Traditionell Dales stuga med fantastisk utsikt,

Westbrook House Àr en terrasserad stuga belÀgen i en lugn icke-körning genom byn Newbiggin i Bishopdale. Det finns terrÀngparkering pÄ framsidan av fastigheten.

Stugan frÄn 1742 har mÄnga traditionella funktioner inklusive de ursprungliga balkarna. PÄ övervÄningen finns tvÄ sovrum. Det stora sovrummet har en superking-storlek sÀng med en minne skum madrass. Funktioner inkluderar ett vÀlvt tak med synliga balkar. Det finns ocksÄ en TV och hÀrlig utsikt bÄde pÄ framsidan och baksidan av fastigheten.

Det andra sovrummet har en dubbelsÀng av massiv ek med tvÄ sÀngbord. Rummet har ocksÄ synliga balkar och hÀrlig utsikt bakom fastigheten.

LÀngs en korridor finns ett stort, rymligt badrum med badkar / dusch och en stor fÄfÀnga. Det finns ocksÄ en vÀggvÀrmare om extra vÀrme krÀvs.

NedervÄningen - det finns ett mysigt 3: e sovrum med dubbelsÀng i mÀssing.

Den huvudsakliga loungen har tvÄ soffor med plats för 5 personer. Det finns ocksÄ en spis med flera brÀnslen som kan brÀnna bÄde kol och stockar (alla ingÄr i priset). Det finns ocksÄ en stor full HD 4k-TV, en Humax FREESAT-lÄda, en DVD-spelare och ett urval av DVD-skivor. Gratis bredband och WiFi tillhandahÄlls ocksÄ gratis. Det blir ocksÄ mycket sol pÄ morgonen och tidigt pÄ eftermiddagen sÄ det Àr ett trevligt omrÄde att sitta ute och ha en morgonkappa och till och med chatta med förbipasserande. Den bakre trÀdgÄrden Àr mycket större med gott om plats att promenera runt & en grÀsmatta som lutar ner till ett fÀlt. Det finns ocksÄ ett metallbord med sex stolar som du kan sitta ute och Àta pÄ och njuta av den fantastiska utsikten över Dale.

Wow , what a lovely cottage . When arriving the children loved looking around and finding their rooms ! Everything about it made our stay 5 days to remember! From the luxury of the bathroom , the cosy lounge to the comfortable beds . Everything was there that we needed so much so I didn’t have to take half the things I took ie towels, t-towels , coffee tea and sugar - the list goes on . You can tell we’ve not stayed in a top notch property before :-)Thankyou again Phil for keeping in touch and making sure everything was ok . We didn’t want to come home , although we are all walked out ! :-)Sharon and Simon

The perfect location for a short Yorkshire visit. The cottage had everything we needed, it was nice and warm, has comfy beds, a beautiful view, games, dvds, local info and perfect for star gazing on a clear night. Phil was great at responding to my messages and was on hand the whole time. It is remote which suited us, so be sure to pick up what you need when you're out and about. Loved it, thanks

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Westbrook House. Beautiful views, peaceful garden, and a quick walk to the village pub with friendly people and amazing food. It is in a great location to traipse around the Dales, and is very cozy and well appointed (the bathroom is amazing)...just perfect to come "home" to after a day of walking or touring. Phil is one of the most well-prepared and organized hosts we have ever encountered, providing you with lots of info and recommendations well in advance, and very responsive. We only wished we could have stayed longer, and can't recommend it enough! Thank you, Phil!!

We had the very best time staying at Westbrook House. The hosts have thought of everything you might need and the cottage was dry cosy. The views were stunning and a walk to the local pub was the icing on the cake. Be warned the food potions are very generous. We explored the area and our host did recommend the Wensleydale ice cream parlour which was worth a visit. Beautiful house in a beautiful location.

This house is set in the most beautiful countryside and the views are amazing. The house is kitted out with everything you need to prepare meals at home or a 5 min walk to the local pub. The beds were comfortable with high quality linen, a very spacious bathroom with a large bath (with a view and lots of towels). Great wifi made planning our days out a delight and allowed relaxing evenings with a movie or two Everything about our 3 week stay was just so wonderful and we definitely plan to return.

