighborhood. Although there is construction, I never heard any of it.

Paradise

We loved Villa Gullwing! The views were amazing. We saw howler monkeys and beautiful birds every day. The drive into town was very easy and there was plenty of parking near the beaches and in town. The house was very clean and the outside areas, including the pool, were beautifully maintained. After reading a previous review, we were initially concerned about potential security issues. We were sure to lock our valuables in the safe room and used the alarm, but we never had any problems and felt very safe!! Our only frustration was the dishwasher was not working as we had 7 people in our group. Other than that, the villa was fantastic, Hans was very responsive and helpful, and we would love to return one day!

We are happy you enjoyed our home. Unfortunately, we were not able to have the dishwasher repaired because it turned out that the necessary part was not available in a timely manner. Instead of waiting any longer we replaced it with a brand new one.

Beautiful property and location

We've been to Nosara for many years and thought we'd try a different location away from the town. The sunsets are spectacular from the house and it was only a short drive to the town/beach. They had shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and laundry detergent which was a nice bonus! The beds were really comfortable. We had a wonderful stay! I gave 3 out of 5 stars for the accuracy of the online listing because we booked this almost a year in advance. From that time to when we came to Nosara, the property was sold and updated. We didn't know that until a few weeks before we arrived. There was supposed to be a grill and the wood cabinets in the kitchen and murals in the rooms were gone. No cushions on the lounge chairs outside. In any case, it was a great house and the property manager Tiffany was really helpful!

beautiful place to relax

We had the pleasure of staying in Villa Gullwing for 4 nights in April, 2016. Reservations, communication with Hans, directions, house amenities were great. If you're not familiar with Nosara, it is a very quiet, non-touristy, yoga, back to basics kind of place. The surf is excellent. Beach is nice. There is a good store in Nosara (or in Nicoya) before you get there. The house was very comfortable. Sometimes we were just as happy to be sitting on the back porch with the pool and ocean for a beautiful view, listening to music on the bluetooth speakers, and just relaxing. We'd head to the beach in the late afternoon to surf and watch the sunset. We felt the house was safe and secure. There are wall air conditioners in each of the bedrooms that keep the rooms fairly cool (although the rooms would never get below about 24 or 25 degrees Celsius. That's about 77 degrees F.) So it's comfortable, but not sure why they wouldn't cool more than that. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay in this home. The relaxed vibe of the area grows on you. The house is affordably priced and could fit up to 6-10 people. I didn't see other places that I would rather have stayed. The pool really is unique and makes the house special. Thank you Hans for letting us stay.

Villa Gullwing, Playa Guiones , Nasara

Our living experience at Villa Gullwing was everything that we had hoped for and more. The property is well appointed, offers significant privacy, while being close to local beaches, restaurants and shopping. Personally, we didn't want to leave the property! Property Manager, Tiffany was friendly, very customer-focused, knowledgeable and accessible. We would definitely consider visting this lovely oasis again!

Thanksgiving get away

The property is set in a beautiful location, wonderful views! The house was originally rented with the thought of going with friends who had two kids. We had one of our own going! Last minute the other couple canceled. Which after arriving at the property we quickly realized it was for the best. In the original post on VRBO to house had two queens down stairs, and two kings upstairs (main living area) and if you had to you could have put a child on the couch. What we did not know, is that the two queens downstairs was on its own separate access. Meaning it only could be accessed by a sliding door. This was the area we had planned to put the kiddos. Once we arrived we were told that the house had been purchased recently and they had been getting the house ready for our stay! This bonus room downstairs was not finished for anybody to stay in, but in there defense they knew our friends had canceled! I feel they would have had the house ready if the other family was coming, but if you intend for younger kids to stay down there it is not accessible from the interior of the main living area! All in all you can’t beat the views! We saw monkeys, coati’s most days! The pool was very nice, good temp! The house is surrounded by jungle, nice and quite! The house is gated with a remote to open and close the gate! Property manager was super helpful!

Ahhh the view!!

Villa Gullwing is a wonderful escape from all the things in life. It was just 2 of us staying in the house and what a treat it was. The pool is wonderful and the view never disappoints. We used an ATV to get around Nosara. While this may not be ideal for many it was perfect for us. 10 minute ride to our favorite beach parking spot. 10 min ride to all of our favorite restaurants. The pictures do depict the house accurately and other reviews are spot on. The only issues we encountered was the water pressure when wanting a hot shower. We did learn to do a mix of all hot then some cold etc to get a shower that worked. I think if there were others in the house that may have been an issue to have multiple showers going at the same time. The Main TV was a smart TV and very easy to use. The blue tooth speakers on the patio were also easy to use and enjoyed daily. We did not cook any meals so I can not speak to that but there is an odd issue with the dishwasher door - it does not open all the way due to stove sticking out too far. Made loading dishwasher difficult - but since we did not cook it really did not affect us. Overall this is a wonderful house in a heavenly place!! I hope we will return.

Great stay for family/friends!

We loved our stay! The view never disappoints, and the listing was very accurate with what to expect. Located near a wildlife refuge, you can expect some furry, friendly visitors in the yard. Hans and Belitza were proactive in their communication and responsive to questions. We would absolutely stay here again.

Family Vacation

This is a great location, close enough to the action; but far enough from the dust and noise. You will need a rental car here. The property and house was wonderful, and the owners could not have been more accommodating. I would stay again without hesitation.

Ideal Vacation!

VIlla Gullwing was the perfect distance from town and included a gorgeous sunset and beach view every morning and afternoon/eve. One unexpected highlight was New Years Eve Fireworks! Howler monkeys visited us the last two mornings as well. The house was clean and beautiful. The door locks were a bit challenging at first, but we got used to them after the first day. Housekeeping made an extra effort to support our learning curve! Unfortunately, and likely due to the holiday, the garbage at the neighborhood corner was overflowing on the day we arrived and wasn't removed until the day before we left. Overall, a lovely place to stay and we would love to return soon. Hans was VERY responsive to our every need. Thank you for sharing your home.

Beautiful House with a fantastic view

Check-in and directions to the property were easy. The home itself was beautiful and spacious. The beds were amazingly comfortable. Overall the house was pretty clean, the coffee pot had an ant farm living in it so it was not able to be used and as a coffee drinker that was a big disappointment. The guards were friendly and helpful. The alarm on the house was not connected to a dispatch center and some of the cameras appear to have cut lines. The back patio doors would randomly lock so always have a key with you out by the pool. Water pressure was poor and the refrigerator had a terrible smell and did not keep very cold. All the things were pretty minor, overall I would still recommend.

Nice location in hills above beach.

House was comfortable, clean and kitchen offered all we required, but furnishings were dated and needed new cushions inside and outside. There were many high end electronics yet little instruction on how to use the many controls for the TV, etc. Hans was very responsive to all our requests and his caretaker was very nice and on site quickly. There is a great deal of house construction close by —even on the weekend. Due to understandable water conservancy, it was requested to limit flushing of toilet paper, Showers were difficult to control temperature and could use some updated shower head. The pool was nice and the view of the beach allowed us to watch numerous surfers on the beachs we saw from the house. The gravel roads in the area and drive from the south were extremely dusty for many miles and it took some doing to find the “town” for restaurants and shops. Overall, we enjoyed the location of the house and town. The people were all so friendly. Pura Vida.
