Att bära stolar och kylare i solen är inte kul - och det finns ett mycket begränsat antal lägenheter med högre priser direkt intill stranden. Så njut av det svala och tysta huset - och luftkonditioneringen i ditt fordon på väg till stranden och poolerna!

Clean and comfortable desert home in secure area

This rental was perfect for me and my dog. Tiled floors, great patio, and second enclosed fence. Many homes out here have wide open patios. The house is very equipped with all required cookware and serving placements. The yard is maintained weekly by gardeners. The owner is a very good communicator and responds quickly to requests The Ranch has lots of included activities like bingo, pickleball, and many other events.

Nice

I really enjoyed it . It is a nice house and the view is great. The only problem we hade it was that the refrigerator didn’t work and we had to buy ice continuously to keep our food cold. Other problem it was the WiFi I couldn’t make it work. The rest it was great . Thank you very much.

We had a fun relaxing time!

Thank you John for sharing your home with our family. This is our second time staying here. We like the location and security it provides. Check in is easy. The home is clean and had the essentials. We went at the beginning of Corona virus so many of the restaurants were closing and pool/ jacuzzi was closed. It was bad timing on our part, but already had reservations so we went for it.

Beyond beautiful!

I couldn't say more about our stay. The host was very helpful and always answered promptly to help us with anything. The house was clean and a/c worked great. San Felipe is such a fun and relaxing town. We will be back!!

Very clean and tidy place.

Beautiful home in gorgeous location

Me and my family loved this property. We've stayed in San Felipe many times and in various types of accommodations. This property has been our favorite. The home feels like it's located in a remote desert, but without being deprived of the amenities one has back home. It's in a lovely community with large lots, so there is lots of privacy. The home isn't huge, but the architect expertly designed the property to feel open. You will not be cramped with 6 adults. My favorite part was the rooftop deck and back patio. If you're looking for a great getaway at a reasonable price, look no further.

Canadians in San Felipe for the first time

Beautiful house and just perfect for needs. With two dogs and a cat traveling this house had it all. Stunning scenery , comfortable beds and a large tv and Internet. Very accomdoting. Thank you.

nice place to end the day

John was a great host throughout the process, answering all questions, providing information, and sharing his personal reflections of living in San Felipe. Thanks John! The check-in process was easy, quick and as stated. The security staff were ever pleasant and courteous. The house was clean and a good layout. The location (at the most northerly entrance to El Dorado) was some distance out of town but a nice location to enjoy the silence of the desert. Sunrises over the ocean and sunsets behind the mountains were wonderful ways to begin and end the days...or simply reflect. Met some very helpful fellow Canadians on the visit who also live in San Felipe or have been going down there for 20, 30 years plus which was a bonus. Will be re-connecting with them for further info and insights as we research our winter getaway location.

Great house

Had a great time in San Felipe. Enjoyed watching the stars from the roof at night. Communication with the owner was great. Would definitely stay here again.

Loved the house

the house was beautiful clean and we felt safe and comfortable in someone else's house .. to me that was a plus to feel safe and comfortable ... for being our first time using Home away we were very happy with what we got and now defenetly do it again .. thinking of our new location .. very nice experience for our first time .. thank you for a very nice get away .. #homeaway

Peaceful place

I would call this a "casita"! It was very clean and contained mostly everything we needed. It was very peaceful to wake up in the mornings and sit outside with our coffee and enjoy the tranquility of the desert. We also thoroughly enjoyed the activities offered by El Rancho. We played tennis in the mornings then played water volleyball in the afternoon. We met some wonderful people who welcomed us into their groups. We also listened to live music while we were there. We were there only 2 nights, but would like to come back to explore San Felipe and the surrounding areas in more detail.

Thank you, we loved the place, had relaxing time after the beach, malecon & casino time!

Loved the floor plan, the views the quietness a bit further out than i thought but still a great experience my parents loved it took them out for their 50th wedding aniversary had their own bedroom to sleep in they loved it too the morning coffee time, great sunset and rise of the rose moon view 4/11/17!!

Good Casita

Nice casita, it has everything you need for your stay. Awesome surround sound system, nice big screen tv, blue ray player, xcellent TV guide by Dish. If it had WiFi it would have been even better. My suggestions would be to replace the mattress on the bedroom to the right when you come in the house. Unconfortable and noisy. Replace the blinds on the doors that lead to the back patio. They felled apart 2 times trying to open and close them. I wished the lights on the top terrace would have worked. Bathroom paper tissue and trash bags were not provided. Overall nice house, definitely will come back. My family and pet loved it. P.S. careful when in the fire pit at night. Snakes were present.

Peace and Quiet and Relaxing

The house is beautiful and well appointed. Most comfortable. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet. The small town of San Felipe is clean and very friendly. Restaurants are plentiful and very good. The El Dorado Ranch Resort is nice. It has pools, tennis courts, restaurants, bars, events and many things to entertain you. Landlord is beyond helpful for anything we needed. We really liked the views and the sunrises and sunsets. Very good roads to get you there. John was most helpful with directions and maps.

Was everything I needed

My friends and I were very happy with this unit. It took a small amount of leg work to figure out the stove/oven, microwave, etc, but otherwise met all of our needs in a place

Perfect house, just not adequately furnished.

We loved the house and it's quiet location. Loved the roof top deck and the lower patio for morning sunrise with coffee. Livingroom furniture was comfy and tv was fabulous. House was very nicely decorated with ample lighting and was very clean. That's where it ends... One bedroom right off the livingroom has the head of the bead on the same wall as the tv, impossible to sleep while someone is watching tv. That bedroom however has the comfy bed and a huge projection tv in it. The other bedroom which I would have preferred was off the kitchen on the opposite end of the house but...had an ancient spring bed that was hard as a rock and bouncy, no way I could sleep on for 2 weeks. Plus no tv in that room. So if the 2nd tv was in the larger, bedroom and the bed was replaced everyone would have been happy. As it stands I would not rent this house again unless there was a new bed. No one wants to sleep on an ancient spring bed so that room was useless to us and our friend slept on the couch witch was right outside our bedroom door with the tv on late. Made for an uncomfortable vacation.

Comfortable and beautiful place to vacation close to the US

The house is very beautiful and comfortable. It has everything you need: AC, TV with Dish with a very comfy sofa to watch TV with the family, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, kitchen appliances and everything to cook. Rooftop to tan, watch the sunrise or sunset. El Dorado Ranch has 2 swimming pools, one very large and both super clean. You have to drive a bit but it is a short drive. The private beach is nice but we liked the main beach better at el Malecón. John (the owner) was very nice, helpful and avail if we needed him. He sent us his cheat sheet days before our arrival and made sure everything was ready for us. We felt very safe and happy during our stay. We took our dog with us and it was very easy to cross the US boarder with him. We even got his teeth cleaned by a local vet :) They didn't have that many restaurants opened (I think it was low season) but the ones we visit were good and very friendly: La Vaquita, El Padrino Pizzeria and an amazing birria at a small taco stand called Los Poblanos (highly recommended). We would definitely go back and stay at the same house.

We adore San Felipe and look forward to retiring here. We've been coming here multiple times a year since 2003.
There's nothing quite like being able to hop on a quad and ride over to the pool or beach. Golf, fishing, AWESOME and inexpensive dining, great neighbors and volunteer opportunities, the mountains, the sea, the breeze, the desert - all the elements we love in one beautiful place.
