Perched over the beaches of Nerja Spain, 3L Tuhillo is the Mediterranean penthouse of your dreams. Stunning seafront views, spacious modern facilities, and all the comforts of home. Designed and furnished as a second home for the architect/owner's family, it's almost twice the size of any other apartment in the Tuhillo building. 180 sq m. - 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, laundry, a large, modern, fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops, two separate lounges (both seafacing), a front terrace directly overlooking the pool and the sea, as well as a huge 80 sq. m. private rooftop with sun loungers and a BBQ for dining under the stars. Year round Community garden and pool. Air conditioning/heating throughout. Plus high speed fibre optic internet/wifi. This third floor walk up is just a 6 minute stroll to the main town square, making a car an option, not a requirement. Due to the very special nature of this facility, rentals limited to 2-7 people.

Ideal for families, friends and couples, its generous indoor setup gives everyone loads of personal space. A Smart TV offers English and international programs (Netflix etc). Connect you Iphone or Ipad to the in-house stereo. You will also find a large library of books for beach or poolside reading. THE NEIGHBOURHOOD: Quiet residential district with a great little café on the corner. Any number of excellent restaurants, cafes, bars and shops are just a stroll away.

THINGS TO DO: Down on the beach there are water sports from kayaks and pedalos, to parasailing. Or enjoy a wood-fired paella at the “chiringuito” restaurants on Burriana beach. Take the kids to visit the famous Nerja Caves, or the pirate tower at Maro just down the coast! Wander the streets of Nerja, a typical Andalusian town and enjoy the atmosphere. Browse the Tuesday street market. Or Visit the Moorish fortification at nearby Almuñecar and Salobreña. More for the kids? Sea Life, the Selwo Dolphin show & Tivoli World, all at a drivable distance in Benalmadena; the water slide park at Velez Malaga, and even a crocodile farm. Tired yet? Wonderful location

Except the broken air conditioning on a few very hot nights, this place was wonderful. The hosts were responsive, location was ideal and the apartment was perfect for our small group. Pool was small but adequate and the beach is steps away. Views are out of this world from the balcony and rooftop deck!

Perfect Stay in Nerja

Well equipped apartment with fantastic views. Neatly situated between Nerja town and Burianna beach. Pool area relaxed and not over crowded. Host very good at communicating. Arranged our taxi pickups that went without a hitch. I would highly recommend.

Family Vacation

Our family of five had the perfect stay in Nora and Tim's extra-large condo. The views were unmatched and the location could not have been better for walking to our favorite restaurants. As with any stay, little things come up and Nora was very quick to respond and helpful throughout the trip with anything we needed.

Excellent stay

This place was beautiful. Lots of space for the whole family. The views from the balcony were incredible and the location perfect to explore the beach and town. Nora was an excellent host- she had great recommendations and was in contact with us during our entire stay to answer all of questions.

Family of 5 in Nerja

We felt like we had won the lottery when we arrived at the apartment. The space was wonderful with every need catered for. It’s in the heart of the old town so perfectly located for trips to the beaches and the bars. We particularly enjoyed barbecues on the roof in the evening.

Great location

We loved our stay because the apartment location was excellent, the view was outstanding and every bedroom had air-conditioning. Nerja itself is a lovely town with an abundance of restaurants shops and beaches. The host was excellent and answered any queries we had. I would highly recommend this apartment and Nerja.

A week here was not enough. Love, love, love!

Such a lovely penthouse. We could not have asked for a better place, right on the coast. Each morning, we'd wake up, go to the balcony and stand in awe at the views. The place was spotless with every amenity we could think of. The host was extremely helpful, providing tailored instructions just for our trip. My only regret is that we only booked 7 days. I wish it were 30 days. We can not wait to come back. Highly recommend you stay here.

