Extraordinary cabin that is perfect for getting away from it all! All the comforts of home in a beautiful, private large property. We saw wildlife, hiked all over in the woods and were given fresh eggs and honey from the hosts. Frank and Micki are determined to make your stay comfortable and memorable. They are responsive to requests and delightful people to talk with. Highly recommended!

This was the 3rd time we stayed at this lovely cabin. It's impeccably clean and stocked with everything you need. The hosts are the friendliest and loveliest folks you could hope to have. For the price, you can't beat this place.

Pristine mountain getaway

Secluded perfectly situated cabin in the mountains, with streams, ponds and miles of hiking trails. Everything you need within the spotlessly clean & comfy cabin. Mici & Frank were the best, most attentive hosts we have ever experienced ! Would MOST HIGHLY recommend this property

Another awesome stay

This was our 2nd time staying at this hidden gem. I don't think I've ever stayed at a cleaner cabin. Frank and Micki are absolutely the most hospitable hosts you can imagine. The cabin is furnished with all the amenities you might want while still retaining it's rustic charm and the feeling that you are "off the grid" a little bit. We look forward to returning. Thanks for another wonderful getaway.

45th Anniversary Trip

This was the nicest cabin. Just perfect. The owners were so nice and came down and gave us eggs from their chickens. We had such a great time around the campfire and the bed was so comfortable. We recommend this cabin so much and hope to enjoy it again sometime.

Elkwater Fork Cabin

Beautiful cabin fully stocked with absolutely everything we could possibly need.. literally all we had to do was bring food. The hosts were amazing super attentive and caring for our needs. Making sure everything was perfect. Frank and Micki went above and beyond to be fantastic hosts for our stay. We will definitely be back and highly recommend staying here if you want to get away and enjoy nature in these beautiful mountains. Thank you Frank and Micki for sharing your beautiful cabin with us.

"A Little Piece of Heaven"

My family and I enjoyed our get away from it all. The property is located in the middle of the most beautiful setting on a mountainside. Absolutely stunning views. There are trails throughout the property for some beautiful hiking. Most of all the property owner Frank was amazing. He gave us fresh farm eggs and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Frank's genuine kindness was hands down. The cabin was the most stocked VRBO I have ever rented. Beds were comfortable and the place was immaculate.

Fantastic treasure!

This property is one of the most excellent places we have stayed with Vrbo. The hosts were amazing (Micki, we can’t wait to meet you when we come back!). Frank is the most welcoming person on the face of the planet and did an amazing job though he said he didn’t normally do the walk through with guests. We were only here for two nights but we are already planning our next trip to this literal slice of heaven. If you’re someone who wants to be connected the entire time you’re here, let me tell you there is no cell service in the surrounding area. It’s in the Greenbank dead zone (if you don’t know what that is google it). However they have amazing internet at the cabin which will do Wi-Fi calling and text and streaming (the smart TV had zero problems when we logged into our streaming services) and anything else you need it to do. Just pre-plan and plug your route into gps before leaving the cabin. As far as what’s in the cabin that you need
 they have everything in the kitchen. Bring your Kcups! So enjoyed drinking my coffee on the front porch. The loft was the perfect space for our 14 year old. The bed was soft and amazing as was the couch and recliner. Shower had all the hot water for 3 people (and I take a long shower) and water pressure was perfect. Games! So many games to play! Also great collection of DVDs and CDs for listening/watching. Surround sound that was amazing for hooking up our phones to and enjoying our own playlists. Let’s talk about communication! Frank checked in with us and made sure we were taken care of in all the ways. He called before our trip to tell us all about the cabin and what it had and told us he would meet us when we arrived, walked us through where everything was that we would need and we even got to go see their goats and chickens on our way out which my daughter hasn’t stopped talking about. To be honest, this was the most relaxing and incredible mini vacation we have had in a long time and we cannot wait to come back!

Awesome Cabin for our 35th Anniversary

Our stay was GREAT! This was our 35th wedding anniversary weekend and we had a blast. The cabin was beautiful, very cozy and clean, and the Honey was very tasty. Loved watching the deer from the kitchen window too. We will be back and thank you for a wonderful weekend. ❀

Words can not describe how terrific this cabin was. They have thought of everything when it comes to staying here. The cabin is fully stocked with games, movies, cooking equipment, and even pantry necessities. We loved walking around the peaceful woods and finding gorgeous views of the mountains; there is even a cleared area with chairs to relax and have a nice picnic at. Communication with the owners was always efficient and friendly. Anytime we needed fire starters, wood, or even fresh honey from their bee hives they got it for us right away. The cabin was extremely clean when we arrived. I loved being on 200 acres with no one in sight; the ideal getaway. We will definitely be coming back soon. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway in the mountains away from any people then this is the place for you.

Perfect Weekend Getaway!

My partner and I spent a long weekend here. The cabin is exactly as pictured. It is warm and cozy with a great porch. The trails on the property are well-maintained and the views are gorgeous. The hosts are very kind and attentive. I highly recommend this place!

My husband and myself found this cabin to be the perfect little getaway to relax recharge. Frank and his wife were wonderful. They made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The cabin is secluded and peaceful. We will definitely be coming back.

Awesome Wilderness Hiking

While the location is rustic I would describe the cabin as much nicer than that. It was super clean and the owners go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. They gave us great tips on some places to check out and we had a great time hiking all over some awesome trails and state parks. We were supposed to go to Glacier National originally and we left here thrilled with the nature experiences we ended up having in West Virginia. I highly recommend this stay. We came from Wisconsin and I'm looking into a return for a winter ski trip.

Best Ever

Peaceful and quiet, secluded and private, clean and comfortable with a hands on personal touch. Enough said but I can’t quit there. Frank’s cabin was exactly as described and just what we were looking for. It is set on 200 acres of mountain top woods with very distinct walking trails. Yet the location provides easy access to several major attractions with day trips away. So we were able to see beautiful waterfalls, Green Bank Observatory, and Cass Railroad and still be back to the cabin in the afternoon to enjoy the serenity and relax before our next journey. Frank made himself available for anything we needed which was nothing, (best stock of essentials that we have ever experienced). We did appreciate the eggs and the great conversations we had. We would do it again and probably will. Would recommend strongly if you want to get away from crowds and traffic and enjoy nature and your companion.

Couldn't have been better

What a wonderful place and hosts. My wife and I finally managed to secure 3 nights together without our little guy; don't know if that's happened since we had the kiddo. We wanted to get off the grid a bit but also didn't want to travel too far away from where we live. I came upon this place and it was absolutely perfect. For starters, the hosts Frank and Mick, couldn't have been more helpful or friendlier. Their communication was great, they brought us some fresh eggs, and extended an invitation to see their goats. Additionally, the property was immaculately cleaned, furnished very well, and tastefully decorated with modern appliances. The outside grounds also boasted some nice hiking trails and the front porch deck was a perfect place to sit and chat or read a book. My wife and I couldn't have been more pleased and truly didn't have a single complaint. If this place catches your eye, you should have no hesitation that it will more than suffice for your getaway.
