Charming Moss Creek Home

Very clean and cozy. We were very comfortable in this house for the week, and the Carolina room was the cherry on top. The cooling unit does a great job of keeping that room very comfortable and we spent a lot of time relaxing there. We would certainly stay here again, and the owners are absolutely wonderful as well!

Moss Creek is a beautiful community with so many ways to enjoy nature and relax! This home was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed. We watched the egrets from the back deck every morning and the tiny frogs at night. Excellent grill and kitchen supplies so it was easy to make full meals. The beds were all comfortable and the living room furniture looked brand new. The owners were extremely helpful and answered all of my inquiries immediately, and even checked in by email after we left and the maid found an item to make sure it wasn't ours! Lastly in case this is helpful to others, my daughter and I have sensitivities to fragrance, chemicals, dust and mold, and we had no issues. We hope to be able to return!

Great Location

We loved this place for multiple reasons; location, beautiful surroundings, and accommodating. The owners were great people and made our stay very easy. My wife and I are planning to purchase a second home in Bluffton and recommend staying in this rental if you visit the area. Shopping/dining are all within a short drive especially Hilton Head.

We had a great time during our month at Moss Creek. The home was comfortable with all we needed and we really enjoyed the walking trails in the neighborhood. It was close enough to really explore Savannah.

Wonderful getaway!

House was wonderful, clean, and well stocked. Beautiful marsh view and great central location within Moss Creek - quick walk to clubhouse and short bike ride to pool. Easy access to old bluffton and HHI beaches and restaurants. Had a quick question about amenities upon arrival and host was very quick to reply. All in all, a fun, stress free week away! Would stay there again in future.

The cottage and the owners couldn't be nicer.

This marsh cottage has been totally set up to accommodate guests. Everything needed to make our visit easy and relaxing was available to us. We loved waching the deer and raccoon play in the open areas. Carla

Wonderful Oasis!!

We thoroughly LOVED your stay at Peter and Lisa's Cottage in Moss Creek. We were in town for a Family Reunion and had a Wonderful time! The Cottage was even more than we had hoped for! It was Impeccably Clean with plenty of comfortable linens and a well stock kitchen! Perfect place for a Family of 4 Adults and 2 young children! We hope to be able to visit there again and stay there! Thank you for your Kind Hospitality and Fabulous Communication!

A charming cottage

Handy location - only 5 minutes from the entry guard house. Absolutely wonderful for bike rides - especially over the bridges to the nature preserve. Cottage was beautifully decorated with every amenity available. We came during the Christmas season when the little court was lit to the nines. It felt like a fairyland. We hope to go back next year.

A Beautiful Palm Island Cottage

So enjoyed the renovated cottage on the marsh & the 18th hole of the south course @ Moss Creek. We loved the spacious space, well-equiped kitchen, the outside deck & the screened porch. Love the location of Moss Creek to Bluffton, Hilton Head Island, & local golf courses. As we plan next year's (2017), vacation, sorry that it is already booked! That tells it all!

Spacious cottage

Excellent accommodation open floor plan Great mattresses. Fully stocked kitchen. Awesome views..Carolina room patio enclosed. Furniture in living area could be updated. Seating is low when u sit down in chairs. Sofa is fine. Easy in and out of cottage with door code. No door key to keep up with. Walking easily to tennis courts golf course and clubhouse from here.

Great Cottage & Location

We stayed in your home over July 4th as were meeting for a family reunion with other family members that live at Moss Creek. Our son, wife & grandchildren stayed with us. The twin beds in the loft were comfortable and perfect for our needs. Your home is very well equipped with everything you need in a kitchen. Your renovation and decorating was very warm and inviting. We enjoyed the Carolina Room with the view of the marsh. We really appreciated the detailed information you had to printed out for us to take the guesswork out of our stay. Moss Creek is a very convenient location with plenty of activities for all ages. Our grandchildren loved riding bikes on the Nature Trail, kayaking and the pool. We would definitely recommend your home for all ages.

Great Family Vacation Home

This Moss Creek home was perfect for our family of five. Our family spent a month there from mid-July to mid-August. The home is just as the pictures show. The home is well equipped with all the necessary things for an extended vacation and entertaining friends. The beds were very comfortable, the living room has great views, the kitchen has all new appliances. The Carolina room was our favorite place to sit, relax an enjoy the all the salt marsh has to offer - peace and tranquility. A nice walk to the clubhouse for Sunday brunch was a great place to meet old friends and make new ones. A nice early morning bike ride to the pool to see the sunrise over the salt marsh is picturesque and priceless. The owners, Pete & Lisa were very responsive to all of our needs. We will definitely return next summer and can't wait.

