Börja en sommartradition i hjärtat av Grand Beach! Sky Haven ligger tvärs över gatan från sjön på en av byens högsta punkter. Det är den perfekta samlingsplatsen för familj och vänner. Simma i den 20'x40 "privata poolen, sitta med dina barn i den mindre bifogade" barnen "poolen eller koppla av i badtunnan precis vid sovrummet. Titta på några av de bästa solnedgångarna i VÄRLDEN från bakdäck och dra upp sjöbrisen. Utsikt över sjön är delvis blockerad av träd och ett par vackra hem tvärs över gatan så gå nerför blocket och ha tårna i sanden inom några minuter. Lekplats, tennisbanor och basket är en fem minuters vagnstur bort, liksom en annan tillgång till stranden med en brygga och bäck. Glöm inte dina klubbar eftersom golf är bara en två minuters vagnstur från denna ultimata sommarflukt!

Det gigantiska sovrummet är perfekt för en familj på fem + eller bara ett par eftersom det har sex extra sängar utöver kungen. Den lägre nivån är värd ytterligare två sovrum med fyra bunked tvillingar och en spjälsäng i ett rum, och en drottning i det andra.

Perfect place for 3 generation family vacation. Kids loved the pool and the beach is 1 block away. The house had everything we needed. It’s a little out of town (4 miles) but in a nice neighborhood. Communication with owner was smooth and easy. We would definitely stay again if the chance arises.

We had a great time at Sky Haven. Our host was very attentive. The space was wonderful. The pool was a good size and in almost constant use. Great indoor and outdoor dining spaces for our group. Having two refrigerators was a big plus as was the separate coffee bar. The pool table was a hit. Our major beach time was spent at nearby New Buffalo and Warren Dunes as the nearby beach was a bit rocky, but still a good place for a dip or watching the sunset. The golf cart got plenty of use on the nearby golf course and was great for those injured to get about. One disapointment was the lack of a bigger screen TV for our group to all watch the World Cup final.

The perfect getaway!

We had a large group that included children and this place was perfect for us. The pool was a huge hit. So much better than a condo with a shared pool. The host was very responsive and helpful. We will be back!

Great stay at a great location!

Overall, we had a great stay! The house worked great for 12 of us, including kids. The owner was quick to respond and accommodating. The outdoor area was the star of the week with a giant pool and fire pit. Would recommend and stay again.

Great vacation spot!!!

Our family of 10 enjoyed this property a LOT! From the big pool, 16’ outdoor umbrella covered table, great sleeping quarters, a Cabana (for late nighters) and a beach & other play spaces nearby, we enjoyed it all! Robert was immediate with responses to questions as well as supplying the house with everything you would need away from home (e.g. like a hotel)! He also provided details about the area that were very helpful (I.e. grocery stores, restaurants, etc). We highly recommend this property for a GREAT vacation! Thank you Robert for providing the space that made our time together so fun!

Carmichael Grand Beach Week

Great fun, nice house, huge pool, hot tub, very close to Lake Michigan, 9 hole golf course in your lap, your own golf cart, half way between New Buffalo and Michigan City. Going back next year.

Relaxing location

We spent the week with our children and grandchildren. The kitchen was well stocked. Beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas along with the golf cart were a huge bonus. The host was very helpful and response time was quick.

Great Family Vacation Home

The home was perfect for our growing family ages 1 years old to 68. Plenty of room for everyone and the pool is fantastic. The neighborhood beach is very rocky and was not suitable for our group. We did drive to New Buffalo Beach and enjoyed the sand and water. Would definitely rent this home again.

Grand Beach

We had a wonderful time at this home. The owner, Robert, was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. The home was perfect for our large multi generational group. There were plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained…pool, foosball, billiards..and the golf cart was an added bonus. We hope to be back!

July 4th at SkyHaven

Our family had a wonderful time at SkyHaven last week. The property was perfect for our large group. The kids loved piling into the bunk room and the adults had plenty of space as well. It had every amenity that you'd expect and we really enjoyed having access to the kayaks, golf cart and fire pit. The beach and lake were awesome but it was so relaxing poolside that we spent most of our time there. Grand Beach is a great lakeside community.

Sky Haven is a Dream

What a Great Spot and Robert is one of the best owners I've ever worked with. I've been renting in the Grand Beach area for over 20 year the SkyHaven is a charming and wonderful spot. You don't need to bring anything except food and drink. All the best to Robert and SkyHaven!!! Kevin and family.

Family Trip 2023

We had a wonderful week at Skyhaven! House was well stocked with every kitchen pot/pan/dish needed for large group as well as 2 refrigerators and 2 ovens. Large pool and deck were awesome! Only complaints were ants in kitchen upon arrival and downstairs bathroom had plumbing issue on last night. Robert was very quick to respond, and we would definitely rent from him again!

Great Week in Grand Beach

The property is as promised. It suited our family perfectly for the week, with plenty of rooms and beds for three couples and four children. The golf cart was clutch and got us to the beach, the park, and (of course) the golf course. Two refrigerators were also useful...one for food and one for beverages. The key feature of the home, however, was the pool. Clean, a great size, and a real draw for our grandkids during the week. Finally, Robert was excellent...responsive, and informative. Overall, it was a great week!

