Reeth kan vara upptagen, gå 300 meter och hitta lugnet i Wraycroft Cottages. Ett husdjur gratis barn fri webbplats. Ashcroft är en av tre länkade självhushåll stugor i två tunnland trädgårdar med privat flodbank och enastående utsikt. Vi erbjuder det bästa av båda världar, rena, bekväma, varma, välskötta, mycket välutrustade stugor nära bekvämligheter men i ett område med lugn och ro. Inspekterad årligen av VisitEngland får vi 4 * och 100% för renlighet.
Bo på platsen vi är här för att träffas vid ankomst. Vi accepterar endast bokningar från mogna ansvariga vuxna som respekterar tystnaden på webbplatsen. Vi har huvudsakligen vanliga besökare som bokar på grund av denna anledning. Stugan är kopplad till Beechcroft och Cedarcroft. Den stora trädgården och floden delas av alla inklusive vår familj även om varje stuga har egen uteplats med utsikt över trädgården och kullarna bortom. Eftersom vi inte har något sätt att kontakta dig innan bokningen bekräftas ber vi att du bara reserverar en semester om du skulle känna dig nöjd med dessa restriktioner. Vi är strikt inga husdjur eller barn under 10 år.

Cosy quiet retreat yet close to local amenities

We stayed over the Easter period in the cottage and certainly appreciated the real fire and good heating as the weather was pretty awful! Very handy to have a porch for all the wet boots and waterproofs. The cottage was incredibly clean, well equipped and comfortably furnished. The views over the surrounding countryside are wonderful and we saw them both in all their spring colour and snow covered during our stay. The owners were quick to respond to our pre stay questions and were welcoming and helpful on arrival. There is also plenty of helpful info about the cottage, village and local area provided. The location is fantastic for walking and visiting the surrounding area and within 5 minutes walk from the cottage you are in the heart of the village. Certainly judging by some of the other holiday lets in the area, the off road parking at the cottage is a real plus too. We found a warm welcome and good beer at The Black Bull Inn in the village and treated ourselves to a meal at the Bourgogne Hotel - fantastic food and service in lovely surroundings if you have a special occasion to celebrate. I thought the cottage kitchen was very well equipped compared to other holiday rentals we have used, with plenty of crockery, utensils etc. and even glasses for the post walk prosecco. We will certainly return to the cottage in the future and would recommend it to couples of all ages.

Ray Hodgson är värd

The Hodgson family has lived in the Dale for generations. Walter was born in the village and only left to be in the navy during World War II. Ray however is an incomer. She left Lancashire, where she was born, to go to Dartford college of Physical Education and then taught in various places including Australia. We established Wraycroft Cottages in the 1960's and are still enthusiastically continuing (except perhaps on change over days !) With our son Dave and family now living next door we are able to share the load. Dave also Reeth born, left to go to music college, travelled and worked abroad but then in 2003 returned to the village with his family. He was well able to step into a major cottage

Varför värden valde detta boende

A stunning field on Back Lane Reeth, we used to walk past and say 'one day we will live on this field". The dream came true. Buying the land in 1970 we started building our bungalow to accommodate us and Ray's parents. We built it stone by stone living first in he garage.
In 1980 we decided to build the Croft Cottages alongside us and sell off our other holiday properties. Such a special location why not share it. We offer an oasis of calm where visitors can enjoy spectacular views, access to the River Swale, ponds, trees, wildlife whilst staying in 4 star accommodation which achieves 100% cleanliness by Visit England. We have three terraced self-catering cottages, each sleeping up to 2 mature adults.
The cottages are kept warm through out the year.

There are open fires, wi-fi access, private parking

For the active there is a basketball hoop on the original tennis court. A substantial full sized badminton net can be erected on the grass or hard court. A swim in the river or a run up and down the garden for the hardy.

Others may elect to sit by the river or on one of the well placed benches or use a net to pond dip. Just let the world go by.

We offer a friendly welcome, advice if requested, privacy if not.

The fact that we have such a high percentage of returning visitors is our highest recommendation. One couple have come for over 40 years and many have been returning for between ten to twenty years.

There are so many holiday cottages available nowadays it must be difficult for new visitors to decide which one to select.

We like you to ring so you can hear our enthusiam and answer any questions you may have.

We love the properties because of the location and because we physically built everything on the site with our own 'four hands' . They are truly part of the family. It has been a labour of love and we are so pleased to be able to share the place with like minded visitors.
The garden is loved by many and it makes all the hours spent working there very worth while
