En bekvÀm 2 sovrum stuga, det frÀmsta sovrummet med en 5ft dubbelsÀng, baksidan med tvilling 3ft singlar. Den har ett elegant badrum med golvvÀrme och ett badkar med dusch över. I vardagsrum / matsal finns matbord och stolar förutom stor skinnsoffa, golvvÀrme och satellit-TV. Franska dörrar leder hÀrifrÄn till en stor söderlÀge skifferterrass med teakbÀnkar och skifferbord. Det vÀlutrustade köket har en elektrisk Aga, som hÄller den bekvÀmt mysig under hela Äret, en frukostbar med avföring, en diskmaskin och gott om lagringsutrymme. Fastigheten har ocksÄ en tvÀttmaskin / torktumlare och obegrÀnsad höghastighets wi-fi bredband.

Den dramatiska North Cornwall kusten Àr lÀttillgÀnglig; Port Isaac bara 3 miles, Polzeath och Rock bara 6 miles. MÄnga miles av National Trust kustlinjen ger spektakulÀra promenader. Bra surfing strÀnder, skyddshus vikar och den vackra Camel mynning erbjuda nÄgot för alla; simning, surfing, segling, kitesurfing, segling, kajakpaddling, rodd, bÄtturer etc.

Inlandet finns det bra promenader pÄ Bodmin Moor, och mÄnga och olika turistattraktioner. Eden-projektet Àr ett mÄste, och ligger bara 20 minuters bilresa bort.

Retreat in magical garden

Beautiful property owned by a couple both of whom have gardening backgrounds. You feel like you in the middle of an historic, well cared for estate. We had one major problem and that was finding the property. Somehow we did not get good directions. The name of the property in the online description would have helped. The Coachman’s Cottage is just the name on the rental unit. Once there the owners were very helpful, accommodating.

Excellent location to explore the south west of Cornwall. Homely cottage. Just right for 2 people. Lovely to have the St Kew Inn just 300 yards away. Very popular so bookings essential. Do try the moules. They were delicious.

Cosy little cottage

We had a lovely stay at this cottage. Very clean and the perfect size for me and my husband and our 5yr old. Perfect base to explore what Cornwall has to offer. This was a very last minute booking so we're lucky to have found it! Very happy with our stay.

Absolutely stunning

Absolutely loved it! Very very clean beautifully furnished character property set in idyllic gardens and peaceful surroundings in a good location for exploring the north and south coasts of Cornwall. Coachman's Cottage - September 2021

Lovely cottage located in a fantastic garden - very peaceful and private. Indoors the cottage is maintained to a high standard and is even more comfortable than the pictures suggest. Everything we needed for our stay was readily available. As newcomers to Aga cooking we rose to the challenge and successfully cooked a few meals on it! St Kew itself is well located near to main roads allowing for easy trips around the coast or South to Bodmin / St Austell - plenty of interest within 30 minutes drives!

Wunderbare Unterkunft in toller Umgebung

Das Cottage erfĂŒllte alle unsere Erwartungen. Wundervolle Lage, super Ausgangpunkt fĂŒr AusflĂŒge, sehr gemĂŒtlich. Besonders toll war der persönliche Empfang durch Sandy samt der netten EinfĂŒhrung in die Besonderheiten des Hauses (der AGA-Herd ist klasse!). Dazu stand eine vorbereitete Tea-Time mit frischem Shortbread bereit - unglaublich nett. Die Ausstattung des Cottages war hervorragend, uns fehlte nichts. Die Übernahme war super einfach, Sandy und Tom sehr hilfsbereit. Wir können das Cottage nur wĂ€rmstens weiter empfehlen und wĂŒrden jederzeit wiederkommen. Herzlichen Dank fĂŒr die schöne Zeit!

Dream cottage

Fantastic cottage set in three acres of landscaped garden

The best cottage my husband and I have stayed in. We were made to feel very welcome, homemade shortbread left in the kitchen, delicious! Everywhere was beautifully clean, in fact it sparkled, from the glassware to the bathroom taps. It was warm and cosy, and the furnishings of a high standard. Tucked away in a small village, so many lovely places were easily accessible to visit. We would thoroughly recommend this cottage for a family or a couple. We would not hesitate to return if we were in the area again. Thank you to Sandie and Tom.

A very enjoyable stay.

My wife and I received a warm welcome to a very clean and well-ordered cottage. Everything we needed for easy living was available and the owners were helpful in giving us information about appliances and also facilities in the local area, including the characterful St Kew Inn. The amazingly extensive and well-stocked garden is delightful and we were allowed free access to all parts. Our only (slight) adverse comment is that as natural light is somewhat reduced by surrounding trees the lighting in the living room could be warmer and brighter. Overall a most enjoyable experience. If the option were available we would make the score 4.8 out of 5.

A tranquil home from home

We are a family of four and we spent a week at the Coachmans Cottage in August. The property has surpassed our expectations. The cottage is immaculate and very well equiped. Our children loved exploring the garden which is HUGE! Sandy and Tom couldn’t have been more welcoming and were able to recommend some wonderful places to visit. The cottage is well placed for exploring North Cornwall whilst offering a tranquil retreat from the busy/touristy areas during the high season.

Tom and Sandy Chadwick have lived in St Kew since 1979, initially running six holiday apartments in a big old house. When our children left home we downsized, converting our stables into a comfortable home, “Reskesen”, and the adjacent coach house into a home for Tom’s mother. This cottage we now let as “Coachmans Cottage”, and, yes, it really was a coach house!

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

St Kew is a very small, peaceful village set in rural North Cornwall, close to some spectacular stretches of the north coast, whilst being just far enough inland to escape the busy coastal scene. Coachman’s Cottage was originally a coach house, now converted into a charming and cosy two bedroom cottage at the end of a 100 metre private drive, surrounded by three acres of woodland gardens. This idyllic rural setting in a sheltered valley location offers peace and quiet, and visitors are encouraged to use and enjoy the garden, whether for breakfast, a barbecue or just drinks on the terrace. Some of our magnificent trees are hundreds of years old, and the huge variety of plants, the tumbling streams, exuberant shrubberies and the sweeping lawns create a wonderful environment for wildlife: from barn owls to goldcrests, newts to otters, several species of bats, an occasional deer, and a dazzling display from damselflies and butterflies. This is a very special place.

The 15th century St Kew Inn, serving Cornish ales and great food is about 300 metres away. Just 3 miles away is the little harbour village of Port Isaac (better known as Port Wenn to Doc Martin fans); within six miles are the popular beaches of Polzeath, Rock, and Daymer Bay, variously popular for surfing, sailing and other water sports. Padstow is just the other side of the estuary, and a few miles up the coast are the historic villages of Boscastle and Tintagel. Wadebridge is a pleasant little town just 5 miles away which provides all the usual amenities; also easy access to the Camel Trail, great for miles of off-road walking and cycling (bike hire available), much of it alongside the fabulous Camel Estuary. There are a number of golf courses. in the area, including the St Kew course just one mile away, and the spectacular St Enodoc just six miles away.
