InbÀddat i charmiga Uptown New Orleans, i det historiska, lugna och sÀkra Uptown-omrÄdet i Carrollton. NÀra till vackra Palmer Park, Àr huset bara 2 kvarter frÄn spÄrvagnslinjen pÄ historiska Carrollton Avenue, busslinjen pÄ Claiborne eller taxistativet pÄ hörnet! Robert's Grocery och Walgreen ligger bara 3 kvarter bort. Mer kvarter frÄn historisk, men ÀndÄ högen Oak Street, det finns dussintals nÀrliggande restauranger, barer, kaféer och butiker. SÄ mÄnga saker gör i vÄrt grannskap!

Denna vackra 100 Är gamla fastighet renoverades fullstÀndigt 2007. Vi har en uppfart för en bil. Den har 2 vÄningar, pÄ övervÄningen finns tvÄ sovrum med queen size-sÀngar med high end lakan och duntÀcken. Varje sovrum har en TV. PÄ övervÄningen finns ett komplett badrum med en klo fotbadkar. Den nedre vÄningen har ett rymligt vardagsrum, inklusive en soffa och en full storlek futon. Köket Àr utrustat med kylskÄp, diskmaskin och gasspis med alla nödvÀndigheter för bra matlagning! Det finns en vacker matsal med en 6ft glas topp matsal bord med plats för sex. Nedre vÄningen har ett nytt ombyggda badrum, inklusive en underbar ny dusch och en tvÀttmaskin och torktumlare. Bakdörren gÄr ut till en privat uteplats med bord och stolar, perfekt för morgonkaffe eller en cocktail!

5 minuter till Audubon Park, Zoo, Tulane och Loyola Universities
7 minuter till Super-Dome och New Orleans Basketball Arena.

Lori had turned on the ac so were comfortable, the property was clean and welcoming. The location was perfect a short walk to the trolley which took us all the to the French quarter for a whopping 1.25. They were very accommodating

Great Location!

We loved this house. So cute with comfy beds and plenty of space for visiting. Perfect for two couples and an easy Uber pretty much anywhere you'd like to go. Loved having a parking spot out front. Host was quick and gracious answering questions quickly and kindly. We would stay again.

NOLA Getaway

The property was just as described and perfect for us and our 2 dogs. It's a short walk to a park to get the dogs some exercise. Lori is super fast to respond if you need anything. Great stay and we would stay again!

Wonderful Property

My husband and I stayed for one week with our dog. The property was exactly what we were looking for: Clean, convenient for visiting our son, safe neighborhood, plenty of linens and an all around positive experience. I am certain to book here again when in New Orleans.

The property was larger than expected, owners were very friendly and responsive. There is quite a bit of road construction around the property, but once you figure out the one way, it’s not bad. Walking distance to restaurants, grocery, and street car.

Great Host, Good Location

We enjoyed our stay in this unit. It is on a quiet street, really close to a park and the walk to the streetcar is super quick and easy. Lori responded quickly to the only issue we had, which was remote batteries. This was the best appointed VRBO we have stayed in.. plenty of towels, nice sheets, comfortable beds... just zero complaints. Definitely recommend!

Amazing!

I rented the place for the weekend for my daughter, a student at Tulane, who just needed a weekend with hot water, a tub, and some alone time. Lori is Amazing!! She was very patient with me answering many questions, she was responsive and accommodating and treated my daughter like family. My daughter was so happy and everything was nicer than she expected. According to her, the pictures don't do the home justice.There are no words to express my appreciation she was so very kind and provided anything she needed- she even invited her to her crawfish boil. You have to just love the culture in NOLA! If you want no hassles- no surprises (except the good kind) - very comfortable - well stocked - very nice furnishings (Perfect in my daughter's words)- a place to park your car- the best hostess - great and safe location - then this is the place for you! I am looking forward to spending time there when we visit. Lori you are the best!

Lori and John were great about everything. They responded quickly to all communication. House is very comfortable and with the street car so close you can get anywhere. Great restaurant in the neighborhood. Definitely would stay there again.

Great location in uptown

The place is as described in the listing. Perfect spot for our family of 4, 2 blocks from the st Charles streetcar line. Walkable to Tulane and Audubon Park, but it's a hike, and no fun in a summer thunderstorm! The backyard pool is small but perfect for a refresher. Don't wear socks on the steps.

We appreciated the separate living spaces downstairs and bedrooms upstairs. Beds were comfy and hosts were quick to respond to questions.

Family weekend in NOLA

The house is beautiful and has everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and off street parking right at the front door. The stairs were a little steep (which was not an issue for us) and my husband and son had to be careful not to bump heads on the ceiling when going up! The host is wonderful and the neighborhood was fine but we never walked anywhere from the house. Streets are under construction but hopefully done soon. Only thing I could possibly suggest would be a lighted make up mirror in the upstairs bathroom. We would absolutely stay here again!

Excellent hosts in an emergency

I have to give a HUGE shoutout to our hosts. We landed in New Orleans on Monday night before they shut the airport for the big storm of January 2025. Since we got in late, there were no grocery stores open and the city CLOSED DOWN on Tuesday and Wednesday. Our hosts came by with a bag of eggs, bread, butter, cheese, sausage, soup, and apples for us. We had enough for several meals and were immensely grateful to have them looking out for us.The VRBO is just as it looks online and was a lovely place to be marooned!

Wonderful spot next to the trolly, hidden gem in a quiet neighborhood.

Top of the line appliances, bottle of wine in fridge, clawfoot tub upstairs by two comfortable and charming bedrooms. Downstairs had bathroom with newly renovated shower- with washer and dryer! Quiet neighborhood close totally line for trips into the quarter- our little dogs had a fenced yard for late night breaks and a park nearby for walks.

Lovely rental

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rental was extremely comfortable, well equipped, very clean, and peaceful. The location was ideal for us: only two blocks from family. The rental is close to the Green Line and easy to get around on foot. There is ongoing construction so the streets are torn up but once you know the area you can navigate around the worst of it. Our host Lori had lights turned on for us as we were arriving in the evening and she responded to emails or texts quickly. We will definitely stay here again.

Hi! We are Lori and John. We both love to cook and have a local catering company specializing in Creole cuisine. We love New Orleans and participate in just about everything! Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, French Quarter Fest, Essence, Voodoo, and all the fun festivals in between! We have great parks, golf courses, restaurants etc......We are super excited to host this VRBO since 2015 and would love to help with any info about New Orleans and surrounding areas.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

We have lived in this Carrollton neighborhood for the last 23 years. It is a wonderful neighborhood with great neighbors and we also have a small park that hosts an Art fair once a month! The grocery store is 3 blks away. We have restaurants, bars, vintage shopping, coffee shops that are within walking distance (6 blks).

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Our house has such a New Orleans flair! Gorgeous hard wood floors, vaulted ceiling, claw foot tub. We have made this house warm and comfortable, and of course a great kitchen and dining room for entertaining! This truly is your home away from home! Added bonus is a cute back patio that our past guests have loved.
