Castle View Cottage - fantastisk stuga i Yorkshire Dales

Castle View, Castle Bolton lever verkligen upp till sitt namn, med utsikt över stugan som bokstavligen inte kan överträffas (och bara jämställs med vår granne!)
Fullt renoverat 2015/2016 är stugan öppen plan i bottenvåningen, med kök, ett stort matbord, soffa, stolar, TV och DAB-radio. Naturen med öppen planlösning ger en mycket mysig känsla, men den är verkligen inte trång.
På övervåningen finns det två sovrum, ett med två enkelsängar och det stora sovrummet med en superkingsize-säng (detta kan delas upp till två singlar om du vill). Badrummet på övervåningen är utrustat med en modern promenad i kraftfull dusch, toalett och tvättställ.
Det finns oljeeldad centralvärme i hela, och en underbar vedeldad spis för en mysig natt i.
Utanför finns ett slutet baksätplats med möbler. (lagras i uthuset). Det finns en plats på framsidan av fastigheten med utsikt mot Bolton Castle.

Absolutely beautiful cosy cottage, lovely quiet location. Clean with all items needed for our stay. Kitchen was well equipped (for once we didn't need to bring a cafetiere) Anne was an excellent host, great communication and instructions.Perfect

Lovely cosy cottage in superb location looking towards Bolton castle across grassy areas. Superbly equipped. Great location for exploring Dales. Close to Leyburn for supplies. Lovely views of Penhill. Wonderful Castle only 5 mins walk from cottage with nice cafe. Mary Queen of Scot's bedroom. Lovely grounds with maze. Entry fee applies.You can see the wild boars being fed at 4pm each day by the car park.

a beautiful little cottage in a lovely area. Quiet and peaceful, neighbours lovely, loved listening to the geese, curlews, pheasants and the owls at night. The only disappointing item was the bed was so hard we have both walked away with a bad back. Some people don't mind a hard bed so this is not a complaint. We certainly would go back but would take a topper with us :)

Schoon, gezellig en comfortabel huisje

Voor de tweede keer in dit huisje verbleven en wederom heel erg tevreden. Prachtige omgeving en wandelroutes vanaf de deur. Hondvriendelijk en fijn contact met de behulpzame eigenaar.

Perfect cottage!

We had booked Castle View as our accommodation for our wedding at Bolton Castle. Our bridal party stayed with us and at the cottage next door and it was perfect. We could not have asked for more.

Perfect base to explore the Dales

We had a lovely, comfortable stay in Castle View cottage. It was perfectly located, and the short walk to Bolton Castle and view from the front windows were fantastic. Even on rainy days we found lots to do and it was great just staying in and watching the weather with a cup of tea. Highly recommended!

A return visit to Castle View. Clean, spacious property that is a great base for a visit to the Dales. Anne the owner is a great host, excellent communication. Castle Bolton is a wonderful location and would definitely recommend a visit.

Another wonderful stay at Castle View

Long weekend away for Family Wedding

The property is superb, immaculate and well equipped and furnished to a high standard. We especially appreciated the extras washing up liquid, soap in bathroom, tin foil, bin bags all items that usually are not provided and then need to be purchased and perhaps only use a small amount. The only downside was it was difficult to park over the weekend but settled down by Sunday night. Thank you for a fabulous stay 10/10

We had a lovely time at Castle View. The house is spotlessly clean and has all of the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Amazing location with stunning scenery..... and Ann was the perfect host. What more could you ask for?!

Hello- thank you for looking at our little gem of a cottage which we bought in 2015 as a restoration project. We use it as a weekend and summer get away so it's our home from home. Over the last few years we have enjoyed getting to know the area and have truly fallen in love with Wensleydale.

Our Cottage is set at the head of Castle Bolton village with views of Bolton Castle that quite literally are unsurpassed and only equalled by our neighbour!
We sympathetically restored the cottage in 2015 giving it a very homely warm feel. During 2024, we refurbished the soft furnishings and decorated throughout. We hope the pictures do it justice
