När du går in i fastigheten från den privata gateda trädgården på baksidan, hälsas du med en öppen planlösning vardagsrum, matsal och kök med utsikt över stranden och havet via en hel vägg med glasdörrar i full längd. Detta rum ger fantastisk utsikt över Karibiska havet. Vardagsrummet är bekvämt inrett och har en stor plattskärms-TV med satellit och DVD, plus stereo. Det finns matplats för 8 personer med havsutsikt, och ett trevligt fullt utrustat kök med granitbänkskivor.

Även på bottenvåningen finns ett gäst sovrum inredda med 2 enkelsängar och angränsande gäst badrum. Det finns skjutdörrar som leder rakt ut från detta sovrum på den privata terrassen och stranden bortom.

På övervåningen finns 2 sovrum med king size-sängar, gott om garderobsutrymme, fint avslutade badrum (havsutsikt från duschen!), och främre och bakre terrasser för att ge dig både havs- och djungelutsikt. Det finns skjutdörrar som leder ut till havet terrassen där du kan koppla av på vadderade sittplatser och njut av utsikten. Detta är också en härlig plats att koppla av och titta på miljontals stjärnor i den karibiska nätthimmelen.

Framför villan finns en skuggad terrass och ett stort privat strandområde som leder ner mot vattnet. Det finns gott om solstolar, en skugga palapa med nedsänkt sittplatser, och också ett stort utomhus matbord med plats för 8. Perfekt för måltider utomhus och beach cookouts!

På baksidan av villaen har Serenity gott om parkeringsplatser och en helt ny pool (som ligger genom dörrvägen vid porten bredvid). Gästerna på Villa Serenity har exklusiv användning av denna pool under vistelsen) .

Villa Serenity är också bekvämt beläget inom en kort promenad från Be Live Oasis all-inclusive resort och Grand Bahia Principe resort där du kan köpa dag passerar för att använda resort anläggningar och underhållning. Bahia Principe Resort har också ett shoppingkomplex som heter Hacienda Dona Isabela, som har presentbutiker, bar och en bankomat. Villa Serenity ligger också en kort promenad från den nya Riviera Maya golfbanan. Riviera Maya Golf Club är den nyaste och mest spännande golfbanan här i Riviera Maya. Spanning 223 hektar och ligger inom 717 hektar av tropisk regnskog, var denna kurs designad av Robert Trent Jones II.

Fantastic spot, terrible time of year

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful spot, rental. We had the misfortune of booking in July when there was the worst Sargassum Sea grass accumulation in history. So the rotten egg smell pervaded everything, and we could not use the beach or swim in the ocean. It would be fantastic when there isn't a sea grass infestation.

Tortuga Vacation!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at Villa Serenity for 10 days and found the property very comfortable and appropriate for our needs. The caretakers, Elias and Rita, were terrific, answering any questions and did a great job. The most exciting part of the vacation were the giant loggerhead sea turtles who were nesting in the backyard. According to the volunteers (we called them the "Madres de Tortugas") the turtles laying their eggs were the same turtles hatched in the same area 20 years ago! The only downside was the Sargasso Grass on the beach, which made it hard to use the beach because flies were quite thick and the smell was strong. We used the pool instead and went to several cenotes in the area. A bit sad to get a house on the beach and not be able to use the beach, but that is the fault of Global Warming and not the house. The turtles made it exciting though! We saw tracks almost every day and had two nighttime sightings! Akumal has a nice tourist plaza that had some lovely restaurant's. We ate at Turtle Bay Cafe and Bakery twice. Food was terrific, Ruby served us both times and was equally delightful! There's also a fabulous seafood restaurant in the same plaza. All in all, a lovely vacation.

Relaxing vacation

Lovely staff and owners. Sargassum was a disappointment but you can’t predict that. Little ants wanted to be in food so put everything in containers! Beds were comfortable, pool adequate. View was outstanding. Secure and safe.

