Wonderful Cabin!

We absolutely love staying at Haus am Fluss and thoroughly enjoyed our trip. The cabin is in a beautiful wooded area near the river, close to town but far enough away to feel secluded and peaceful. One of my favorite things to do is watch the sunrise over the other side of the river out the huge, gorgeous windows of the cabin. Incredibly stunning! The hosts are so kind and responsive. The best VRBO hosts we've ever had. 100% recommend this incredible cabin rental!

Week Christmas getaway

Lovely cabin, so nice to be by the river! Cabin was well stocked, even had shampoo/conditioner in bathrooms and kitchen had all necessary spices. Setup very nice and loved the house decorations!

Perfect cabin on the river!

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It’s in the best location - 5 minutes to town and all the fun of Leavenworth, but you feel a million miles away from it all. Wake up to the peace and quiet of nature and the river sounds along with beautiful views. We loved the cozy wood stove, ping pong table and game collection, the large dining room table, well equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds. Tracie and Werner were kind and accommodating hosts and quickly helped with any questions we had. We can’t wait to come back and stay again!

Breathtaking

This house was absolutely beautiful!! The property was gorgeous! It was in the perfect location, seriously less than 3 miles from everything, yet you felt secluded because it was in a private neighborhood, next to the river. The owner was very easy to communicate with and very helpful, especially since it was my first time using Vrbo! This was our first time visiting Leavenworth, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! It was amazing!

Winter Wonderland

This property is beautiful with 3 different floors for each of our 3 couples. It felt like a cozy ski cabin with beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows. The woodwork is amazing, which most of it was done by the owner. We even got to see 7-8 deer come up to the cabin from the nearby creek. The owners were so nice and helpful with a surprise proposal between our daughter and her boyfriend. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property as well as nearby Leavenworth.

Quiet and Great Location!

Our group of six really enjoyed our weekend staying at Haus am Fluss! Such a peaceful location with everything you need. The house was great, clean, comfortable, and roomy for our group. Beautiful Home and Property on the River

We keep coming back to this beautiful cabin on the river. Private, peaceful, clean and very comfortable. We love spending time on the deck watching and listening to the river. It is close to town and so many hiking choses. Hosts Traci and Werner are wonderful.

Perfect spot

Great home. Perfect location and space for our family's trip. House was great for all ages.. from our 8 year old to our 86 year old. Host was so helpful and nice. Kids loved playing by the river and looking for frogs and lizards. We will definitely want to stay here again!

Beautiful riverfront home

We enjoyed a beautiful stay along the river. Even with 4 days of 90-100 degree weather, the house managed to stay cool. Close to town, fully stocked. A wonderful experience and looking forward to staying again in the future.

Riverside Retreat

This was a great location for our annual girls trip! The house was as listed, and the hosts were available for questions. It was a short drive into town. It was so relaxing to sit on the deck listening to the river and playing games in the evenings. Coffee by the river in the mornings. We would definitely book here again.

Wonderful and Memorable Stay

We had the pleasure of staying in this delightful cabin just after the Christmas holidays, and it was the perfect spot for our family getaway. The home was incredibly cozy and welcoming, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere that made our trip truly memorable. The space was not only charming, but also very accessible, which made it easy for our kids to relax and play without a hitch.The cabin was thoughtfully appointed with everything we could possibly need, and we never once felt like we were missing anything to feel comfortable or at home. It truly felt like a magical Christmas retreat, with every detail adding to the holiday spirit.What really set this experience apart, however, was the exceptional hospitality from the owners. They were incredibly gracious, attentive, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. Whether we had a quick question or needed a bit of assistance, they were always just a message away, and their kindness and consideration made us feel truly cared for.We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend the holiday season. This was an amazing location on the river! We enjoyed sitting out on the deck and down by the river. We had plenty of room for my family of 4 with two teenagers and my parents. Tracie was a pleasure to text with.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

We came into Leavenworth for a girls trip and this cabin was the perfect spot for us to stay! Very close to town, but still had a private, secluded feel. It was very spacious and accommodating for the six of us, with everything we could need. I would highly recommend staying here.

Tracie and Werner Furrer är värd

Werner's parents migrated from Switzerland and have owned vacation property on this quiet secluded road since the 1970's. Back then the family put on many kayak races on this stretch of the river, and have shared their rustic cabin (next door) with many local and international guests.

Werner Jr. and Tracie were married in 1986. We were fortunate enough to purchase this property in 1999, and create additional family memories, while raising our two beautiful daughters. We built the home ourselves on weekends while living in Mukilteo. Every spare moment was was spent in Leavenworth creating lasting memories for our family and friends.

Werner Jr., with his father, started Werner Paddles (manufacturing canoe and kayak paddles). He moved on from Werner Paddles and Werner and Tracie started a home based Screen Printed business together. At the end of 2021 Werner and Tracie retired and moved into the original family cabin upstream of Haus am Fluss. We enjoy nature and the outdoors; running, kayaking, x-country skiing, hiking, and traveling, You'll be able to tell by the hand made furniture and wood trimmings, Werner likes a good project.

We've named our home Haus am Fluss, which is Swiss German for 'House on River.' We genuinely hope you enjoy your time at our home. We welcome you to absorb the tranquility of this natural setting, and at the end of your stay, wish you didn't have to leave. That will mean we've succeeded in sharing our traditional Swiss families' values; sharing, caring and welcoming others.

Varför värden valde detta boende

Werner and I were fortunate to have enjoyed the little rustic family property next door (upstream) while growing up. Werner even proposed to me in the family cabin on a cold, but beautiful winter day!! Now we own and live in the little family cabin as well, opening up the "big" cabin (Haus am Fluss) to others to enjoy. This peaceful area has been the one place that has grounded our souls. Everyday we wake up feeling fresh and rejuvenated; ready to tackle the busy week ahead. The sound and easy access of the river, the wildlife, and the remoteness (but very close proximity to Leavenworth), makes this property unique and special.
