We stayed at Miami Vice for the week of Sept 12-19, 2015 (review site would not let us select dates earlier than October 2015). This was a little before the busy season, so we didn't have any crowds to contend with anywhere on the island. We went more for a peaceful getaway, than for tourist attractions.
The property, inside and out, was very clean, and the kitchen was well equipped for our stay. Our private infinity edge pool was very nice, and had lighting for night use. There was a good sized propane bbq, lounge chairs with umbrella, and outside shower near the pool. Bring sunscreen, seriously.
There is another rental on the property that is a 2 bedroom, but there is good privacy, with only the gated driveway and shared access to the ocean in common. The rentals both included kayaks at the ocean access.
Our rental manager gave us a good walk-through, and supplied us with a cell phone for local calls. Very friendly and helpful customer service.
There are few houses in this area, all nice, and no hotels or crowds. The hotels are mostly along the north shore. There is a good restaurant nearby to the east. Farther to the east, through a local neighborhood, we found where the local fishermen bring in their daily catch. Good size lobster, crab, fish, etc at very good prices. Watch for local bbq along the roads. Expect higher prices on anything not local, but that is common to any of the islands.
This property is in a good location away from crowds, has spectacular views, and easy access to everything else on the island via rental car (for us). Note that this is the BRITISH West Indies, so they all drive on the wrong side. I managed to get it down quickly, without hitting anyone. We didn't have a lot of traffic to contend with, but I imagine it's a lot different during the high season. The road the property is on, is along the southern edge of a salt cay that separates it from the busier north side of the island.
If you want to be in the middle of things, parties, etc, you would want to stay somewhere along the north shore. If you want privacy and essentially your own property that lacks nothing, I highly recommend this one.
Note that this is not a place for anyone that might have trouble with stairs. The bedroom, bath and shower are all upstairs.
