We really enjoyed our stay. We had everything we needed from pool floaties to beach toys. Was fairly close to everything San Diego. We will rent again nexttime we visit.

The location was awesome. Fresh fruit from trees is awesome too! The house needs some maintenance and is full of eclectic furniture that needs to be thinned out a bit. but the house stayed cool and comfortable. And the pool was nice. Would stay again

The host was great at communicating and helping with whatever we needed. The pool was clean and refreshing. The yard could use a little work, wouldn't take much to be really nice. The house was just what we were looking for.

Great location.

The home was in a perfect place in between the city and beaches. Had plenty of rooms and amenities. There was a a few issues we had that was a problem for us and hopefully the owner fixes these for future renters. The house had a strong animal urine smell that was an issue all week and caused allergic issues. Another was the pool light was out and with the heat we wanted to swim at night but it wasn't safe. We found one of the pull out couches to have droppings in and caused some sleep arrangement issues and more allergic problems. Overall the house worked and was a good price point but should of been a little more renter ready.

I steamclean all tile and Murphy's oil all wood floors. No dogs since last March and all area rugs removed then, so my house cleaner and myself and lots of vacation renters that have stayed in between disagree. These people had 10 staying, and invited local brother etc. Pool was packed with kids when I came by and put up up color changing lights around the pool. They said they weren't bright enough. But waited until it was time for me to fly home. Neighbors said the kids enjoyed the pool the entire time. So much for spending hours and pool guy spending time cleaning. Nothing was appreciated. Glad it's over. I spent 2 solid days cleaning inside and out and landscaping before they arrived. They complained so they could get money back. They lied and said they were leaving a day early. But they stayed so no money back. Need to be honest. No animal urine smell guaranteed.

AMAZING stay!!

We had THE best time at this property. We stayed here for 10 nights (June-July 2023). Spacious kitchen. Good sized bedrooms and bathrooms. The pool was great and was stocked with plenty of pool toys/chairs. We spent a lot of time in the pool. The property also has an orchard and two of the days we got oranges from the orchard and made orange juice for the family in the electric juicer that the kitchen is stocked with. The kitchen was very well stocked and we cooked a lot. Cindy was the best host. She was always available by phone and calls. She even added extra security for my kiddos for the pool (though the pool is already fenced). Towards the end of my stay I had some Amazon items that I shipped out to her property (and the delivery of these items was delayed). She was so gracious and shipped these out for me. Last mention of ease of access to San Diego area and lots to do in the area. Would stay again!!

Thanks! Krystal has been asked to take a photo of that 2nd package for me so that I can send it to you so you and I can make sure I have the right label and maybe we can let Amazon know the label didn't work last time. I'm sure hoping it works when I go there and when I arrive and have Saturday to look around, I'm sure those other boxes aren't there but will be looking and asking both back tenants and the wine tasting room - Marcia. I'm going to text both of them right now too. I will pay you half for each package that didn't arrive. I feel like it's half my fault for not giving you the back house address to ship things to so that they are safe. I'm thinking someone that went wine tasting...I'm so sad because I brought my security camera down and was going to install it on the front of the garage in place of a carriage light and am now so sad because I didn't find the time to do it and also because I forgot to bring the bracket is really why, there was no way to hold it up. Cindy anyway, we will figure out after I go to UPS on Saturday August 20th, ....

mother/daughter time

This is not my first rodeo. I have been vacationing in VRBO homes for well over 20 years. So here is my story. Good stuff: Very effective a/c (as soon as Cindy turned it on), Inside home is very clean (kudos to Krystal). Kitchen pretty well equipped. 3 TV's but none worked properly. Could only watch movies or videos (no local). Not knowing what was happening in the world not such a bad thing for a few days I guess. Bad stuff: None of the pictures really showed what the yard was like. There is absolutely no grass, only scraps of green carpet laying here and there (strange). Lots of weeds and dirt. There is a 2-story home right next to the yard that looks down on the pool, so no privacy what-so-ever. Grove, what grove? Nothing but dead or dying trees. Plus there is someone living in a mobile home on one edge of the grove and has a hammock strung between the trees and assorted trash strewed around the ground.. Did not feel completely safe with that situation (we had no men with us except first night) I had invited some friends to hang out at the pool and have dinner with us for my birthday, but asked them not to come because I was embarrassed by the yard situation. Overall, Cindy was easily available for any questions and her cleaning lady, Krystal even delivered a phone charger to my daughter's home (I'm thankful Krystal lived close to her)