Beach Wedding and vacation

Robert was probably the nicest "owner" we have ever be in contact with. He responded quickly to my questions and needs. Even after we checked out, he still responded to me. Lovely home, near Lake Michigan. Met his Mom when we were checking in. Lovely person too. I took all kinds of product with me, like TP and soaps, but it was not needed. The house was well stocked. You cannot go wrong renting this property.

Fantastic! Would book again, Family Friendly!!

Loved Sky Haven! Evening family meals by the pool, seating for 12 or more outside. Pool and hot tub in great shape- played all afternoon, enjoyed the outdoor speaker system. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. Kayaks and pool/beach toys for more outside fun. Family friendly golf course with driving range. Bikes for cruising. Beach was 5min walk, enjoyed sunset almost every evening. Cards and gameroom, pool table in basement. Master bedroom had King bed and 3 bunks. Basement had even more bunk beds- kids enjoyed the sleeping arrangements. We unplugged from the world- but WiFi and Cable TV available if you want to plug back in. Golf cart was convenient to get around- and this is a Golf cart community. Had a great time!! Highly recommend it. Owner was always available by cellphone. Oh- we didn't even have time for the Firepit- which had a nice stand and a grilling surface, skewer sticks for roasting marshmallows in the garage.

Misrepresented advertisement, poorly maintained, way over priced

We have been renting houses in SW Michigan for 10 plus years. Of the places we have stayed, this home is the most expensive and the most disappointing. There are items that we expected to have and to find while renting a home, and this home unfortunately, lacks many of these amenities and had many problems. • There was duct tape holding the floor in the master bathroom together. This is an unacceptable eyesore, which we unfortunately have to see every time we use the bathroom because the door won't clear over the rug. • No hooks - IN THE ENTIRE HOUSE - not even in the cabana. For a house that has a pool and isn't far from the beach, there is nowhere to hang wet suits/towels. We actually bought 3m hooks and hung them in all the bathrooms and bedroom. • There was a lack of bath towels for the number of guests that you can house. • There were weeds covering the entire property which is very unsightly. • The window treatments hanging in the big bedroom weren't hung right and fell down the first time we tried to close the drapery. The decor in general was lackluster. • Dead bugs and debris filled the sliding door tracks, especially in the bedroom • Laundry room was gross and not amply lit • Toilet paper holder in the hall bath didn't hold toilet paper and breaks apart when used with toilet paper • Inflatable pool toys all had holes • Hammock was broken and unusable • The house was generally unclean; dust and dirt under sofas and in corners of bedrooms • Most screens had sizable holes • All of our guests complained that the mattresses were uncomfortable • Cabana bathroom had holes in the walls • Grey bedroom light only worked when the fan is on, and bulbs were missing from fixture • Broken fan light in the main room over table • There was no small cabinet in master bathroom for toiletries (medicine cabinet is gross, and again since no hooks...literally nowhere to put your belongings like clothes, towels, etc...except the floor, which is being held together with duct tape!) • And ALL of our past houses have at least been stocked with basics like toilet paper (and really every one has had much more, but TP?!) The owner's response was that he would reimburse us for light bulbs, but not toilet paper. And he admitted his place could use some work, but suggested we look in a different area for updated accommodations. Stay here if you want to cram a bunch of people together; don’t if you want to feel like you’re on vacation.

Of the small few items above that aren't gross exaggerations or lies, I have already made improvements where necessary. Additionally, a very small hairline crack that occured during a rental had to be covered with tape for two weeks. That bathroom has already been re-tiled. ......................Now some facts.....................First, this person contacted me one month before their family's stay and claimed that their second payment due must have been an error, all this after booking many months earlier. They argued that they never would have booked because it was way over their budget. I offered to relist the property and provide a full refund if I was able to book it in the month prior to the stay. They declined the offer. ...................Second, after their stay they demanded a $2,500 refund, which I refused as their claims were either untrue or inconsequential. I have a team of professional cleaners, pool servicemen, and a landscaper, as well as mattresses mostly 2 years old just to rebuke a few of their claims. I even refunded their full damage deposit after they smoked in my house and left it in the worst condition since I began renting. ..............................I absolutely love sharing my home and meeting new people. I do everything within reason - and beyond - to make this place as close to perfect as possible. I am so lucky and feel fantastic to have had dozens of families that have absolutley loved staying at Sky Haven. Please come visit me any time during the offseason to have a look around before you book. Many others have and went on to enjoy fantastic vacations. I've spent every summer of my life in Grand Beach and look forward to many more. I love to cook, golf, dine out and sample craft beers which makes Southwest Michigan an ideal home-base. I work in Chicago and am especially interested in introducing this wonderful corner of the world to those who have not yet experienced it to its fullest. Grand Beach is a small community that you need to experience for yourself. Primarily developed in the teens and twenties, it retains all the charm that's been accumulated over the years. From the Frank Lloyd Wright homes and white Sears Cottages, to the Mid-Century Ranches and Multi-Million Dollar Mansions, this is a beautifully balanced, perfectly ideal beach community.

This property is a 1960's mid-century modern ranch with stylish yet comfortable furnishings and all the amenities one could ask for. The home is located on top of a dune with the lake to the West and a golf course to the East. Its proximity to New Buffalo and Michigan City gives you the choice everyday to enjoy the village of Grand Beach or head into town for any number of activities.