SERENE & ACTIVE-ALL AT THE SAME TIME!

This Moss Creek cottage was the best VRBO place that we ever visited, and we've been around the world with VRBO. The house is beautifully appointed, with a supreme level of pride in ownership. Nothing is missing, everything you need is at your fingertips. The quietness surrounding the home creates a peaceful getaway from the stresses in life. I spent lots of time relaxing in the Carolina room, with it's beautiful view. But, at the same time, when you want to play, there's plenty to do. My husband and I enjoyed a nature walk, kayaking, and a Zumba exercise class. In addition, the location is central to the resorts on Hilton Head Island, the charms of Old Bluffton, and the antique stores in Beaufort. We'll be back as soon as we can!

Awesome Beach House

This house is not only beautifully decorated on the inside, but it is also in a great central location in Hilton Head. The house is exactly as photographed. Everything is color coordinated down to the hangers in each of the bedrooms. The kitchen had amble utensils, cookware, and dishes (which were also color coordinated). The house was extremely clean too. We did not get a chance to enjoy any of the amenities offered by the plantation, but were able to get to the beach within 15-20 minutes. Tanger Outlets are just outside the Moss Creek Plantation. Lots of places to eat and see. Lastly, it is worth the drive to see Savannah, GA and get reservations at the Lady and Sons restaurant. The Southern Food Buffet is $18 / pp. Food was very good there. Definitely recommend this beach house to anyone!!

Great family vacation

We had a great time staying at this home. The home is located in a peaceful setting within Moss Creek, which is a short drive to the touristy areas of Hilton Head. The home has beautiful views of the salt marsh and the golf course behind it. We saw a lot of wildlife during our stay. The home had plenty of amenities. The kitchen was well-stocked and it was convenient to cook meals. We also used the large gas grill. We were very impressed with how comfortable our stay was at this property. It felt like being a guest at someone’s home. Moss Creek is a great community for a vacation. We enjoyed biking, walking, swimming at the community pool, and running. There are also other activities such as golfing and tennis. There is a forest preserve within the community. The location is convenient to Bluffton, Savannah, and all of the different areas of Hilton Head. We made good use of the free parking at Coligny Beach to spend time at the ocean and the recently opened Lowcountry Celebration Park. We loved our stay and look forward to returning.

Best family vacation

We had the best stay in Moss Creek! The location of this house was perfect to visit family in Moss Creek and also so convenient to downtown historic Bluffton in one direction and the beach in the other. The house had every amenity, super comfy beds and bedding, and a magical and serene view. I had the best sleep in 10 years and can’t wait to make this an annual tradition!

We are empty nesters who like golf and tennis and just about everything associated with Moss Creek and Hilton Head. We moved frequently in our professional life but have started to settle down. We have two boys, both graduates of Auburn University and mechanical/civil engineers. We try to get to Moss Creek as often as possible.

Varför värden valde detta boende

As we are starting to get long in tooth but not quite old enough to retire, we started looking for places where we might want to settle down and Hilton Head was towards the top of the list. Moss Creek offers several activities of personal interest including golf, tennis and boating. We refer to this place as our 'Retirement Starter House' as it gives us an opportunity to figure out what we really want in retirement. Moss Creek offers all the traditional leisure activities in a splendid environmental setting. We don't think it gets much better than the Hilton Head Island. With the relaxed atmosphere of the Low Country, the pleasant climate and the scenery of the moss draped oaks, palms, pine, marshland and waterways, you definitely feel that you on vacation, that you 'away' from it all.

In addition to all the Moss Creek amenities and access to Hilton Head activities, there are some additional unique benefits of our particular location. First, the cottage is a private, separate house and not part of some condo development. Combined with being on a small island of 13 cottages, it is very private location. It is centrally located to all Moss Creek facilities; an easy walk or bike ride. Second, it is easy to get to places within Hilton Head from Moss Creek. You can easily escape the traffic and delays that sometimes beleaguer Hilton Head. Third, and the wife added this one, it is close to the outlet stores. Actually, it is a little too close for my liking but it is almost literally across the street. Again, a good way to beat the traffic.