Sorry, The TV's work fine. They just have to be reset due to internet every once in awhile, they have to be unplugged from the wall and plugged back in. I wasn't informed. I probably need to leave a note. Sorry. Orchard gets watered twice a day three days a week, so I'm not sure how my 25 trees, Macadamia, Avocado, Orange, Lemon, Grapefruit could all be dead but to water more would leave me with an astronomical water bill and my 5 satsumas produced well, the avocados were doing ok, the oranges too, just a month ago... and I will have to see if the back tenants have someone living in an RV that was parked there last time I came there a month ago. Wish I had been informed. I wasn't aware. I saw the RV in their driveway. Sounds like the back couple that I've never had a problem with might have to be asked to leave. I will have Kristal check it out tomorrow. I pulled all the weeds a month ago. Asked Kristal to add it to her list each time now. Sorry. Back yard grass gets eaten by bunnies. It also gets watered 4 times a week. Yes, it doesn't do well. I have re-sodded once a year, at no avail. Sorry. Thank you for letting me know all this so I can make changes (except for the loser lawn. I had beautiful ground cover in the front but the worker scraped it all away in the front. So sad. Our drought is rough on us. Tenants have no windows facing the pool. Their master bedroom, if they really strained to look from an angle, they could see the pool. I am sorry I didn't plan better when I built the back house but there was only so much space and so much direction so I will add the same fence fabric to the back fence up high above the pool as I added to the entire side fence that prevents the winery from seeing people in the backyard.

Quiet one floor house within 15 minutes of Monserate Winery and various grocery stores. Parking for 2 vehicles easily, 3 if one in the center has some ground clearance. The kitchen was spacious and made cooking with family easy. The host was very responsive the whole stay. Thank you for renting your home to us!

Wonderful stay in Fallbrook next to a beautiful winery! It’s beautiful and quiet - would stay again!

We needed a large home for my family to stay for my daughters wedding in Escondido. They had a civil wedding in 2019 and wanted a big celebration following year but didn’t happen til this year. The house did accommodate us but we had a problem with beds. There were 3 couples and 2 singles. 4 Queen beds and a single bed plus a small single pull out (fabric was falling apart) in the dining/kitchen area. 3 of the Queen mattresses are firm and one is not. I have a bad back so I took the firmest bed which was in a dimly lit room. Lighting in the master bedroom was good except the fan wobbled a lot. The other room had good lighting but the mattress was very soft. Master bedroom has a Queen and single bed as advertised but hard to have one couple and a single person stay in one room. We arrived during the day and all was fine but my brother arrived at night and it was pitch black outside. I had noticed two garage wall lanterns and figured they were motion sensored. They were not and we had to use flash lights on our phones. But there should be more sensored lighting on the outside of the house. Kitchen was very nice - we did not cook the 7 nights we were there but it did lack silverware for 10 people. Bathrooms were great - the master bedroom has a spa like shower. The main bathroom has a long counter to fit everyone’s toiletries if you have multiple people using it. Plenty of towels and sheets but I prefer to travel with mine. The home smelled musty so bring a diffuser which I brought a couple to clean and purify the air. The furniture is dated but comfortable. My husband did notice two chairs that had broken pieces on the bottom fixed with wire around the bottom to keep together and we avoided using those chairs. The 4th “bedroom” is an office area with a bed, couch and desk and it has no door - it has pull down blinds and it’s connected to the living room and it has purple dim lighting. The backyard needs a little work to make it look nice to relax - table and chairs were not wiped down before our arrival and the pool was green. I didn’t look on Wed/Thurs when we arrived but on Friday when my hubby and brother wanted to use it they had to scrub it and it had algae. Texted Cindy and she had the pool guy out to clean it but on Saturday we were not comfortable using it. Cindy was great at texting me back answering my questions. Good place to stay all in all. Buy a glass of delicious Sangria next door and eat at Estrella’s in town.

