Välkommen till Folly Cottage, uppkallad efter en lång dårskap på backen bakom stugan. Det är ett hemtrevligt 1700-talshus med moderna amenties, perfekt för familjesemester i East Neuk. Ny gas centralvärme och en braskamin har just installerats för att göra det väldigt mysigt. Mycket bekvämt vardagsrum, mysig köksmiddag, ett sovrum med dubbelsäng, en tvilling och en utfällbar bäddsoffa. Härlig solfälla trädgård, utsikt över fält till baksidan. Bra bas för att utforska East Neuk, nära stränder, golfbanor, promenader på landet, fina restauranger, bondgårdar, St Andrews bara 15 minuter bort. Resor till Highlands, Perthshire, Edinburgh är alla lätt härifrån.
Det finns så mycket på East Neuk, särskilt under sommaren 2019. För musikälskare finns East Neuk musikfestival i slutet av juni; Crail Festival i juni; Pittenweem Arts Festival i början av augusti, St Monans Sea Queen Day i juni, Anstruther Muster i maj, Elie Fayre Day i juli. För matälskare finns Ardross Farm Shop bara några miles bort, hemlagad choklad på Cocoa Tree i Piitenweem, Barnetts hantverkare i de lokala bagerierna, Crail Food Festival i juni, färsk och rökt fisk från St Monans och Balgove Farm Shop på kanten av St Andrews. Det finns något för alla.

Home away from home

There was everything you'd ever need for a comfortable stay and by that I mean things like a teapot & cosy, oven gloves, decent wine glasses, mugs and a full compliment of cutlery & utensils..Cleaning products in kitchen & bathroom top.

Nice little place to be

Colinsburgh is a nice little town near the sea. There is so much to see and do nearby and we have been all day off to see the sights.

Spacious two bedroom home

The enclosed garden was a real bonus for us with our dogs. We found the property to be spacious and conveniently located. We found it easily and were able to park right beside the house.

Cozy cottage

The cottage was great for us. Spent a lot of daytime away visiting family. But there was everything you needed inc. A teapot which safly a lot properties lack. Fantastic stay and great communications with the hostess.

Perfect base for walking holiday

The cottage was lovely and full of character. Warm and cosy, very comfortable. Lovely enclosed little garden, perfect for the dogs. Maia was a great host, provided lots of useful information about the surrounding area and great suggestions on places to visit. Kept in regular contact and quick to answer any questions. I really enjoyed my stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return

We stayed in Colinsburgh for a month and loved it. The cottage had all we needed, the town had all we needed. Maia is always responsive and ready to guide and help with any questions.

Value for money

House had all we needed for our short stay. Good communication with the host. Excellent base for exploring Fife.On a main road, so some road noise, but this did not bother us.

Lovely cosy holiday home

The pictures don't do the property justice. The home has such a nice, relaxed feel and is well equipped with everything you need. The fresh eggs and Easter treats were such a lovely touch also. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a lovely time!!

Lovely cottage and great host with cosy living room and well equipped kitchen diner.

We loved staying at this property. The log burner is the soul of the house. I managed to cook lots of nice homemade dishes for my children. There are a couple of things that could be renovated but it is very homely.

The cottage was clean and comfortable. The lady renting the cottage was fabulous. She was responsive and friendly and provided easy to use and detailed instructions on how to use the features of the cottage. She also provided good (and correct) information on local restaurants and facilities.

Perfect in every way

We stayed in this delightful cottage for a week over our daughter’s graduation from St Andrews. Ideally located for exploring the East Neuk and one of the best equipped self catering establishments we have every stayed in. A real home from home with comfy beds, private sun trap garden and easy parking. We were made to feel very welcome and would definitely recommend and return. Five stars ⭐️

Cozy wee Cottage

Situated in a small village but very accessible by bus to all surrounding costal towns in the East Neuk of Fife. A cozy wee cottage with a private garden and dog friendly. All the residents are very friendly too. My only concern that is totally outwith the hosts control is the door opens to a narrow pavement where the village speed limit is 20 mph - that no-one adheres to!

Overall, a very nice place to stay

A cosy cottage in a good location for exploring East Neuk. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped, although the living room furniture is getting a bit tired. The cottage opens directly onto the pavement alongside a surprisingly busy road. Traffic noise is not an issue but parking can sometimes be a bit problematic. There is a useful shop in the village but the pub is closed. Overall, with a couple of reservations, a very nice place to stay

Homely and cosy

Perfect cottage for what I needed, stayed for 3 nights felt very at home. Didn't want to leave! Well equipped everything I needed. The 2 local shops had enough in them to get by, fresh veg aswell obviously not a huge choice but more than I expected and very friendly service. The road can be quite busy, but it's totally fine!

A pleasant village cottage, ideal for a long weekend.

Overall a very good stay. A few points for consideration. We found the double bed mattress very uncomfortable. It would have been good if the bathroom door was lockable. The toilet seat needs to be fixed so it doesn't slide around!

Wouldnt recommended.

Dated cottage which needs a declutter and most of all a good clean. Looked like somebody had just left before we checked in. Filthy Bed sheets, stained towels, crisps packets under bed, broken curtain pole etc Would not recommened.
