Beautiful property

Absolutely beautiful property which suited our needs perfectly! Unfortunately we were on a business trip working long days so didn't get to take advantage of the fab amenities

Lovely place

We booked the school rooms for an extended family trip. There were 9 of us including 2 children. The school rooms were lovely, clean, comfortable and well equipped, with fresh homemade bread and jam waiting for us when we arrived. James and Elle were very helpful and easy to contact for any queries I had and their welcome information (directions, things to do etc) was very useful. Box is a lovely little town and the location is ideal for Bath and Longleat as well as a number of other interesting places. It felt like home away from home for a few days. The only downside was that the 3 bathrooms were all en-suite so for the 4 staying in the living room on pull-out beds it was a little inconvenient but only mildly so. I would highly recommend a stay in this lovely location.

Host lovely and communicative

My husband and I stayed here for our two-year wedding anniversary, and it was just perfect. A quick 15 min drive into Bath for the spa, shops and restaurants, while nestled in quaint little Box itself. The host was lovely and communicative, even leaving us a little anniversary card. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.

Just perfect

Thoroughly enjoyable

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Old School Rooms. The property was perfect for our party of 10 enjoying a low-key hen weekend close to Bath. The location was ideal – Box was close enough to travel on the bus into Bath to enjoy a scavenger hunt and trip to the Thermae Spa, yet offering a quiet and quaint village experience. We enjoyed a takeaway from the lovely Indian restaurant just down the road thanks to tips from the host. Although we did not meet the hosts (allowing us privacy) they offered tips and detailed instructions before we arrived, including how to check-in, tips on public transport, restaurants and shops close by as well as parking and how to find the property easily. There is parking for two/three cars on the drive but we had a further three cars and had no problem finding street parking close to the property. The large living area was perfect for getting together to play games and enjoy food and drink. I would return to The Old School Rooms and really recommend the property for a weekend with friends or a family getaway. A picturesque location and comfortable stay!

Great place to stay with the family or friends

It was lovely to find tea, coffee, milk, sugar and homemade jam upon arrival. We had bought some drinks and bread, but that was an unexpected extra and very much appreciated. It's a lovely cosy place and we loved playing a round of pool. My daughter already plans to come back with her friends.

Good places for groups

Well equiped with plenty of space. Even though we went in April we were unable to use the pool (was a bit green). If sleeping more than 6 it is worth baring in mind all the bathrooms are in the bedrooms so anyone sleeping on the 2 sofa beds will need access to the bedroom bathrooms. Nice little touch from the owners who left a few essentials for us.