I cannot say enough of how wonderful our week long stay has been. Cindy is just an absolute wonder of a host and accommodated our questions at the drop of a dime. In my title I mentioned any type of stay as in the type of group you bring to the home. We had a family of 6 with children aged 9,8,3,1. The fence around the pool gave a peace of mind, not to mention the hours of fun the kids (including my husband) had in the pool! There were so many floaties to use in the garage and also the ping pong table was a hit! The orchard in front of the house was so nice to walk through and gather avocados and oranges each day, not to mention the lizard catching my husband and oldest son partook in! It was just so relaxing and exactly what we needed as a military family in transit to our new home. Anything and everything you need for your stay is here!!! Thank you Cindy and we hope to stay with you again!

Convenient yet secluded nice place to stay!

This place was perfect for our family & pet friendly. Not far away from convenient stores & not too far from Oceanside as we wanted something in between SD & LA. My entire family enjoyed the pool & accessaries with all water play. Very pleasant place to stay & great open concept plan. Kitchen & bathrooms was supplied with everything you would need. Nice home away from home!

The stay at this home was beautiful. We will miss the quiet neighborhood, the pool and the stunning kitchen & bathroom, as well as the beautiful wood woodwork in the home. Cindy, our house was absolutely welcoming and always touched base with us with any needs we had. I would definitely stay here again!

Convenient location...

The 180 Red Mountain Lane property is conveniently located close to the I15 freeway so was great when we wanted to head into San Diego. Cindy, the owner, was super responsive anytime we had a question and was always extremely helpful if ever there was an issue. She has made good use of space so lots of areas for folks to sleep and also has installed black out blinds on the sunnier side of the home. There are lots of board games and pool floaties for family fun time. Unfortunately the pool wasn’t useable while we were there, but it didn’t effect our stay. Some other reviews complained of ants, yes there are ants, but anywhere you go in CA you are going to experience ants. If you clean up after yourself and don’t leave sticky or sweet things lying around you will be fine. We did not have a problem and we were there during a heatwave for 3 months. Cindy has set up her home to include just about anything you might need during your stay. She really wants you to enjoy her home and your experience while in her home. If there was anything that we needed, she made every attempt to accommodate. The hummingbirds out back are incredible to watch too.

Nice House with a pool to take a break from the city!

Cindy's house is big and well suited to a comfortable stay. The pool is what made the house a wonderful place for my kids but she also has a huge kitchen and very nice bathrooms. There is an orchard next to the house where we picked some oranges and sweet pomelos. Really nice. The landscaping is a little rough but I can see it's a work in progress. It ends up being a good set up for using the pool and not tracking dirt into the house. We really had a nice time there and would definitely go again.

The pictures do not do this nice wonderful home justice. It has all the essentials you may need, Cindy literally is the kindest and most helpful person/host I’ve ever encountered.

Fallbrook is the Avocado Capital of the world. Wanted Avocado trees so I have a family fruit orchard, mostly Oranges, then Satsumas, Avocados and white grapefruit. Lemons, Macadamia Nut trees, texas red grapefruit,

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Sits up high enough to have some great views. Next door is a wine tasting room. below is a gorgeous landscaped property view due to them having a well. This is in the middle of nowhere, yet in one mile you can be on the freeway, headed to Temecula or San Diego, all freeway to the beach. Beach is 5 miles south on the I-15, then 18 miles west on the I-76. Oceanside Pier. Zoo is probably more than one hour south, along with Legoland being less than that, southwest. All freeway, fast getting there.
Disneyland is maybe 2 hours with traffic. There is always traffic at that time.