Beautiful despite all the sargassum

My kids first time out of the country! It’s a beautiful place! So happy we booked a place ON the beach! Unfortunately the seaweed was extremely bad!! There was no way to enjoy the beach at all & the smell was strong-couldn’t stand to have the windows open to enjoy the ocean waves. Pool is shared.There wasn’t really any instructions provided on checkin/checkout procedures like I have had at other rentals. We weren’t aware the AC had a ‘remote’ to control the settings. So the first night it was humid! I contacted the property manager and they came to look at our AC. We got it working on our own & then later realized you needed to POINT the remote at the AC unit. I think this was just a communication issue (& me being ignorant to this type of AC.Our groceries we had preordered to be at our rental didn’t arrive until after we were already there. I thought they would be there when we arrived but I had assumed & didn’t ask directly when I had ordered. We ended up walking over to the Beach Bikini Bar & ate. Very good food! It seemed like there was only 1 waitress/bartender working it & she was kind. My family & I had arranged to rent paddle boards-thankful I cancelled once I saw the seaweed. It would have been nice to have known about the seaweed & not be sold on.We had a great time with non-beach activities: private fishing, Akumal Natura Rescue, PRIVATE tour: ruins, turtles & cenote; eating in Akumal. Best food ever! Way better than Bahai Príncipe resort food!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Villa Serenity is great. The property was really clean, well appointed and well worked well. Having a daily cleaning service was really nice. The villa is right on the nicest stretch of beach in the area which is also pretty quiet and felt very safe. The pool is heated which is a bonus and a really nice option to have. You do really need a car to stay here as it's a little way out from any restaurants and supermarkets etc. Nearest restaurants are about 10 mins drive, although there is a beach bar 100yds away! The road to get to the villa from the main road could use some maintenance but we were fine in a small car. Akumal Direct were great to deal with, good communication and information provided before arrival etc. Hopefully we'll be back in future!

Lovely beachfront property

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is in a quiet part of the small community. Open the back doors and you step right on the beach. You can snorkel directly out to a mini reef and easily see some tropical fish, including angel fish, damsels, and flounders. We came during low season so some of the bedrooms smelled a little stale when we first arrived (likely from the house being shut up) but keeping the doors open solved that problem. It wasn’t spotless but it’s a beach front property so that’s hard to do. The kitchen is decently set up. Water pressure is great. The house comes with filtered drinking water, which was nice to find. The hosts out back were wonderful, super helpful. There is a restaurant a few houses down on the beach we could walk to for some meals and take out that worked out well for us. Just a note, the back patio is quite slippery when you first step out of the outdoor shower. The older people in our group struggled with this.

Comfy Home, Right on the Beach!

Our family (my husband & I with our 3 teens) don’t a week in Akumal in July 2024 and loved it! We’d definitely return to this home and to Akumal. Pros: Good ac - cold and all over the home Books available - nice touch, my son read 3 that were provided Towels/linens - luxurious & plentiful Showers - roomy with great water pressure Purified water available Ely & Rita - made the stay so comfortable by keeping both indoors and outdoors clean and comfortable Big dining table - sat all five of us no problem Closets - roomy Beach/patio seating - plenty of seating at the table, on the patio and on the beach!

We’ve stayed in multiple homes in this small stretch of Akumal and this property is one of the best! Great experience in every way, from check in to daily interaction with the housekeeper, security, the beach, etc. We loved our time here and 100% recommend the property to anyone seeking to escape to a quiet little piece of paradise.

Awesome place

This property was the perfect setup and location for our family of five. The kids loved the pool, the attractions near by were fun, the ocean gorgeous, location was safe and hosts were great. We definitely fell in love with the place and can’t wait to return.

Akumal & Scuba Diving Retreat

Nothing beats being able to step right outside the back porch right onto a groomed and clean beach front. Overall accommodations were great, Rita was consistent with cleaning and doing laundry (she even did the dishes)! Ramon, the night security guard sometimes scared us walking up to the house at night via the beach, but it was great knowing we were being looked out for. Ely was there to greet us when we arrived and made himself available for any needs, which we wound up not needing him considering the great care property amenities. The A/C was spot on and made a huge difference! Definitely recommend this place and the bikini bar just a few houses down the beach was very convenient.

Wonderful week on the beach

Villa serenity for our family of 6 perfectly. Private beach with life jackets, sand toys, and kayaks. Rita was so helpful in housekeeping and made us a delicious meal. Alejandro was available via text to answer questions and was a great resource for answering questions and booking excursions. Wonderful place by the ocean, yet away from the big resort feel.