Family week stay in Nerja

We chose this apartment based on location as we were travelling with parents who were both 80, and worried about the hills of Nerja. It worked out perfectly being right on the waterfront with easy access to both the beaches and main town. The apartment was very spacious, and equipped with everything we needed for a beach holiday. We particularly liked the balcony and roof terrace, and the hosts couldn't have been more helpful

Fabulous everything!

From our first enquiry to departure, this has been a stress free booking and a most enjoyable experience. The accommodation was clean, airy, really spacious, well equipped and comfortable. Tuhillo is just the best place to stay and this apartment was the icing on the cake! Breakfast or evening night cap on the balcony or rooftop with stunning views of the sea. A quiet neighbourhood but still central to all the wonderful restaurants and local supermarkets. Nora, our host, was great to communicate with us, making sure our check-in was problem free. Wonderful apartment with the most beautiful sea view

During a family trip in May/June 2023, we stayed in Nora and Tim's apartment. We had a wonderful vacation and would highly recommend it. In addition to being in a prime location just above Carabeillo and Burriana beaches, it is also close to Balcon de Europa and the town center with its narrow streets, beautiful shops, and excellent restaurants. There are four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two living rooms in this clean and spacious apartment. It also has a big roof terrace and a balcony with fabulous sea views. Nora and Tim are the best hosts, they answered all our questions and even arranged a taxi for us from the airport. We would love to stay with Tim and Nora again.

Mother-Daughters Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tuhillo 3L and absolutely fell in love with Nerja!! The views from the apartment are incredible, made all the more enjoyable with the ample comfortable patio furniture -- perfect for enjoying the sunrise with coffee or sunset with a gin & tonic. The kitchen was well-equipped and had everything we needed. Doing laundry was especially easy, given the multiple rooftop drying lines. We did not have a car and did not need one at all. Grocery stores, many many amazing restaurants and cafes, and lots of shopping are all within an easy, enjoyable, walking distance. The owners were very pleasant to work with. Check-in was seamless and easy (the owners even included a map with walking directions from the bus station since we were arriving by bus). We look forward to returning someday!!

Es hätte uns nicht besser treffen können

Die Kommunikation mit der Gastgeberin war absolut unkompliziert und freundlich. Sie hat alles perfekt für uns vorbereitet und arrangiert. Die Wohnung selbst ist live noch schöner als auf den Fotos. Der Ausblick ist wunderschön. Die Nähe zum Strand und in die Stadt so minimal das mal eben Ein oder etwas essen gehen mal eben möglich ist. Es war eine tolle Erfahrung. Vielen Dank dafür. kaufen

Super apartment in great location for the town and beach

We had a brilliant week in Nerja. The apartment was great, very spacious, the most stunning sea view and very well equipped. We had three generations staying and all were well catered for. The toys kept the kids well occupied between trips to the beach and pool and the kitchen/bbq facilities allowed us to cook some great food. The location is great for the beach, a short walk down the steps to the lovely fine pebble beach. The water is perfectly clear and we swam and snorkelled every day. The beach umbrellas provided were a great addition in the august sun. The pool was lovely, clean and warm. There was always loungers and plenty of shade provided by the trees if needed. The Balcon de Europa is about a 10 minute walk providing many options for shopping and restaurants. We thoroughly recommend this apartment and the hosts were very helpful.

Fantastic spacious apartment with great views

We were a party of seven (age range 12 to 70's), the apartment was fantastic and so spacious and It must have one of the best veiws in Nerja! It is also in my opinion perfectly placed as it is roughly the same distance to walk to either the older part of town or the main beach area, both have great restarants. Nerja has some fabulous places to eat and we always had great food. There is plenty of watersports from pedalos to para-sailing. The guys in our group went for a quad bike tour one morning and really enjoyed it. The Nerja caves are worth a visit (best to book in advance) and are just a bus ride away. Tim and Nora organised everything very efficiently and all went perfectly. Thank you so much. Jackie, Andy and family

Best apartment in Nerja?

