We loved our stay! The house had everything we needed and provided us with a wonderful space to relax when we weren’t exploring the area! We also appreciated that Susan responded quickly to any questions we had!

After two weeks traveling around Scotland and staying at a dozen different self-catering spots, this place was the gold standard. Susan‘s place was perfect: easy and convenient access to a whole corner of the country, impeccably clean and appointed (perfect for our toddler grandbaby), delightfully comfortable and cozy. On our return flight to the US my daughter said, ˋI wish we’d spent more time in Inverness, and I couldn’t agree more…

If I could give it 10 stars, I would. It is by far the best rental we’ve had anywhere. It was clean, well stocked, beautifully decorated and maintained. I didn’t want to leave. The owner is delightful, warm, friendly and responsive. It would be perfect for couples or families. It has games and toys for kids, dog bowls and beds, kid gates, etc. I can’t give it enough praise. We will definitely return over and over again.

Susan is a great host. This was comfortably the best property we’ve stayed in. She has thought of pretty much everything. The beds are supremely comfortable, great living room, excellent garden - which can be fully enclosed if you’re travelling with a pooch. Daviot is a great location for exploring in and around Inverness. 10 mins or so to the city centre, 10-15 mins to Culloden, 45 mins to Aviemore.

This place was so comfy, cozy, and clean! Susan was a great host and easy to communicate with. The house was very well appointed and had great amenities. It was a perfect spot to get away from it all, while still being close to Inverness for necessities. 10/10, would stay again!

Stunning, comes to mind. From the moment we arrived, we were really taken with the location, the beauty of the place, and all the thoughtful touches! There were 3 big bedrooms, with the most comfy beds!! There were 3 washrooms-- 2 with showers and one with a tub. The kitchen was amazingly well-stocked and well-equipped. There was a cozy table to eat at in there, or a lovely big dining table just off the kitchen, with a cozy sitting room attached. The location is excellent! Inverness is only about a 10 minute drive, Culloden is about 15 minutes away, and amazing sights like Cawdor castle to the east ( about 35 min), Urquhart Castle and the Highland coos at Drumnadrochit to the south ( about 30 min) and the oh so amazing Highland Wildlife Park and the Highland Folk Museum down at Kingussie ( only about a 45 min drive) ( yes I'm Canadian -- we measure distance in time. Nothing was too far!) Our host Susan was very attentive, and quick to respond to any enquiries we had. She was quite attentive and so lovely to deal with! What an amazing find! The outdoor spaces and views were incredible. We will be back!

We were in Scotland with my young children and parents for 12 nights, and our 4 nights at the Old Police House were by far the most enjoyable. It is beautiful, comfortable and in a great location. We would definitely stay here again.