A really nice, well-appointed house with a lovely garden and great views. In a very quiet location, but only a few minutes stroll from the local pub, which serves excellent food, this house is a great place to come and relax and is also a good base for walking the dales. We loved it.

We had a wonderful five night stay in Newbiggin. Phil could not have been more helpful and accessible.Westbrook House was beautifully clean and well equipped. We were blessed with incredible weather and sitting outside the cottage enjoying the peace and quiet with a glass of wine was just perfect.Excellently situated for walks and other local delights.Cannot recommend highly enough - thank you Phil

We had a wonderful time. The cottage was very comfortable, peaceful, and relaxing with a lovely garden and amazing views out the back. It's in a beautiful location with easy access to explore the dales. There are many great restaurants and pubs relatively close by. Phillip was a great host, very responsive and helpful with all inquiries. would highly recommend.

Beautiful and relaxing stay

The house is beautiful and well kitted out with everything you should need. The mattress in the main bedroom was very comfy and provided such a good night's sleep and being woken by bird song (although early) was lovely. The bathroom was very luxurious and the towels provided were very thick and good quality. The owner was great at communication and answered all questions promptly. We would happily rebook.

Had a lovely stay at the cottage that felt very much like home. Absolutely beautiful views from the garden. Just wish there had been a bar b q. Perfectly situated to get out and about with a great choice of castles, waterfalls and coffee shops to visit. The host is always on hand if needed. The cottage was well equipped definitely a wonderful find

Peaceful retreat

We had an amazing stay. The house was so peaceful and comfortable yet within walking distance of a pub and with beautiful walks from the door. Phil could not have been more helpful, we would love to return!!

Fabulous - Quiet and Relaxing

Westbrook House was a wonderfully quiet and relaxing place to stay. With beautiful views over the dales and being serenaded by the sweet sounds of the various birdsongs, it was a quiet oasis for us to relax. The house itself was perfect. It was clean, had all of the advertised amenities and was consistent with the pictures provided in the listing. The kitchen is well equipped and has the full compliment of conveniences needed to function effectively (ie, washer and dishwasher tablets, wax paper, cling film, seasonings and oil, plenty of pots , pans and baking trays/dishes, etc, etc).The bathroom was terrific. Beautiful clawfoot bath, plenty of hot water with good pressure in the shower and a terrific set up for night lighting with sensor baseboard lighting. Communication with the owners was seamless and easy. During our visit, Phil (owner) visited the property to do some yard maintenance and was very considerate of us during that time. We were interested in the property and area and Phil was more than happy to answer our many questions. He was a pleasure to interact with and our exchanges with him enhanced our visit. The Yorkshire Dales itself was a lovely place to visit. The property is located within easy driving distance of the local attractions, restaurants and pubs and towns for sourcing supplies for cooking at home. And there were plenty of walking paths available too. Great stay. Recommend and would return if in the area again (visiting from Australia).

Cosy cottage with stunning views

This was our second visit to this lovely cottage and it won't be our last. Very cosy clean cottage with everything you need. The garden is beautiful with great views of the dales. Very handy for the street head Inn pub who does great food . Nice walks straight from the door in the surrounding hills and into west burton. Great communication with our host Phil who made sure we had all the information we needed for our stay which was very helpful. We will be back

Fabulous views

We loved our stay in this quaint little cottage and the views from the rear of the property were just beautiful. The whole area is very pretty and this was a perfect location to venture out from. Phil and Lisa are very friendly and accommodating - highly recommended.

Despite this not being our primary residence, my partner & I love the Dales, and escape here as often as work allows. But as we can't be here all the time we don't see why others shouldn't enjoy the use of such a lovely property, in such a gorgeous setting. We've done lots of work to refurbish much of the property, including new carpets & a newly-fitted kitchen with all mod-cons. We aim to make your stay as enjoyable and as hassle-free as possible. And hope that at the end of your stay you'll feel like you don't want to leave.

Quite simply you'll be staying in one of the most beautiful parts of the country. Not only are you right in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, but it's the perfect base from which to explore the whole of Dales.

If you like walking, there are literally dozens you can choose from - from gentle riverside strolls to hikes over windswept moors. If you like visiting attractions the choice is extensive - from arboretums, museums & castles, to the world-famous Wensleydale cheese-making creamery & Hardraw waterfall.