Wonderful Beach House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time at this spot. Best stretch of beach and a quiet neighborhood. The pool was very nice and warm - kitchen was well stocked and beds were very comfortable. The staff did a wonderful job of keeping the house clean and helped with anything we needed. Great area to stay in - close to all the local attractions while being away from the craziness of the larger towns in the area. Our favorite day trips were Cenote Azul, Yal-ku Lagoon - just make sure you go the old entrance. We also had a great dinner at La Buena Vida and a good lunch at Lol-Ha Restaurant. We did do a day trip to the ruins in Tulum - the ruins were interesting and in a beautiful spot but be aware of the amount of haggling you will need to do to park and get tickets. Also if you want to do a day trip to Tulum to see the beach etc. we found that you need pay lots of $$$ to get a spot at one of the beach clubs to even see the water. The little bar/retaurant two doors down from the house - Bikini Bar is a great little spots for drinks. We would definite recommend this house and would stay here again.

Akumal November Getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall our experience was good but we felt some things weren't as advertised and need attention. The best part of this property is the beach, hands down. Also, Eli and Rita are wonderful and took great care of us all. Things that were disappointing: No bedside lamp of any kind in the downstairs bedroom (We needed Eli to find us a lamp so we werent stuck with the single overhead fan lamp shining from above while trying to relax. The cement couches arent very comfortable and dont accommodate more than 2 or 3 people at a time. The stove requires a lighter to ignite. The toaster oven control/lettering are all worn off making it confusing to use. The refrigerator/freezer quits cooling, randomly, risking lots of food and safety. The pool is clean and refreshing but there are only TWO chaise's available and they had lots of bird droppings on them that was cleaned off despite asking. Definitely not enough seating for 6 people. The road into the condo from the highway is in horrible condition. Last, the pictures used in the listing must be fairly dated as the property doesnt look much like them. We did enjoy being able to run down to Tulum or up to Play del Carmen. We loved being able to walk down the beach to the beachside restaurants. The kayaks were a nice touch as was the well groomed beach. We enjoyed our stay but wish some things, as above, were in better condition and more comfortable.

Wonderful Family Trip

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was an amazing vacation. Beautiful beach and home in a really quiet area. The pictures don’t really do justice to how beautiful it was to relax on the lounger in the shade as your stress blows away in the breeze. We brought our own snorkelling gear so the family enjoyed snorkelling right in front of the home. The owners lived next door and were so kind and thoughtful. They had kayaks and adult life jackets out but the waves were a tad rough for the kids to use. That said, when they saw that we had little kids, brand new children’s life jackets magically appeared the next day. The home also had a team that would maintain the grounds, provide overnight security watch and clean the home and rooms daily. They were so kind. We speak no Spanish so it was so sweet of them to be patient when we tried to chat.We loved the quiet and peaceful location. We rented a car so it was really easy to get around. Public transport is not easily accessible without walking a ways away but if you have a rental car and enjoy peace and quiet this is your spot. Thank you to our host and their staff for a memorable family vacation.

Family getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The house is beautiful and well maintained. Rita came every day and cleaned and made sure everything was in its place. The house always smelled so good when we would come back after enjoying our vacay out and about. She even cooked two meals for us that were very good! Eddie the grounds keeper was very attentive and so pleasant. He would help us out when we needed transportation to town. He does a nice job keeping the grounds maintained and raked the sand in front it the house every day. We were greatful that we stayed here and enjoyed walking the beach. The Beached Bikini was an added bonus a few doors down which is a fun bar and grill with great cocktails. We spent a day at the all inclusive resort Bahia Principe and a sunset cruise in Akumal. Thank you to our concierge David for being so attentive to our questions and helping us make decisions for the activities we wanted to take part of. All in all I give this place a 10/10 and we will be back! The sargasso seaweed was a drag but we didn’t let it wreck our trip! The pool is also a plus when we got hot and didn’t want to jump in the ocean. The neighbors next door were so kind and sweet.

Villa Serenity

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was in a good location....the staff was fabulous and took good care of us ❤️ the disappointment was the Sargassum on the beach but we tried not to let that interfere with swimming in the ocean.... The days that it was thick we had a great pool to swim in....this pool however was located in the back yard of the place next door. The people next door owned both properties and we had access to the use of it .The Bikini bar down the beach was great and the massage hut further down was excellent and would recommend the. The neighbour on the other side of property (left hand side looking at the water ) was not very friendly and quite rude to us....later in the afternoon we would follow the sun on the beach and she didn’t want us to lay in the sun in front of her property although we were very close to the water and not in her yard/ property but apparently she thought she owed the property all the way to the water 🤦‍♀️