We had a family reunion in Nerja during the easter week. As we were seven persons the size of the apartment was perfect, as everything else. The location in a calm environment close to the beach and the city center, the magnificent ocean view, the standard of the apartment, the terrasses was all even better than we expected. We are planning to return next year. I must also mention the very good cooperation we had with Tim and Nora. They supported us with all information we needed, booked our airport transfer and so on.

Fantastic!!

What can I say? This was a tremendous experience for my family. (6 of us). The views were unbelievable, the appartment stunning. It was clean, well laid out and the hosts even provided a brand new barbecue! Best location in Nerja (we have been there over 10 times). We have already booked for 2013 and cant wait.

Over the Top!

We've been to many villas/penthouses that make promises that cause you to slump in dissapointment when you walk in. That was not the case at Tuhilo in Nerja! Our hearts soared as we ran from room to room to see how spacious,well apppointed and clean this property is. You could spend your entire stay on the balcony and still feel you've had a holiday. Stunning, simply stunning! this quaint seaside town is delightful. What you should know: #1: wear comfie shoes for hiking this hilly town; #2: long way down to this beach not bad but the trek back is difficult in the heat. Bring water but be sure to go to the all you can eat paella at Ayo Beach Restauarant ; #3: go to the little shop on the corner if you like British imported food-its' a life saver if you want to eat in; #4: go to Joye Pub Internet Cafe, up the street as it is a great meeting place to bump into people form all over the world; and last but not least do find out about having a night out in Almunecar at Barbacoa y Flamenco, for the greatest, most authentic Spanish bbq and flamenco dancing you'll ever see. Holiday paradise

We stayed in December 2009, leaving behind a very cold and bleak England. We had a perfect week in glorious warm sunshine. The apartment and facilities are excellent. The beach and town a short walk away. The most memorable thing of the whole week, was never failing to be stunned by the views over the Mediteranean sea from the apartment. Simply beautiful..We've booked ot go back again in May!

A perfect week in Nerja

The apartment was just like the owner had promised. An amazing ocean view, just a few steps to the beach and the city of Nerja was reachable within a little walk. The weather was perfect and everyday an unbelievable sunrise. We had a wonderful time in Nerja enjoying especially the evenings at the roof. The rooms are furnished tasteful and we didn't missed anything. We had a very kindly email contact with the owners and they prepaired us perfectly. Thank you again for that. We would certainly recommend the apartment, it is a wonderful place.

I stayed at this apartment in Nerja with 3 girlfreinds inMay 2008We were delighted with the sizeBedroomsare private with 2bedrooms to one bath.#1 feature is the rooftop terrace facing the sea.Apt is withinwalking distance to the beautiful Burrianna Beach where once you travel downthe huge hill you can stay and enjoy all day long. 3L was born from a dream in the late 60’s, when I put my Canadian architecture career on hold to pursue my love of songwriting in Spain. Ultimately I returned to Canada and to architecture but I had fallen deeply in love with the south of Spain. Nora (a documentary director) and I returned years later to create a place where we could raise our 2 sons. For 14 years, we spent 6 months a year in Nerja, with our boys attending local Spanish schools. We rented out 3L each time we returned to Canada. Over time we have developed lasting connections with the local community.

Tim toured the Costa del Sol coast from Valencia to Estepona before finding this very special property in a pretty little coastal town. Our kids love the hiking in the surrounding countryside. The proximity of the beach. And the fact that in winter, you can be up on the ski slopes of the Sierra Nevadas in less than 2 hours. As parents, we love the spaciousness of the place that offers any family group, both personal breathing room, and a variety of wonderful places to gather in. We still sit over breakfast on the front terrace over breakfast looking out over the sea and along the dramatic coastline and marvel at how we found such a place!

Make no mistake. This is a family home, equipped well beyond a holiday retreat. Clients frequently comment that the spaces are generous beyond what the photographs suggest. And that the apartment "far exceeds their expectations." As for the view, it is no accident that the Spanish tourism board chose the view of the beach from the west end of Tuhillo's garden to feature in an international Spanish Tourism Campaign a few years ago.
