We love Sandpiper Cove!

This was our 3rd stay at Sandpiper Cove and our 2nd stay at this specific condo. The property is well maintained and the condo itself is comfy and perfect for a couple or small family.

The unit is spacious and had nearly everything we needed. I saw older reviews that mentioned the tub not draining properly and thought it wouldn’t be an issue. However, it still is an issue. The drain doesn’t stay up and drains slowly. The air vents are also filthy. But, it was an easy check-in and check-out process and the location was great for accessing the beach and Destin favorites.

Needs work

I wouldn’t stay in this unit again. The main reasons are needs some upgrades and lack of general maintenance is apparent. There was an empty air freshener hanging from the air vent in kitchen in attempt to cover up the smell of the unit. There was some suspicious electrical wiring and some outlets didn’t work. The refrigerator opened weird you had to move to get it open. The air vent were dirty.

Wonderful vacation rental

This condo was perfect for our 4 night stay at the beach. It was walking distance to the private beach and was close to everything. Great restaurants along the harbor. Chad was amazing at getting back to us with anything we needed. A must stay place in Destin!

May Getaway

We always stay at Sandpiper Cove but it was our first time staying in Cajun Fun. It was warm and cozy. Furniture was very comfortable. Loved the bed!!!! The refrigerator confused us with the door opening but got use to it. Will be staying at Cajun Fun again!

great BUT...

The Cajun Fun is nice but I feel I have to say we had a roach problem. I found them in the kitchen, bathroom and around the sink in the walk thru from bedroom to closet. Even though I was visiting Florida and was told we share the state with these bugs I am not sharing my living quarters with roaches. I took photos and they are not small insects. Deal breaker for me regarding this property. I have stayed at several locations at Sand Piper Cove and i have NEVER had that problem. The refrigerator door opens backwards and you have to make a deliberate push to shove it closed or it will stay open. The bathtub does not drain properly. I read the other reviews "after" my issues and see that my issues are not new and that the management team says they will address but no changes have been made. The stress of dealing with roaches would be the reason i would not rent Cajun Fun again.

Very nice condo

Great location, very clean. The only reason would not stay again is because the bed is up do high - very hard to get in. I am 5' 10" and it was not easy to get in. If they get a step latter with two or three steps it would work well for anyone.

Good stay

The condo was clean and in a good location (although I don’t recommend trying to do without a rental car like we did). Owner provided dishwasher tabs, laundry detergent, plenty of towels, and comfy blankets. Only thing we were lacking was Kleenex. Could have done without the baby cockroaches all over (plus a couple full grown), but I’m assuming that’s just part of staying in Florida.

Disappointed

This was our first time renting away from our regular owners and it was not a good decision. The manager was very responsive to our request for the Wi-Fi info and the bed was very comfortable. However, there were roaches-baby to adult sized. The curtains had stains all over them. It looked as if they’ve NEVER been washed. Not a good location for kids. Our girls were yelled at by golfers to move as they were looking for lizards around the back deck. The refrigerator doors are on backwards which made getting in and out, very awkward. The door would often be found not completely shut bc the door rubbed the wall everytime the door was open and closed. The roaches were it for us, we couldn’t wait to get home!

3rd year in a row

We have stayed here three years in a row and always enjoy it. The condo is very clean and close to proximity to all major attractions in Destin. We are allowed to bring our two little dogs, which makes it a true family vacation. Will continue to always stay with them.

Great compound…disappointing condo

I am sorry to say while I loved the complex and the very friendly people…the condo itself had an overwhelming odor, 2 sliders that wouldn’t open due to dilapidation, and a bedroom window that would not lock. This was bare bones and no personal touches. I did meet a gentleman running the unit who was very nice..I simply hadn’t been in the unit long enough to see the issues. I hope this condo is updated soon and it would resolve the issues. The restaurant on site was incredible!
